Maruti Suzuki is on a major spree to spruce its line-up. It has launched the Stingray hatchback for Rs 4.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is expected to be followed by the facelifted Swift and most likely by the end of the year, the replacement for the SX4. This car was spotted recently sans camouflage by Team-bhp who has now posted detailed pictures of the interiors.
The pictures reveal that the car will beige and black combination for the interiors with faux wood inserts which will only be available on the top spec variants. Right from the first glance, it is evident that many of the components and the features have been taken or copied from the more expensive and rather hard to spot on our roads Kizashi sedan.
The steering and the controls mounted on it, gauge cluster as well as the panels on the dashboard have all look like they have been taken from the Kizashi. However, what appears to be new is the music system which now gets a colour display and options for AUX and USB. Features are expected to include rake adjustment for the steering, internal mirror adjustment, all four power windows and chrome door handles and accents for the AC vents.
The top-spec variant (most likely where the interiors shots were taken) has also been spotted. We have already described in great detail previously and the only new feature that seems to be on this seems to be the alloy wheels which looks very similar to those found the S-Cross SX4.
The SX4 Sedan has never been a major success for the Indo-Japanese automaker and it seems that now be a good time to replace it with a more modern looking vehicle. However, the SX4 moniker is unlikely to go away as Maruti will bring the new crossover to the Indian market sometime next year.
