Hi Everybody.......
I m writing this review almost after 1 year of usage of my Wagon-R Lxi petrol , I bought this vehicle in June-2007 and till date have completed 10,000 Kms. Total distance covered on Higway and city both.
Starting about the driving comfort - The seats of the car are pretty nicely positioned for the driver and passenger comfort. Power steering is smooth and easy sitting on the driver and codriver seat if u push u r seat for maximum legroom, the space is more then santro which is the best part as i sit in the front seats always. I get the mileage of 14.2 on highway as i have tested recently on a drive to Chennai both on AC and Non-AC, City mileage is 12 on AC in bangalore.
Service is easy and in approach for maruti as always.
Things missing in Lxi are power windows(Front), One more thing is i feel maruti should give small support to place a plank on the boot space, where u can get the speakers fixed.
Good Fuel Economy, Sleek style...,Low mantinance cost and low operating coston AC the pickup goes down adn on the gear change i feel a slight jerk.....Exterior/Styles

The best car in the segment (better than Estilo, Santro) in terms of looks(though personal) and comfort. Like other cars of its segment, it has comfortable space for 4, and can fit 5 people without being too uncomfortable. Feel of the car is very good, like big cars. Plastic quality is really very good and Its center mounted Speedometer looks great and usually found in high-end cars like Nissan, Audi etc… You can see the same in new Indica Vista.. why? Because its good!!! So, if anyone will say that its uncomfortable, I will say ...

I've driven a WagonR ever since it was launched in India [the current one is my third WagonR] and absolutely love the way the car drives. It can go anywhere and carries loads of stuff. Very easy on the wallet and on the arms [my mother drives the WagonR - she loves it too], it is an ideal family car. For my parents, ease of access is very important in a car and that is what the WagonR provides. Its quite comfortable too and they take it all around the town. For my Brother and myself, its an absolutely tension free car that we can drive around without any hassles.
Its a well balanced car for an Indian Family and provides everything that is needed to be comfortable. The only drawbacks are that it is cramped for space with five occupants and is plasticky. The plastics can be of the softer vareity as used in the Maruti Swift and nothing much can be done about the width,
All in all a comfortable, affordable car to drive and that is why I vote for the WagonR.

I bought my Wagon R in December 2005, and had it retrofitted with an LPG kit in 2007 when I moved to Mumbai.
It is a great car to drive. I drove it down from Delhi to Mumbai when I relocated here in 2006, and must admit, there was not an ounce of fatigue after being behind the wheel of this car for 750 plus km each of the two days it took me to drive down. In fact, I enjoyed the drive so much that I did not even share the driving time with my father, who was travelling with me.
In the city, it's the ideal car... spacious enough, yet compact to squeeze into tight parking spots that you find in south Mumbai and elsewhere. My wife loves to drive it for its ease and manouverability.
Maintenance wise, very easy on the pocket. The routine service, including the oil change, barely costs Rs2,000. I've had just one flat tyre in my 29,000 kilometers of ownership over the past three years, but then again, you're not really the owner of a car till you've changed the tyre once, right?
My only disappointment (if I may term it that) is that it gives a slightly lower mileage on LPG. I get a mileage of around 12 kmpl on LPG in the city, with the AC running around 80 - 90 per cent of the time, while on petrol, on the same driving conditions, it gives me around 16 kmpl from day one. This could be an issue with the kit, but my research tells me that it is a wider issue, since the Wagon R duo too returns about the same mileage despite its factory fitted LPG kit. however, it's more of a slight irritant than a problem, and not even that when I'm on the highway since the 48 litres of LPG in my tank, coupled with a full petrol tank ensures I don't need to stop for fuel before 1,000 kms. Besides, I like the car so much that I've been toying with the idea of getting myself another one and fitting it with CNG for my city runs of 100 km per day that I do for my work. So far, my research tells me that the car gives around 20 kmpl on CNG, which if true, would mean that it would be almost as cheap to run as a scooter or motorcycle on a rupee per kilometre basis.
Recommended for the nuclear family - self, wife, and two kids. Comfortable, hassle-free, reliable, and a great drive on the highway as well. Moreover, parking is a breeze, and the AC ensures you're able to chill out in the thick of traffic!

I have owned four Maruti Suzuki vehicles and two imported cars before and found the Maruti Suzukis reliable. The present Wagon R , an AX (Automatic) is definitely the most reliable small car I've had, very reliable, very comfortable , very smart and perky and very roomy. Its an ideal car for city driving and for the highways, with enough ground clearance to clear most road humps and bumps.
Being an Automatic Transmission car, the fuel economy is understandably low, but in my humble opinion, I think I should just earn a bit more and enjoy the car.The Dealer/Service Dept (Mandovi Motors) have been the most friendly, courteous people I've met who understand the vehicle very well and the Car always returns like new after each servive.

I had been using my Wagon R for quite some time now.
Indian customer looks for a car with great value for money proposition.Wagon R is where is search ends.Very competetive pricing.Great luggage space, good head room (for those 6 feeters),good fuel economy (city 14.5kmpl,highway 16.5-17kmpl),seating height is really good (especially for old people),damn cheap spares & service, are some of the points that make it value for money.
There are two costs of owing a car.One is the ownership cost (cost of car) & second is the running cost.Wagon R scores well on both there points.
There are certain negatives such as the interior plastic (trims) quality is not up to the mark & the AC could have been more powerful.
I have benchmarked many cars in this catagory & finalised the Wagon R.Finally I will give a rating of 4 out of 5 for wagon R.
Good Space,Excellent Ergonomics (for 5.5 ft & above heighted people),Less 2nd row seating space (only 2 people can sit comfortable),Inferior plastic quality (Interior Tr

it is a good car and one can say that it is a good value for money. In VXI model I have very good innovative features like day and night view mirror, which is of great use while driving at nights. Other features like electerically adjusted side materials, powerfull fog lights are really great and gives a complete feeling of luxury in small car.
Fuel mileage is also no more a issue as it easily gives 14kmpl - 16kmpl. Low maintainence costs, great performance and style adds all plus in its kitty. Overall its a very good car for middle class families.
