The Indian Auto magazines presented the awards - Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) and Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY).The expert jury members evaluate or test as part of their profession and are known for their analytic skills and competence. Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. R.P. Singhania, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., said, “This award truly reflects the choice of the experts.â€
This time there was a close contest for the ICOTY award and after all points were tabulated, it was the Honda City with 68 points that emerged the victor. The Hyundai i20 finished second getting 62 points and the Skoda Fabia with 58 points, was third.
