The Toyota Etios siblings will undergo yet another facelift and these models have been spotted testing in India recently. A report from GaadiWaadi suggests that the facelifted twins will be launched in the Indian market on October 15 and features cosmetic changes both inside and outside.
Changes to the outside of the refreshed Liva siblings include a new grille which is now more in line with the Japanese automaker’s new design language which it debuted with the new Corolla. Toyota has also redesigned the OVRMs to include indicators. Inside, Toyota is now believed to be offering improved fabrics and door trim but the rest of the layout and design remains the same as the current model.
We believe that there will be no mechanical changes to the facelifted Liva. This means that both cars will continue with the 1.4-litre diesel mill mated to a five-speed manual. The sedan gets a 1.5-litre petrol while the hatchback gets a 1.2-litre four pot petrol mill both mated to a five-speed MT.
We expect that these cars will be priced just marginally higher than the outgoing model but will come with an introductory price due to the festival season.
