K let me get one thing clear here. Waggy is not for the trend seekers. It is a stable family car so talking about power is irrelevant. Im not going to take my family on a death ride at 140 kmph. 80- 100 v v safe.

 

Exterior K looks ordinary from outside and that is one of its biggest drawbacks.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good on space. leg room. Again if you are a city driver and that too metros the boot is almost irrelevant (you are not carrying 2 suitcases daily).

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Stable. Drove it for 20 mts on test drive @ 90K approx. never felt she'd slip out of hand. At 16 kmpl that is v v good mileage.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Good as described above.

 

Final Words Mein aur mera Wagon R ek sukhi parivar.

 

Areas of improvement The back side is majorly messed up, but then show me 10 other cars and we can find 10 faults.

Final Words

 I bought Wagon R Vxi on September 2010,  comparing many cars of the same size and budget,  I found this one with more inner space better for small children and a nuclear family. After purchase I found slight problems in the gear shifting (first and reverse),  have completed two free services,  went for a trip to Agra at an average of 80 KM speed,  now the engine is noiseless,  gear shifts smoothly,  and the vehicle has become handy. Happy with its performance and will recomend friends to go for this. Good for  family.  I feel it may be risky to drive above 120 KM speed because of its height and small wheels, but for people who love racing and especially bachelors could not be satisfied and not preferable.  Good and could be enjoyed by  a small family for shopping, picnics and a day's travel.

 Tyre size could be improved as similar to Swift

Areas of improvement  

 Full transparency needs to be maintained while dealing with the customer.

 This could improve the customer relationship with the company. Company needs to call directly to the customer to know the feedback of the customer regarding purchase experience etc.The dealing s of the concerned sales person with the relevant details and transparency as can be possible because care can be given to only one area of bad experience instead of no concern or good concerns. Also customer's right should be placed always high against any other thing .

Fuel economy style and low maintenance costNothing is bad in the product

 

Before starting I want to say that I own this new WagonR 1.0 LXi(petrol) for more than 2 months now & has driven 2250 kms both on city roads & highways.

 

Exterior Great designing, much better than the old soap-case looks.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors look great, cant expect more space in a budget hatch-back car, riding comfort is also quite good.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is superb, thanks to the much-talked-about K-series engines. Fuel economy is pretty good, giving 16-17 kmpl without AC & around 15kmpl with ac. gearbox is also very smooth, new cable gear shift mechanism is awesome.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Shockers are really good, 13" wheels gives this car good stability at high speeds. handling & driving this car is just fun, totally effortless driving.

 

Final Words Proud about my choice of buying this car.

 

Areas of improvement Only the ac is not so powerful, though not bad, but not upto the expectation. Maruti should improve in this department to make it the best hatch-back car in this price-tag.

 

Good fuel economy, spacious car, looks like a mini-SUV from exterior, great manoeuvrability.AC is below expectation.

Exterior Looks very good compare to  ancester vehicle, the headlamp, front grills and height make the vehicle look very good. The rear chrome plate of wagon-r makes different look to the vehicle. 

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good feature like ac, tilt stearing, audio pannel, comfortable leg space, cushioning of seat is good. The interior engine noice should be reduced.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Overall performence good, economy good at 80-100 speed, smooth gear shifting. But the reverse gear  shifting is littlebit problematic sometimes.

 

Ride Quality & Handling: comfortable, smooth drive and easy to handle

 

Final Words: Good car for the money paid.

 

Areas of improvement :  To be improved in 2nd gear power, littlebit in interior. They should review of making usb port and charging point at one console area.

Exterior Not that much of a looker

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not enough space on the dash board to keep useful items like phones, Sunglasses, etc

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performs well on any road. Good for city driving. Less power on 2nd gear but quite good enough for Bangalore traffic. Highway handling is easy and quite steady without vibration at speeds between 120km to 130kms. Gearbox needs a lot of redesigning - lot of fear of gear slippage during driving. Gear shifting from 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th is quite smooth but 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd (useful for city traffic) is pathetic. Fuel economy is fairly good. I am getting around 13kmpl in Bangalore traffic. AC is good but Compressor sound is a bit too high.

Ride Quality & Handling Can improve ride quality. Handling in city traffic is not an issue 

Final Words Good value for money and best suited for small family.

Final Words      Every thing fine except the apollo brand tubeless tyres which I feel is not fit for Indian road conditions. I feel it is brittle and not tough enough because ona small impact the front right tyre of my new car cracked through on the side and became useless.

 

Areas of improvement         Use of Apollo brand tyres should be reviewed and a detailed analysis on this brand may be carried out to ensure its suitability for Indian road conditions. I will not use this brand any more or recommend to anybody. In fact now I am scared to drive my new car with this Apollo tubeless tyres fitted. As a retired Mechanical  Engr. from ISRO, I can say that the tyre is not having the required toughness in view of my bitter experience.

Exterior Exterior is very stylish compare to previous versions. It has the highest height in all hatchback. Width is too small. Bumper quality is OK.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is value for money. Nippon audio system in Vxi is horrible. USB support is missing. Back seat is spacious for 2 persons only but it's comfortable. Plastic quality is also OK.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Without AC ride is fine. With AC, car drags in lower gear. Very good fuel economy. Gearbox is far better than previous versions.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good in city area. Due to it's high height it's difficult to manage on highway with 80KM/H or higher speed.

Final Words Best budget car in 4 - 4.5 L range. Petrol, CNG, LPG options available. Good for first owner. Easy and cheap to maintain.

Areas of improvement Audio system, Engine Power, Diesel option with more powerful engine

I bought Lxi(Petrol) in April 2012 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from Kiran Maruti. Nice showroom and very helpful. I drove it for 2500 KM till now. I wanted to go for Vxi but after seeing Nippon audio system, I drop my plan and went for Lxi. I have installed sony double din music system with 190W sony explod speakers and it rocks.

Look, Fuel Economy, Height, Wide Door Open , Maruti trust, Resale Price, 60:40 seat splitSpace(small width), Low power with AC, Plastic quality, Inbuilt music system, small boot space

Exterior  New suspension, New lights, New front grill, Wagnor logo chrome finish in back is unique in the class. All in all much better looks compared to old version. Looks like a mini SUV. Very stylish graphics in DUO model.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The actual catch is here. On par plastic quality, nice console, neatly integrated music system, best sitting position, lots of space in rear too with class leading rear leg space

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A 1000cc K-series engine, it is reasonably smooth. Gearbox is smooth. It needs a little more gas when ac is on and we drive at low rpm(its tuned for city driving and better mileage). Have driven some hundred kilometers and getting approximate average of 15+ in petrol and 20 kmpl in CNG.

Ride Quality & Handling.. Drivability is vastly improved. A newbie driver can easily handle it with confidence. Road grip is good.

Final Words Go for it if you practicality, comfort and value for money over style and speed.It's my first car although i also drive chevy UVA (parent's car) but i like maruti suspension and heard also very good in after slaes service.

Areas of improvement Wagon R is good in all aspect expect pick up with AC in 2nd gear.
