We have seen spy shots of the car and also the spy shots of its official pictures and finally here are all details of the new 2014 Range Rover Sport. The most interesting addition by Land Rover to the all-new model is the optional third-row seats that stay hidden under the boot floor and can accommodate two children.
The Range Rover Sport looks like a cross between its elder sibling and the Evoque with floating roof and extended headlamps. Like the top-spec Range Rover this one is also 420kg lighter and hence will be evidently quicker than the previous generation model with lightweight aluminium chassis.
In the US it is available with 3.0-litre supercharged petrol V6 and 5.0-litre supercharged petrol V8, pumping 340bhp and 510bhp respectively. For India we will get the 3.0-litre diesel and 4.4-litre diesel, along with top-end 5.0-litre petrol.
The prices of the Sport start at USD 63,495 (approx. Rs 34.5 lakh), with top-end costing USD 93,295 (approx. Rs 50.7 lakh). By the time the car arrives in India that is by the end of this year, the prices will be a bit more than double with the revised customs duty.
