Mercedes-Benz has created ripples in the luxury auto market with its unveiling of the new 2014 S-Class with its state-of-the-art luxury features and design styling. It is a well-known secret that the company is planning a coupe version of the S-Class and the company has now released sketches of the car prior to the unveiling at Frankfurt.
These images are not the first glimpses of the car as it has been sported earlier with CL badging indicating that it is likely to be the successor to the current CL-Class. But that doubt has been cleared with the new sketches that clearly indicate that the car will be from the S-Class family.
Like with most sketches, there is no information on the powertrains or other underpinnings, but we expect the S-Class Coupe to sport similar powertrains to the S-Class Sedan when it reaches production, including the twin-turbocharged, 457PS V8 found in the S550.
Like with most other Mercs, an AMG spec version will also be followed by a mad attempt by the insane geeks at Brabus. The S-Class will definitely make it to India eventually, and we hope that this coupe will too, though with a ridiculous price tag.
