Chevrolet has silently launched the 2013 Model year Cruze sedan in the Indian market for Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It gets an all-new front fascia and a new design for the alloy wheels but retains the same overall appearance.
The 2013 Chevrolet Cruze gets a new front bumper, grille and chrome surrounds for the fog lamps. The side profile and rear end remain exactly the same as the outgoing model allowing it to retain its muscle car identity. Inside, the Cruze retains its all-black interiors, feature list and design as before.
The 2013 Cruze will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 166bhp and a monstrous 380Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual or the six-speed automatic.
Chevrolet has also revised the prices of all three variants of the Cruze. The LT variant has been priced at Rs 13.75 lakh and is Rs 13,000 lesser than the outgoing model while the LTZ variant now costs Rs15.25 lakh which is Rs 19,000 more than the outgoing model. The top spec LTZ AT variant has been priced at Rs 16.15 lakh is Rs 57, 000 more than the outgoing car.
The Chevrolet Cruze competes with the recently launched Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Skoda Laura. Now with the festival season just around the corner, we can expect that Chevrolet dealers will offer major discounts and offers on the 2012 model year Cruze.
