Audi has released teaser images of a new crossover coupe concept showcasing the carmaker’s futuristic styling. This concept car will be exhibited at the North American International Auto Show to be held in Detroit in January 2014.
The teaser images show the concept car having a single frame grille with horizontal slats and the headlamps that are swept back. The rear overhang seems to be short even though we do not have a clear side image of the car. The front left three-quarter profile of the car also shows the low roof and C-pillars which are thicker than the A-pillars. The vehicle boasts of a bold ‘tornado line’ and stands tall on 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the four-seater car, though futuristic, is anticipated to have minimalistic design. It features a flat-bottomed steering wheel, circular vents and a full-length centre console. Audi hasn’t released any details about the engine specifications but confirmed that the concept car combines a host of visual elements from future sports car models.
In addition to these teaser images, Audi had recently teased an image of the Q1 crossover. But according to insiders, unlike the Q1 crossover, this new crossover coupe concept will not wear the Q badge when it enters production. To know more about the car we will eventually have to wait for its unveiling scheduled to happen at the Detroit Motor Show.
