With a new facelift expected to arrive in April next year, the Skoda Rapid will be getting a special edition to keep the car updated. The new edition to be called ‘Rapid Ultima’ will be launched by February and is expected to be priced more than the existing ‘Elegance’ variant.
According to a Zigwheels report, the car will be similar to the other variants in terms of design and changes are mostly introduced to the interiors along with some stickers. The car will feature stripes on the bonnet and roof with stickers on the sides as wel. The ‘Ultima’ badging will be seen on the boot and on the rear doors. Inside, the Rapid will get a two tone dashboard with a chequered theme coupled with two-tone leather seats. Rear parking sensors and reversing camera will be standard on the car.
The car will be available with the same 105bhp, 1.6-litre diesel engine the current variants have, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The C-Segment sedan had been given an update in October this year. Projector headlights, bluetooth, steering controls, ABS, dual front airbags and 14 inch steel wheels were added in top-end model with an optional leather package.
