Honda dealers have begun taking advance bookings for the upcoming Amaze sedan. CarWale spoke to a few dealers who said that they accepting booking amount in the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh. Dealers commit that the car will be delivered within the next three months.
Honda has not official opened bookings for the entry-level sedan and these bookings are at dealer level only. While we expect Honda to launch the Amaze next month, the company has not confirmed the date as yet.
The Honda Amaze will be the Japanese automakers first diesel for the Indian market. It is a sub-four metre compact sedan and will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC oil burner which produces 90bhp and will be mated to a five speed manual gearbox.
There will also be a petrol variant which will be powered by the same 1.2-litre mill that sits in the Brio hatchback and Jazz. It produces 88bhp and 109Nm of torque. This variant will also be offered with the option of a five-speed automatic gearbox, the same one that made its debut on the Brio Automatic a few months ago.
