Toyota launched the Glanza in India at a starting price of Rs 7.21 lakhs. Post launch, the company has sold around 1,830 units of the premium hatchback in June 2019. The Glanza is the first Toyota badged product to come off the Toyota-Suzuki JV, which is essentially a cross-badged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Between April-June, Maruti Suzuki has shipped around 4,496 units to Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
The Glanza is available with the 1.2-litre petrol as well as the 1.2-litre Dualjet hybrid option. The former produces 83bhp/115Nm and can be had with a five-speed manual/CVT. The latter is good for 89bhp/113Nm and can be had with a five-speed manual only. The hybrid tag comes courtesy of functions like torque assist, stop-start technology and brake energy recovery function.
The Glanza is available in two variants – G and V in four trims - G MT, V MT, G CVT, and V CVT. Click here to learn more about variant specific features.
