The 2013 Skoda Octavia has been spied testing once again by the guys at PowerDrift. While this has become a regular occurrence thanks to the car being spotted in Pune and Bengaluru over the last few months, what we do have for you is a very clear shot of the interiors. The 2013 Skoda Octavia made its global debut in the Czech Republic last year and is expected to reach our shores in October.
The interiors of the 2013 Skoda Octavia are pretty much the same as European spec model right down to the colour trims as well as the new black Skoda logo. Noticeable features include dash mounted infotainment screen, steering mounted audio controls and climate control.
The instrument cluster retains the same design as the previous model but now has a much better information display system. Skoda’s global website also reveals that the passenger seat gets a storage space underneath.
Skoda will be offering this new model with choice of four petrol and four diesel engines. The petrol range includes 1.4TSI in two states of tune – 120bhp and 138bhp. The bigger units include the 1.8TSI pumping 177bhp and 2.0-litre TSI for the vRS version, though we believe that this mill is unlikley to come to Indian market.
The diesel options are 1.6-litre TDI developing either 103bhp or 108bhp, along with 2.0-litre TDI available in 147bhp and 181bhp guise. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a six-speed manual or via two automatic gearboxes; a six-speed for the diesel and a seven-speed for the petrol.
