As confirmed in Amsterdam few weeks ago, Ford has unveiled the new Modeo sedan for Europe. This sedan is another global model in Ford’s range and is already available on the west of Atlantic as the Fusion – of course with much bigger and only petrol engines.
The most important bit about the new Mondeo is that it is available with the tiny 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine – same 120bhp and 170Nm torque specs that it will have for the EcoSport compact SUV in India. It will be the entry-level model, while the bigger variants will be offered with 1.6-litre EcoBoost or 2.0-litre TDCI diesel mill.
The new Mondeo is a stunning looking sedan based on the new design philosophy of Ford. The American car maker plans to bring this model to India by end of 2013, to fill the space that has been vacant since they stopped offering the previous generation Mondeo in 2002.
