I purchased SX4 Zxi in April 2009 and have driven more than 2000 km. Its a superb car & most importingly it is real value for money. It is loaded with so many features that they are not even in top model of New Honda City. Its ground clearance is highest (190 mm) compared to all other cars. This is very important feature seeing the Indian road conditions. I have driven my car even on 165 kmph (with AC on) on NH-24 but its stability at that high speed was remarkable. I am getting an average of about 11 kmpl in heavy traffic of

Exterior Good exterior. However, there is very little rear view while back driving for parking etc.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good interior but some space could have been provided on the dashboard for keeping papers or little things. Amber lights in clock and temperature display is not enough to make the reading visible in day time, it can be improved. USB port is on such a place that it creates difficulty both in fitting pendrive or replacing with another gadgets. The space to keep water bottle is such that one litre mineral water bottle fits with difficulty; it may be increased.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very poor. it gives 7-8 kmpl in town and hardly 12.5 kmpl on highways. If you reconcile with it on the ground that you pay for the huge fuel consumption for the exterior, high power, AC, comforts, etc. then its alright otherwise it matters.
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Words Head lights very bad. Fuel consumption heavy on pocket in any standard.
Areas of improvement Improve Head light quality, increase fuel efficiency. No car will match it then.
Exterior, Road Clearance, Wheel base,Light (its very poor and not safe for night driving with the head lights it has),

Exterior Good size and attractive looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable seats though comapred to outer size inner space is much less, good aesthetics, could have better dashboard, absence of bluetooth is disturbing.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Wonderful test drive I had, very smooth slightly better than Honda City & far better than Hyundai Verna & Fiat Linea. The paddle shift and manual gear shift both were extremely comfortable and as smooth as in an auto transmission car. good pick up and very good and instant controls. Even comfortable in very crowded areas. Easy turning in spite of size.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride & smooth handling, loved it after the test drive for 20 odd km.
Final Words Must buy far better in comparison to Honda City, Hyundai Verna & Fiat Linea; at least in terms of Price VS performance. Great impressive looks. Well manageable big enough size on garbage ridden crowded Indian cities with narrow roads & uncontrolled traffic. Booked already after pondering and research over all the competition. This is a clear winner accross classes!
Areas of improvement Interior space styling, dashboard, bluetooth a must.
Looks, size, ground clearance, elegance, height, seats, servicerear leg room, dashboard styling.

I have been a very Maruti Loyal for the past n number of years. I have been instrumental in purchasing atleast 5 cars from Maruti since the past 8 years. This time I had to decide between a Vento and a SX4. My preference was SX4 since I was getting a fully loaded car in the amount of the base model of a Vento. I approached the dealer AutoVista whom I had given a business of 4 cars in the past 2 years. I made an offer of 3 cars outright purchase (group) and asked them to negotiate. There was no follow up from their side as if Maruti is not interested in doing business. Since it was my need, I followed up several time. They sent an invoice for ZXi variant of Rs 8,36,000 to which I made a contra offer of Rs 8,30,000. To my surprise, they send me another invoice after 1 week mentioning the rate of Rs 8,50,000. I sent an email to Maruti Suzuki, however there was no response from that front. I think they are IT challenged.
I have never seen such unprofessional and poor customer care from a brand like Maruti. One thing for sure though, this was my last dealing with the company. Suggest you guys to consider other brands, Martui Suzuki has lost its charm in India.

I have been waiting to have a look at this mean machine since I saw that in an Auto magazine about 8 months ago. When I saw that the day it was launched, I was literally amazed. I thought of going for a A4 vehicle later this year. After just looking at it I had changed my mind 50%. Then after the test drive,I decided to go for it atonce. As soon as I finished the test drive I booked it and early next week I'll be a proud owner of the "Man Machine SX4". Compare it with any car in the catagory A3 and A4. Nothing comes near to it. Only the difference of this and A4 segment is 1800 cc and the SX4 is a 1600 cc.Even that doesn't make much of a difference as everyone knows the Indian road conditions. No one can cruise above 100 or 120 Kmph continously for more than a few minutes. I did a comparitive study of length, width, height, weight, wheel base, bhp, torque etc with the Fiesta, Verna,Aveo,Optra,City,Renault,Accent in. The Drive By Wire and the M series Engine are all you can never expect in a A3 segment car. The Dual airbags, ABS and EBD, In dash Mp3 player with 6 speakers, iCATS technology security system,Steering audio controls,Climate control A/C,and the 16" 205 sized Alloy and tyres are some to be specially mentioned as great features of the SX4. To conclude it is an " ".

Exterior Nice satiny finish, great quality metallic paint.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfy plush seats, good music system. Enough legroom in front/rear seats. Huge boot, mine takes two golf sets with trolleys! It feels like a high-end car as far as comfort is concerned. Runs over speed-breakers without bumping much.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Quiet efficient engine, powerful, but a little greedy on petrol. I get an average of 11 km/l driving in Delhi with A/C. I haven't done longer runs yet, so I can't tell if it'll substantially improve then.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth handling, great power brakes.
Final Words I really like this car. For a little over Rs 7 lakhs, I've got a car almost in the Honda City bracket in terms of performance and looks. Good smooth pickup, powerful brakes, high level of comfort for the driver and passengers.
Areas of improvement The reversing sensor should be supplied as standard - I had to buy mine - it's really needed as it's a high-back car.
I love the stylish looks, the acceleration of the engine, the effective A/CDifficulty in viewing the back while reversing

Exterior Very good exterior. Only problem is right side piller (near rigt side mirror).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good Interior. Needs to improve on plastics used inside. Sitting comfort is very good. U feel like sitting on SOFA on rear seat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Low pick up hence need to take care while overtaking on highways. Fule economy is not good in ZXi as it gives only 10 to 11 KMPL. Maruti needs to improve in fule economy as petrol prices are going up day by day.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is good. Need to increase pickup. Also if we go above 100 we do not feel safe inside. Right side piller near right mirror obstacles while taking right turn. Reversing is problem and need to take special care while reversing. Maruti should provide reverse camera and Blue tooh.
Final Words One can buy this car as it is value for money.
Areas of improvement Need 1600 cc engine for Disel version. Also needs to improve on power in Zxi version.

Exterior Its amazing with sucha bouncy looking Car. Perfect height, Shape , amazing boot space 505 ltrs. Night lamps. looks are much Macho like some Armani Exp Purfume bottle is not sexy but the purfume is, same applied to SX4.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good dashboad, feels like in cockpit of Airplane, comfortable staring, gear box is fitted at right place, music sys is good. I drove 25km and found it a pleasure. My wife was totally amazed with car power, smoothness ..thanks to good shockers. Space in front is suff for driver and front seater. good space and legroom Feels like u r in SUV. at back some 3 perosn of 80KG + can sit comfortably. Comforta nd security this car fas ahead with verna & Vento.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is 1238CC, powerful, fast pick up within 3 seconds i ws @ 40km. Fuel eco I heard is of 21km. bad to bad case 18km in city area. Once SX$ is on Roak, HOnmda ia kId, Verna Loks Wanan Be Hondacity/ Civic. Feista is outdated and Vento is more money less features.Indians fooled by VW this time. Gearbox is very smooth and comfortable< i had no problem to drive.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride was royal, felt Macho and also feel that car is not taking up more of Diesel. Handling was amazing, i never felt as I am havinga test drive. It was a fun drive and smooth, no shockers as I feel in my wagor R. Speedbreakers were like a formality on road.
Final Words Best buy, go for any version of VDi ista value for moeny. No otehr car give u so much. Verna Fluidic is a nothing, what I compare with.Best pasrt is fuel eco. and rear seats. Big boot and ground clearance.
Areas of improvement More optons in colros like Cruize.
