Nissan has launched a special edition of the Sunny sedan. Most of the changes to the car are purely cosmetic and unlike the Micra Primo edition, which features a contrasting colour roof and bright body graphics, the Sunny special edition has rather subtle tweaks.
The special edition of Sunny gets rear parking camera, a spoiler and extra chrome treatment for the logo just below spoiler. The inside is pretty much the same as the base XE petrol/ XL diesel variant save for leather seats and a 2-DIN touchscreen music system, which by the look of it doubles up as the screen for the rear camera.
The Nissan Sunny is available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 99bhp and 134Nm of torque or a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that produces 85bhp and 200Nm of torque. Both mills are mated to five-speed manual with the option of an X-tronic CVT automatic gearbox (launched with the Scala) to be made available within the next few months.
Given that the Scala are the Sunny are the same car, expect some of the extra stuff on the Sunny to make its way to its French cousin soon. Nissan has not specified any price for the special edition Sunny.
