2014 Duster facelift unveiled by Dacia

Dacia has released official images of the facelift Duster ahead of its unveiling at the Frankfurt scheduled for the 10 September. Dacia has opted to drift away from the D-Cross concept that was showcased at the Sao Paulo Motor Show last year. The changes will most definitely be replicated by the Renault Duster when it arrives in India next year.

The front end of the car has received the most modifications, with the introduction of new sectioned headlamps, redesigned grille and a refreshed bumper air intake assembly. The Crossover also flaunts a pair of scuff plates at the front and the rear along with along with a slightly revised exhaust tips and tail lamp cluster. The Duster now rides on a new set of 16-inch alloys to match the ones found on the recently launched Nissan Terrano. Changes to the inside of the car or the underpinnings have not been revealed yet, but the facelift will in most likelihood house the same set of engines found on the current generation model.

When launched, the Duster created ripples in the auto industry with its styling and affordability. But with the launch of the EcoSport and the Terrano, the French crossover might have lost its grip on the affordable mini SUV market. In that front the facelift might help Duster to rekindle its presence among the growing, crossover loving population. We just hope that the CVT automatic petrol and all-wheel-drive variants are part of the update.
