Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire [2015-2017] User Reviews

  I have purchased Maruti Swift Dzier(VDI) from Kiran Motors Ltd. (Ring Road, Nr. New Opera House, Surat) on 07/02/2014. After 3500 km I was getting the problem in reverse gear. The reverse gear shift quality was not smooth and not active at the same time. During my car’s 2nd service (19/06/2014) I complained about same problem at service station of Kiran Motors, Bamroli Road, Surat. They tried to solve the problem but after some time I faced same issue of reverse gear. Too resolve reverse gear issue I have sent more than seven times my car to different work shop of Kiran Moters  (5 times at Bamroli Road Work Shop, 2 times at Puna Jakat Naka Work Shop, and 1 time at Adajan Work Shop). Even though, I am facing same problem right now. During my last visit at Kiran Motors Puna Jakat Naka Work Shop, my car perfume and mobile earphone have stolen or missed places by them.

    I have also complained on 18001800180 to Shruti on 18th Oct 2015(complain no 767001546), but that complain closed without any status. Costumer care didn’t have any answer for above complain. I have also complained on 18001800180 on 27/01/2015(complain no 9010430426) and on 12/02/2015 (complain no 3065162614) regarding same issue of reverse gear problem. I have also dialed many times on your ahmedabad office nos(079-4003660, 40036671), but no one pick up the phone. After no proper answer received from customer care. I went the Show room of Kiran Moters and I have talked with them in very bed manner. After that they called Mr Siddharth Rathi(08511142101) to check my dzier. I went to Kiran Moters workshop Adajan, where I explained my problem in dzier and Mr. Siddharth examined the reverse gear problem and told to Mr Snehal change GEAR SHAFT FORK, but problem was not resolved after changed the part. 

    Then I have dialed on delhi no 011 46781000, 4615 0291. They gave me another no 01242340106 of Gurgon (Mr. Aditya Kapoor & Mr. Rajendr). I also talked with them; they gave me another no of Technical Head (Mr Prasant-07698950777). I also talked with him they gave me another no of Area Manager (Siddharth Sahegal -07622021776). I talked with him and again meeting fixed at Dhru Moters Work Shop. I explained the problem to Mr . Siddharth Sahegal examined the reverse gear issue. According to him reverse gear problem is not problem; It is mechanism of GEAR pattern. He explained me if reverse gear not shift smoothly then bring the gear at neutral level then again pressed the clutch then pull the gear in reverse position. I have to do this procedure 2 to 3 times at same time. It is very ridicules. I was demeaned to him to check in another car. He provided new demo Swift through Kiran Motors. I also founded same problem in swift. From that and according to Mr.
Siddharth every swift, swift dzier, ertiga have same problem of reverse gear. If it is true then its big disaster of Maruti Suzuki Company. Maruti is no 1 car company of India. Why Maruti can’t solve the problem of reverse gear in every car. Many times I feel that to sold my car but due to financial (invested 7, 75,000 Rs) implication I can’t sold my car. I don’t hope that Maruti has any ans for same. 

 

Good Fuel EconomyLess Spacious, Reverse Gear Problem.

I purchased Dzire VXi 2015 (face lift) in Bangalore by mid of April. I had a old Santro earlier, so  wanted to go for the entry level sedan for which I preferred Dzire. After the purchase in 20 days I have covered 1600 kms which includes 10% city and 90% highway and also completed the first service in 1032 km.  so I feed it is good enough to write a review.

Exterior

Exterior has no major changes (in VXI and VDI) when compared to the old Dzire other than retractable OVRM, other changes are just namesake.

I personally feel the gauge thickness of the sheet are less (when compared to old Santro) to reduce weight and improve mileage. The sales man himself says while closing the front bonnet just drop and do not apply force to close which will damage the bonnet. The fog lamp assembly plastic are fixed in bumper so it is not so rigid which we cannot expect also.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Interior is beach color which is very difficult to maintain black would have been better choice. The boot space also not bad it will easily accommodate a family stuff(……. No’s) of 3 to 4 days family trips.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Sometimes you need to see the RPM meter to check engine is ON or OFF.

Engine performance is awesome in highways but with A/c in the fly over bumper to bumper traffic pick up is less in 2nd gear in low RPM in higher RPM may not feel much difference.

The Gear shifting is smooth

The first day when I took to home I got a mileage of 7 kmpl (referred from average mileage meter). This is because of very long period of waiting in the signal and heavy traffic. Next day I took my car to my native which is around 250 km away from Bangalore. In te highway I got mileage of 20 km/ ltr with 80 to 100 kmph and with A/C (still it covers traffic till we come out from the Bangalore city in less traffic periods). Then I wanted to check the mileage only highway so I did reset in a state highway and checked the mileage got 21 kmpl with A/C speed was 90 to 100 kmph (referred from average mileage meter). This is about mileage which is good.

There are no vibration at all from till 120 kmph ( I checked till 120 kmph only as it is new born baby) So my maximum RPM was 2500 for a while I just checked with 120 kmph.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride quality is awesome.

Final Words

 This is the best car in this segment which has good comfort, moderate pickup as 1.2 l engine, good Mileage.

Areas of improvement  

1.     A/C vent should have connected to glove box to place cool drinks.

2.     Rear vent should have been for facelift Dzire there as Hyundai provides for I10 grand itself

3.     ABS should have been for mid and high end versions  it has provided for VDi.

      4.     Steering wheel could have been even sporty.

The ride quality is good, ride is comfortable. But the problem I am facing is I get a mileage of 15-16 (full tank to tank). Whereas the fuel meter in the car is showing an average of 21-27!!!😲

When I brought this to the notice of the service centre people, they told me the meter was ok. One of them even told me that the mileage is calculated only when the car runs at a speed of 20 km/hr and higher. I was amazed at this because that doesnot represent a true picture of mileage at a bumper to bumper traffic. Now is my meter wrongly calibrated? Or is maruti presenting a positive biasness to the users?

Experienced people please help!!!

Final Words Car is good. Please improve on the faulty meter reading part and remove the positive biasness on mileage front.

Style, Ease of driving, ComfortLatest updates missing as u get in a hyundai car, space less as compared to a Honda car

Exterior Having awesome looking from side, front & back view. Best styling in this price range.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Overall good in this price range of car. Having all types of feature for normally rewuired by every person.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox providing 17.5 KM/L with AC on in case of when an learner is driving it. Expert can take around 20 KM/L very easily. I think Amaze , Xcent & Tata Zest not providing this fuel economy.

Ride Quality & Handling Village road are always bad, this car is designed for villagers where road are not good. On good road nano also provide good performance but in case of bad roads there is need really good car. So it is best in this price.

Final Wordsbuy it if you want sedan car in this price range. Best car for middle class family.

Areas of improvement Changes are always required in every area after some time. Its nature truth.

Got my swift dzire vxi yesterday (14 June) and have driven 460 kms already.. so iam writing this review.

Exterior Exterior of the car is awesome the car looks big and attractive from front and rear.. tho from the side the boot doesnt look so good.. overall very nice looks

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dual tone interior looks very good.. space in rear seat is good..many people said it has less rear seat space but its not true.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sounds really smooth while idling, and while driving aswell, engine gets really hot when driving around 100-120 for an hour or so.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very good .. car corners at 100 kmph very easily, but consider changing 165mm tyres, I got MRF ZV2k on my car.. the tyre noise is high above 100 km/h.

Final Words If u love speed you should buy swift dzire petrol which is best car under 7 lakh. Unlike amaze which is restricted to 140 km/h. But id recommend getting ZXI which has airbags & abs for safety. If you drive above 120 kmh.

Areas of improvement 185mm tyres on VXI/VDi atleast if not alloys, better sheet metal, foldable rear seat, height adjustabel seat for VXI, ABS for Vxi.

Exterior New face lift is good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nothing special same as previous models.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is good and fuel efficiency is also good

Ride Quality & Handling Breaking is very bad in my car and the engineers from maruti claiming that it's because of wrong size tyre fitted in the car by factory.

Final Words The vehicle delivered faulty and maruti is not able to locate the problem yet. When break applied at speed of 60 and above the car deflects to left very rapidly. They have changed tyres to 185x70xR14 instead of its original 165 profile tyre. They are claiming that the original tyre which came with the vehicle is wrong. The dealer has driven the car for 500 Kms as test drive. If any one wants to buy a dzire please check the breaks before you take it. No one from maruti have contacted me and I have written a detailed complaint to maruti and never heard anything from them.

Areas of improvement Customer support need to be improved by maruti and they should respond the problems of customer.

Exterior Very good with sporty look headlamp comes with crome shafe which improme exterior quality.

Exterior New face lift is good Dual tone interior, Electric foldable OVRMs, Black tinted headlamps, Light Steering.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excelent in this segment comfortable boot space

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good with excelent pickup with constent milege reverse gear problem. with unexpected noice.

Ride Quality & Handle Excelent with total control even in hilly area. 

on highaway it works like spaceship.

Final Words I have purched new car from Chougule industry satara, on 22 oct 2015, after driving 2500 km I m here to write review for my car.

one car show in this segment really value for moneyCar is awesome and more confident now with stylish looks and performance is good. I will definitely suggest to buy.

Areas of improvement Back seat space, revearse gear, A/C for back seat, besic acceserry with new car.

Everyone who looking for new car in this segment should choose this car whis u never be disapointment.

Exterior interior comfort good fuel economy,reverse gear problem

Exterior Looks Very Good, And mix the Extra Crome look Better Than old Model.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good but same as old model, one think is good the providing the electiric ORVm.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Super and silent on road, gear box is very easy, engine is very power full.

Comfort: Low Noise Interior, Rich Interiors, Nice design but No power windows for Ldi. Vdi is Awesome. You name it you get it in Vdi.

Ride Quality & Handling Good With Comfort, Handling is good.

Final Words Best Option  in Value For Money

Areas of improvement Air Bags, and Change the Interior. It is very populr car in today and most wanted car in a small familiy. It is good like other then car. it is very good sporty loock.

Best Features: Bold looks, Good A/c & Dual color interiors. Needs to improve: On Exterior Aerodynamic design.

Over alll this car is very good for small family, and good for city and highy way use. Great with sedan class costing me around Rs 7.99 lakh on road with some accessories.

Good Fuel, Rich Look, and Very ClassicNot Finding

Exterior Looks ok, I liked the first version, the most. Chrome look makes it look little funky and not classy.

Headlights and fog lamp are better now, shape from the front is good. No change from side or back in looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good things about interior:- Dash board is amazing with dual colors, good displays, nice grip on steering (Leather cover would have made it awsome though), Front seats are spacious and confortable, ride is comfortable since suspensions are very good. Handling for ORVMs electrically, is really a big plus, power windows, child lock etc. are good. 12 V socket are at adequate places. Sound quality is very good in the music system provided.

Bad things about interior:- Space on the back seat is very bad, three people can't sit comfortably, specially in long journey its very bad. AC is not very fast cooler, my Tata car before this used to get cool withing seconds. More features like blue tooth phone compatibility and streaming could have been provided.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is awsome, I have not seen such a pick up in disel engines. It is really a pleasure to drive this machine above 2000RPM. Fuel economy is another reason that will give joy to Indian customers. I m getting 20KMPL in city with AC on and heavy traffic.

Milage is 25 KMPL on highway, not driven too much though, I will update this review once I drive longer on highways.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is really good suspensions are superb, don't feel like a boat ride on bumpy roads. Handling is very good. Electrically asisted power steering gives amazing control.

Final Words If you have a small family (4 + 1 child), then its a very good car for you. Its a combination of style, luxury and also light on pocket (fuel economy). All in all a very good car.

Areas of improvement More space can be provided in back seat and in boot. More features can be provided in this price as the competitors are already giving more than that.
