Fiat has announced that it will launch the 2013 Linea T-Jet on April 1. The car sits on the top of the Linea range and is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine which produces 114bhp and 200Nm of torque making it one of the most powerful and sporty vehicles in the C-Segment.
The 2013 Fiat Linea T-Jet will be a model year change with new features inside and outside. Fiat is expected to introduce the refreshed version that is already on sale in Turkey and Greek as the 2013 Linea. The Indian model will then also get a revised grille, front bumper along with a significant amount of chrome. The bumper will get a lip but the fog lamps and headlights remain the same.
At the back, the lights are expected to stay the same but the number plate will be moved to a slot on the boot. The Linea might also get significant amount of chrome inserts and the Indian car buyer - who has always had an affinity for all things shiny and bright - will certainly like this. The interiors are expected to get more kit as well as revised upholstery.
Fiat had updated the Linea and Punto last year during the Auto Expo in Delhi, but did not introduce the facelifted T-Jet. The Italian car maker probably opted out due to low demand for petrol vehicles. However, Fiat is now overhauling its image in India and plans to introduce sporty models including the Abarth Punto. It is also possible that the facelift will later extend to rest of the Linea variants.
