Exterior I love the looks of it. Got a white metallic. The new grill looks very upmarket. The new rims are not as sporty as the ones on the older model.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Auto air con is great, steering mounted controls, USB input, etc. Space is good. Big boot. Comfortable ride. Just check the tyre pressure when you buy it. Mine had a tyre pressure of 42 when it came out of the showroom. No wonder the initial ride had shocks.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gem of an engine. It pulls when you want it (well put auto). Fuel economy could have been a tad better. No probs with the auto box, it handles very well. Automatically adjusts to the degree of throttle push.
Ride Quality & Handlin Fantastic ride quality. Very stable at 120-130 kmph. The handling is not as great as the Honda but has a quieter and more comfy ride.
Final Words Great Car. Superb value for money. The interiors could have been better (they look a bit dated). Go for it.
Areas of improvement The interiors need an upgrade in terms of design and quality of materials.
Good Auto, Nice Looks, Very stable, host of featuresThe interiors need to be a bit better in terms of quality

Exterior Very good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The best and beautiful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine very fine the gears are very good but not as swift as honda city.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable and never tieriing.at times iam driving for 789 kms a day.
Final Words I have not driven any thing better or u can say i cannot think beyond the expierance I am getting.
Areas of improvement The headlights need to be replaced by projector lights in the diesle sx4 as iam eagerly waiting for it as i drive almost 400 kms everyday. i have been driving this car for almost 3 years and have done 130989 kms till today and i dont find any complaint appart from the headlights.i am eagerly waiying for a diesle version as i i have to take long journeys.the music system should have been usb enabled. there should have been a provision for using the lap top.the arm rest on the rear should have a cup/glass holder. The pick up of the car should be a little better as it cannot beat even the sift desire.
the drive the comfort the economy and all that is bestthe head lights.these should be replaced with projector lights in the diesle version

Exterior Exteriors are attractive. Powerfully built body and bold looks. Not only looks solid but actually it has a very strong body.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are also quite good and boot space, side holders, dashborads are very nice considering the price of the car compared to its rival. Seats are quite comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is powerful. Even while driving on CNG you will not feel that performance is anywhere deteriorated. About fuel economy, the petrol delivers only 9-10 km per litre. Now that could be discouraging considering the rising fuel price. But I feel considering the solid stuff this car has and unshakeable element it has while riding at higher speeds, one can compromise on low fuel efficiency. If you have CNG installed it will give u a city traffic avg of Rs. 20 per kg. That's incredible and u should always expect factory fitted CNG kit to be safer. Gearbox sometimes shows minor noises while shifting to lower gear or back gear. Other wise gear shitfing is quite comfortable.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding is superb, noiseless (if you have AC on), even at higher speeds it shown stability owing to strong stiff it is made up of. There are minor issues while turning right or left. I belive that is because of muscular sides it has. Ground clearance and tallness of the car as compared to H -city and vento makes driving easy a
Final Words Considering the car's price compared to rivals, features it offers, low maintenance cost, low repairing/replacement cost, service stationd adequacy, I would recommend this car. I believe the car has not taken off in terms of sales mainly on account of- Lower fuel efficieny and competition offered by Maruti's swift dezire itself. Else its a good deal anytime.
Areas of improvement Minor gear shifting issues. Back sear AC not there in VXi version.
Grea fuel economy while on CNG running, Minimum noise while inside the car, steering comfort..Cruise control not that good while turning right or leftExterior/Styles

I am satisfied with the performance. It has an excellent power. Really It is a good car to drive. Amazing power & Pickup, At 150-160 you will have great Grip and Control. Price is cheap when compared the Features. Simply, dont waste ur money on buying any other car.The best amont all the cars in this category. In few days SX4 will be purchased by many. The dealers and Maruti should market it more. The advertisement is very brief and not much attractive. The drive only once you allow any one to drive then you will see definetly he/she will fall in love. The best car for what you pay. I will repeat it again and again that it is The best car for what you pay..........

Swift is great combination of style & performance. it has been a wonderful experience for past 2 yrs since I'm driving this car. The styling has been immaculate & totally new for Indian roads. It has a good interior space & the interiors are also decent enough. The overall mileage of petrol version is good enough for a petrol car & I've got around 13-14/Lt. The only disadvantage I felt is its ground clearance which I think is a bit low. But that apart its a classic car. The maintainance has been pretty reasonable which is an advantage with maruti cars. Gr8 fuel efficiency, sporty looks & Maruti........a gr8 package.

It was the last week of Sept 2008 when I was exploring the market for a family sedan. The choices were Honda city,SX4,Verna, Fiesta and Aveo.Equipped with all technical data from carwale site like features, ground clearance, turning radius, mileage( that time this data used to be in the carwale site but now it appears to have been withdrawn) , I started test driving these motors.Lookwise , the SX4 imprssed me the most while the City was virtually noiseless with good interiors. While AVEO stood out on economy, the Verna's interiors were dashing.
Hailing from Kolkata, from the utility side , high ground clearance was topmost in my mind as Kolkatas famed monsoon can bewilder the best of cars. Potholes jump out of nowhere and so does those nasty speed breakers.SX4 was clearly a winner in this area and it helps a tall frame like mine(six feet and two inches) slip effortlessly in the drivers seat. Featurewise with built-in-glass antennae(Honda has those nasty ones sprouting up) much like the Chevrolet, all four speakers on the doors, integrated music system , immobiliser system I can vouch that at that price it was pretty attractive.
Two areas , that I cultivated apprehensions from users reviews were
a) In view of high rear end, it is difficult to monitor the rear through the rear view mirror and hence one should equip himself with rear sensors or even better a camera.
b) The frame holding the quarter glass in the front obstructs the drivers view while taking a right turn.
On the fuel economy I was prepared for lower mileage ( distance per litre of gas) as one has to trade fuel economy with driving pleasure.
While test driving I could see that it is clear to see the rear through the rear view mirror and all those funky camera things not really required.I have now been driving this car for the past six months without having any trouble while reversing.
The front side frame is a bit of a problem but not to the extent made out to be.
On the fuel economy, I am pleasantly surprised . I drive at least 30 KMs every day in Kolkata city and am clocking 11. 3 KMs per litre. The darting ability of this car is tremendous as I realise when I shoot out the moment traffic signal turns green and is indeed great for city driving too.
I have put on leather seat covers that makes the interiors look plush. The seats are wide ( like executive class comfort) with adequate leg space .The suspensions allow you to sleep over potholes and other irritants. The AC is powerful and add to that a great music system makes driving a pleasureable experience.
Great Style, MUV features like ground clearance, easily slipping into the seat and so on.sloppiness stlyling of dashboard top.
