The 2014 Dacia/Renault Duster has been spotted testing in Romaina by the team at ProMotor. Two cars were spotted testing in the snow at Vatra Dornei and were both the 1.5-litre engined 4x4 variants.
As per pictures the car remains mostly the same from the outside and most of the changes have taken place within the vehicle. However, with many related concept vehicles like the D Cross popping up in the last few months we doubt the body design will remain the same for the next model.
A majority of the changes have taken place inside the vehicle. There are changes to the gauge cluster, new music system as well as control on the steering wheel, though it must be noted that the top-end Duster in India already gets steering mounted controls. Also spotted was cruise control and some newer functions located near the parking brake like the Eco mode and the speed toggle button.
While the Duster is a slightly more premium vehicle in the Indian market, it is sold almost barebones in Many European markets with the price difference between the top-end and base variants quite significant. The reports suggests that there is no major change to the dashboard but rather the website hopes that the new Duster will get many features developed for the compact SUV in other markets and this surely means features like the rear air-con unit as well as the seats that are present in the Indian spec Renault.
Since the Duster is doing quite well in our market, It is likely that Renault will continue with the same vehicle for another year before introducing a facelift of any kind.
