The countdown to Auto Expo has started. And now that every manufacturer is pushing to grab attention, Tata Motors has teased the Falcon 5 (F5) through three video clips ahead of the mega event. The campaign that began on January 20, 2014 and will culminate with the unveiling of the sedan on February 3.
The video clips were released on Tata Motors official Facebook page for the Falcon 5. The videos were released in a sequence; first was the video on design, next was on connectivity and the third was on performance. Tata wants to promote the image of the car being an evolution on all the fronts – design, performance and connectivity and refers to the company’s Human Machine Interface (HMI).
The F5 is redesigned to appeal to everyone’s tastes and will break the shackles from the traditional Tata products. The performance will come from the Revotron series of engines and the Multijet diesel engine. The Revotron is the new range of small capacity turbocharged petrol engines developed by Tata in-house for the F5 and F4 (Bolt).
The F5 is not an all-new product and is rather a re-engineered version of the Manza sedan with a smaller boot to duck under the four-metre mark. The F5 will compete against the likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Swift Dzire and Hyundai’s upcoming Grand i10 sedan. After its unofficial unveiling, the F5 will be on display at the Auto Expo in Tata’s stall.
