Dacia (The Romanian subsidy of Renault) has unveiled a limited version of its Duster SUV called the Adventure Edition. As the name suggest the SUV has been designed to trundle many length and breadth of the bare earth and has many features that allows it to achieve exactly this.
The special edition SUV features front and rear skid plates, roof mounted spots lights, blacked out rear lamps and special red arrows denoting where tow rings and jack can be attached. The outside also features special Adventure Edition decal, radiator grille with gloss black finish, OVRM covers and tinted windows
The compact crossover sits on 16-inch black metal wheels and is offered in two shades Glacier White and pearl Black. The Duster Adventure is based on the European spec Ambiance variant which is equivalent of the Indian-spec RXL version. It is available in both the 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains.
The inside has been done up in a special upholstery that features white stitching. The centre console has been trimmed in gloss black while the AC vents steering wheel ring and door handles are in white. We are guessing this combination is reversed if the car has been chosen in the gloss black external paint.
This Duster has also been fitted with a Garmin GPS which has been given a waterproof casing and free updates for a lifetime. While it looks like the Renault/Dacia Duster is quite successful in India, It is unlikely that such an edition would make its way here. However, it would be welcomed quite eagerly by the significantly large off-roading community that exists in India.
