The Chevrolet Spark will get a facelift for 2013 and the images have been revealed ahead of 2012 Paris Motor Show debut. This is the same hatchback that is sold in India as the Beat – of course with a few changes to reduce costs. The 2013 Spark MY (model year) has already been unveiled in the US and this version is similar to look at, only powertrain options are a little different.
Changes to the front of the car include a new grille, fog lamps and a revised bumper. However, the signature split bow tie design has been retained. The new model will also get 15-inch alloy-wheels and an LED stop lamp under the rear spoiler. The Spark will still be powered by the same 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol mills, building 68bhp and 82bhp respectively.
The Spark is actually exported from India to few European markets and hence we expect that the Beat will also be upgraded soon, needless to say, sans few features and safety extras. The Beat facelift has been caught testing in India few times and we expect facelift model to arrive by the end of this year.
As for Chevy, the Beat won’t be the only new model on display at Paris Motor Show. The company will also display all-new compact crossover, the Trax, to rival models like the Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster at the event in September.
