The 1.0-litre engined Hyundai Eon has been launched in Nepal. Launched for the Indian market in May this year, the car is externally the same as the 800cc version but as the name suggests is powered by a 1.0-litre engine offering more power and torque.
The three-cylinder 1.0-litre Kappa mill produces 69bhp, 95Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and is equipped with, what the company claims, the latest Dual VTVT technology. The company claims that the car has an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.3kmpl.
The Nepali market like India will get this version of the Eon only in the top-spec Magna variant which means the feature list includes AC, power steering, power windows, engine immobiliser, keyless entry, 2-DIN music system with AUX and USB.
The Nepali spec 1.0-litre Eon is manufactured at the South Korean automaker’s plant outside Chennai here in India and then exported. It is distributed there through Laxmi Intercontinental, the official Hyundai dealers in Nepal.
