Exterior I like the exterior. I have a baker's Choco shade and it's shine is really blinding. You can't ignore a WAGOn with such a shade amongst the crowd.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) WAGON's strongest positive is the interior. Immense space, great leg space. Best for tall fellas. The Seat seems to be bit low down, i feel little bit low while driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not at par with peers. The pick up is slow, You have to change gears swiftly to hit a speed of 60KMPH but the gear box seems cloggy. The strokes of gear is ofetn incomplete. Fuel economy is unique. I was getting 16kmpl from LPG even before 1st Servicing without AC. it must be around 18-19kmpl now. The LPG indicator is not accurate. Often gives false sense of fullness.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent..both are satisfactory.
Final Words Best buy for your first car. Pros exceed cons by miles. Cost effective.

We brought the all new WagonR VXi model on 18th December 2014 in exchange to our 17 year old Maruti Omni. As we have a long 17 year old association with Maruti Suzuki, we decided to continue the relationship with the most trusted brand in the Indian car market scenario 😊
As we are a tall family & I am 6 feet 2 inches tall boy, so WagonR was our only choice.
Exterior The exterior is decently designed. The blue eyed headlamps grabs eye balls wherever the car goes and are the first in its class. The new car is almost 80 mm longer than the older one which had a length of 3520mm compared to 3599mm of the new one. This surely increases the leg room to a great extent and makes the car stand apart from its competitors. The VXi and LXi versions have a height of 1700mm along with roofrails. This car has the best head room ever seen in any hatchback. The rear headlamps are bigger and the chrome grill with a WAGONR badge on it surely adds a definition to the car's rear. The front face has sharp sexy cuts especially along the fog lamps which appeals the overall impression of the car. VXi version comes with a rear wiper and deffoger thereby providing a great visual help in cold and foggy atmospheres.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interiors are ergonomically designed. The VXi version offers a tilt steering wheel. The quality of plastics is good and the dashboard comes in beige and black along with silver trims which surely adds a good definition to the interiors of the car. It is one of the biggest dashboards I've ever seen. There is an additional small storage compartment above the glove box to store tin containers of soft drinks. Besides, there are 2 cup holders for the driver and the rear passengers. The car provides the best leg room and the best head room in its class. The front seats has a travel of 240mm which is highly adjustible for short and tall persons.
The boot space of just 180 litres disappoints for those who love to carry a lot with them on trips. The car offers a 60-40 rear sear splitting so that you can fold the seat and store more. But this is not preffered and the low boot space surely disappoints.
The instrument cluster is attractive. Speedometer and tachometer are analog whereas the odometer and trip meter are digital. The font size is appropriate and neither too big nor too small. However, the car doesn't displays the instantaneous mileage. Also there is no display indication of the unclosed doors as you see in a Swift. The car rings a chime signal if the driver's door is not closed properly. There is no indication of the unclosed passenger's door.
The most important feature of this car is the basket tray beneath the front passenger seat. You will find this intelligently designed feature only in Maruti Suzuki WagonR. You can use it to store valuables and also as a small basket during short picnics. The in-built music system from Nippon is fair. However, it lacks Bluetooth which is quite essential these days.
Rear parking sensors are also absent & one needs to externally fit them. I would recommend you all to go for Maruti Genuine Accessories in this case as fitment from the roadside vendors may cease your extended warranty of the car. Its always better to pay more to MGA for the rear sensors than to fit it outside and void your EW forever. A rear view sensor with LED display from MGA costed me Rs. 3200/-
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The car comes with 1 lite 3 cylinder light weight aluminium K10B engine with a plastic inlet manifold. Engine delivers a good torque of 90Nm @ 3500rpm. Power output is 68PS @ 6200rpm. The NVH is bad to my disappointment and you hear the engine in the cabin at low rpms. The engine stabilises at high rpms.
The engine response at high speeds is good. Engine is BS IV compliant with Onboard diagnostics OBD-II & I've heard that it is also E90 compliant. In the subsequent years, cars would use E85 & E90 engines which consists of 85% & 90% by volume Petrol alongwith 15% and 10% ethanol respectively.
Fuel economy is 15 kmpl in mixed traffic conditions of city and highway along with a minimum AC usage.
Gearbox is improved with new cable shift and detent pin technology compared to the link shift on the earlier model. It facilitates smooth shifting. However I found the top gear to be tough and demanded more muscular force.
Ride Quality & Handling The VXi model comes with 14 inch wheels. The suspension is good but not the best. You do feel the bumps. The car has a good grip on highways and retains stability even at high speeds of around 140-145kmph. Top speed is around 150kmph. The car has a power to weight ratio of 77PS per tonnes which is not good enough compared to the ALto K10's 88PS per tonnes, which uses the same engine. This could be the reason for the poor pickup of the car. WagonR generally stabilises at a high engine rpm & the engine loves to be revved.
Final Words The car is a good value for money package and will cost around 4.8 lakh rupees onroad. Its looks like a mini SUV and a perfect car for a small size family with tall members. The service of Maruti Suzuki is the best in the Indian car market and this car fulfills most of the expectations of a middle class buyer.
Areas of improvement NVH needs improvement. Rear sensors and bluetooth missing.

Exterior
Shape is bad. I am sorry to sa ythis. Aesthetics not at all considered. Can't they make it like a small SUV with all other features same. This one factor can change the buying decision of a customer. In Japan they have good version of WagonR. I do not knwo why these sra not brought to India.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Excellent. Space... unbelievable.Milage is good. Boot is enough for 2 families.visibility is good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Good. It justifies the price.
Ride Quality & Handling
good.
Final Words
I will give 65 outof 100.I am planning to buy a car. WagonR will be an option if the looks improve.
earlier model was better as it looked more solid. New shape looks shaky.
Areas of improvement
Looks. Looks only. It can improve a lot. Now it looks as if it was fallen from a height and got flattened.
Average, space,Maruthi brand value...as a family car its good.Looks... its ugly.Higher CG which can affect stability. Not at all stylish.

Exterior Looks aren't great, could have been better. not much change from previous model. however car's length is increased which is great. The bonnet feels like its left opened due to the gap which is visible easily from a distance. But overall exteriors are improved alot from previous version of wagon R.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior have gone thru major changes from cheap plastics looks to nice curvy interiors, nice design, excellent leg room for front and rear passengers. Comfortable ride for 4 tall adults. cup holders, map pockets are well placed. Seat Fabric, design are lot better now.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Economy better than competition 14-15 in city, gearshift is improved but still has furtherscope . Gear level is not comfortable to hold. but the engine performance is quite impressive, zippy engine and drivebility is too good to describe. Overall it looks like a refined version of wagon R.
Ride Quality & Handling Power steering is smooth, good city riding, comfortable journey.
Final Words Value for money car. overall too much satisfactory in terms of after sales, repair costs, service network, and a very spacious car.
Areas of improvement Looks, Dashboard, Gear Lever, in VXI Model the stereo must have USB connectivity
Engine, Price, Service Network, Mileage, Comfort and Spacelooks aren't great, gear lever is not comfortable, car body is not sturdy

Exterior The shape of Wagon R is not satisfactory.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior (Upholstery) not up to the mark. The company should make it similar to or at least close to Swift's interiors.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent in Engine performance and Gear box. I can not evaluate the fuel consumption of my car because of the bad roads I have to drive on a daily basis. I have to drive in second gear for a long distance due to the road 'quality'.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good. Handling too. We can make 'U' turns even in a very narrow road very easily and quickly. It is one of the advantages of this car.
Final Words It is a good car; I would say a family car, and worth for money. The user will not be unhappy with this car for sure.
Areas of improvement The shape, Fuel consumption and Interiors (Of course).
Though it is very comfortable the external appearance is not that much satisfactory to meInteriors can be made a bit more better (like Swift). It is a spacious car in the similar catagory

Exterior Shape of the car need rational improvements.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and features are fine and Value for Money.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I got 16.19 kmpl on highway. Meter reading was 79 km when full tank is done. we went on a drive for 244 kms on highway to a temple in Bidar from Hyderabad. after I reached hyd I did full tank again at 323 reading (323 - 79 = 244) and filled 15.07 litres of petrol at 323 reading. so it came around 244/ 15.07 = 16.19. I used 2 points AC for 30% of the ride as weather was cold and we were 5 elders and 2 kids. I yet to check city mileage.. Will update after 2 weeks.
Ride Quality & Handling Quality of the ride is good 80-90 speed but at 100 and over not much comfortable.
Final Words I purchased on 22nd december 2010. It is good and value for money.
Areas of improvement Shape of the car need more improvements.

Exterior It has got good exterior quality. though it looks small from outside, it is compact and best designed compared to alto, a-star, estillo.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are very big, spacious and not crumpled as is the case in alto, estilo, a-star. 5 heavy peoples can sit comfortably with best leg space in its category and head rest also. features like great dashboard, integrated music system, 3 cup holders gives it a looks of luxury car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is very good, gearbox need to be improved for 1st gear, engine is very smooth with our noise vehicle is smooth in driving.
Ride Quality & Handling Except for bad quality of our roads, the ride quality is excellent and handling of car is easy within 90 km. so dont go beyond 90-100km on highways as it also gived 20+ km per litre on high ways.
Final Words Good overall package in interiors, luxury, comfort, pricing and mileage.
Areas of improvement Height of driver seats should be increased for proper road visibility as short and thin people find it difficult to drive. even power be added to 2nd gear as it lacks pick up as acceleration lacks power.
best interiors compared to other cars in this segmentless pick up in 2nd gear
