Audi’s latest generation A8L is on display at the ongoing 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Featuring the best of what’s new in in-car technology, wrapped in the finest quality of materials, the A8L embodies luxury and top-class engineering on four wheels.
Those amongst us looking to take a glimpse at Audi’s flagship sedan will not have to go all the way to Geneva as the carmaker has been busy testing it here in India for a long time now. The car has been caught on test yet again, this time in Pune.
As seen in the pictures, the test car features Audi’s latest 'Matrix LED' headlamps. The unique technology uses 25 high beam LEDs in each unit. According to the company, the headlamps work in combination with a camera, blocking out light from the high beam so as to not blind the oncoming traffic. Furthermore, this new technology ensures that it continues to light up rest of the area.
Additionally, the new A8L gets an updated MMI system, enhanced upholstery and an even longer list of equipment. Mechanically, Audi has continued with the same set of TDI and TFSI engines as before. Here in the Indian market, the 3-litre TDI diesel is likely to be the crowd favourite thanks to its strong performance and efficient nature.
