Exterior Although the boot space is reduced, the space is still adequate for 3 moderate size bags. the new head lights, rear lights, turn indicators on ORVM, new front grill and new colours (pacific blue) all makes it delightful to watch. some people may complain about exterior looks as the car seem to end abruptly due to reduce boot space. but the performance and other features easily overweighs this disadvantage. i still wont call it as a disadvantage as persistantly increasing prices would definitely make other companies to make adjustments in looks in order to reduce the size. i will not be surprised to see more such cars with reduced boot spaces in nearby future and perhaps dzire holds the second foot step after tata indigo in this direction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Gorgeous biege and black combination. slide the driver seat a little forward (still comfortable to drive) and you get ample of space for rear seat passengers. i am almost 6 ft tall and still i dont feel uncomfortable in the drivers seat after sliding teh seat forward. you could never compare the space with long sedans of honda or skoda but obviously you could with the same genera of tata indigo or mahindra verito or manza. the only thing was an average quality music system that is provided by the manufacturer.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Company claims a high fuel economy and i think till now i have been satisfied with this claim.
Ride Quality & Handling lightest of most of the cars of the genera and smooth and easy pick up. no complains
Final Words who gives you a sedan (petrol version) in 6 lakhs with an adequate boot space, safety measures, music system and with such a mileage?

Interiors are also very nice and you get a feel of a luxury sedan. though there is scope for improvement..There is no rear cup holder. No economy speed indicators in the speedometer...

Engine is powerful and the pickup is very smooth.. But if you are driving in a city like condition economy drops down to 13 or 14 kmpl. till now even on highway i have attained an economy of 16.4..

Final Words My final words are that instead of a swift petrol version one should seriously think about the swift dzire petrol version as the difference is only 50000 approx. plus you get an integrated music system with 4 speakers. If you get your car installed with a music system installed outside you will easily push out 14 or 15 thousand rs on a 4 speaker system. so basically difference comes down to 35 thousand as swift doesnt come with a prefitted music system except top model.. If you are not a daily commuter or you commute less then 50 km the petrol version will not bother you much.. Diesel engine are heavy, there tyre wers and ters down more easily, there spare parts are costly, there service is costly, they make more sounds after some time, plus some people are allergic and feel nauseating to diesel fumes just like me. FInally after 3 years if you compare petrol car will cost you less then diesel..plus the waiting time on diesel is very long..

They almost increased one lakh silently when i enquired the same, people bought for 5,80,000 on road in the month of Aug 2014 and to my shock when i checked, currently they are selling for over Rs.6.4 Lakhs on road, Initially, i was very confused, which one to buy, amaze or swift dzire, Now i reached a conclusion to go for amaze, Thanks for the unbiased review, whatever in my mind is reflected in your review, Even after buying from CSD doesn't made me any profits, Maruti started treating indian customers differently, I feel cheated, The Interiors are congested, and they relay on other engine makers, but honda has got their own engine and the vehicle looks are eye candy and safety standards and comfort is good. The sales representatives are clueless how to convince the customer, here in india customer is King. If you want to push the old.

everything good. just 2 negatives---no defogger in Vxi model and space for 600 ml bottles only in the door pockets.

engine o.k. Could have been more silent though. fuel economy around 12.5 to 13 with ac ( as shown by the indicators). Gear box not butter smooth but decent. Steering is light. Good for City. haven't been tto much on the highway part.

Fine ride quality, good handling. Rolls a bit at sharp corners at the back seat. Handles potholes decently. Suspension is good. Ac cools effectively.

For 50000/- more you get a bigger looking car than the swift. End of debate.
Areas of improvement
Floor carpet should have been of dark colour. The thickness of glass in the doors is a desperate cost cutting example. bumpers could have been more solid. they are wafer thin( It is almost the same though in other brands). maruti should have been generous enough to provide De-fogger in Vxi Model
one major area for improvement is that place for Airbags at dashboard area in ZXI and Zdi models could have been designed for storing of knick-knacks in the Vxi/Vdi and Lxi/Ldi models.

Exterior Guys don't go for exterior looks, very few people cares about car styling especially tight budget country like India. Otherwise Dzire look is Fair, from front it looks like another swift. And from rear it looks like some1 has pushed car very hard Atlast its a sub 4m game. India and its Govt rulebook ufff.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior of car looks very refreshing becoz of 2 tone color. Beige color may get dirty very soon so one's need to take care of that. Seats are very comfortable and relaxing. It lacks many small features like bluetooth, Touch-screen or atleast Larger screen would be enough. I'm glad rear armrest is provided it is very comfortable for long journeys. Rear space is little tight 3rd person may squeeze depending upon size of passengers.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is as silent as night definitely its a big thumps-up. Sometime I get confused wether its on or off.. Overall 1.2 K-series engine performance is a big leap. It gives me 13kmpl in city and 16kmpl on Highway, average 14kmpl combined so its a good sign. Gear-box and shifting is very ease to go very smooth to shift. This is a car for quick shifting. Frankly speaking I am very lazy to shift gears. So I drive it on 3rnd and 4th gear majority at times. Impressed how it behaves. So, its a big big tumps-up for engineering side.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and Handling is very very smooth. I am stunned by how streering wheel is so so soft especially, roads like in India. Truly hats-off for such a smooth ride quality. Truning radius is also good can make turn just in once.
Final Words Lot of improvments have done against previous Dzire. I got special Dzire VXI edition name 'Regalia' which has extra wooden finish, parking sensor, Leather seat upholstrey which is very attractive with 2 cushions along with its signature mark on both inside and outside of car with graphical design. Really impressed with car. Enjoying driving to the core.
Areas of improvement Well Lot of things to improve against competitors who are providing extra small small features like seat height adjustment, must for car ABS with EBD and Air bags, bluetooth conectivity, sterring controls in mid variant car and etc. I think Indian Govt. should add saftey features 1st in their book rather than cutting on car's size.
Overall my best purchase till date.

To be honest, I like the exterior much better that its first version where the Boot was little bulky. But then it does not have that manly look that you get from a swift, its more like a tamed well mannered boy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It offers more space and comfort and the suspension is okay but then I am riding it in kerala so even an SUV will find it hard here. I like the two tone dashboard.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am getting 15.3 mileage here but thats more due to the pathetic roads here and the avg goes up to 18 when in highway or good roads.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good.
Final Words I would say its a good one and a proved car so if you do not want to take a risk go for it, you will not regret the decision. For me 4.5/5
Areas of improvement It is getting a facelift soon so we will see some additional features like startstop button and some good interior advancement.

Exterior Look and Style is captivating, Its under 4meter car to save big car's tax. U can't expect more than that on such price tag.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfort is quite good so far. My car run more than 5000 km in just 80 days, still good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pickup is mind blowing in petrol variant cars thats what I have. I never drove deisel so I can't tell about it. Petrol version produce 86bhp of power on just 1198cc engine that tells quality engineering form Maruti Suzuki. But the exact power any car gives is depend on power to weight ratio. It won't feel you down on highway & even in city.
Mileage is awesome when we are talking about sedan. To be honest it gives me 20.2km/l (petrol) so far on highway and almost 19km/l with AC. And the secret of that is just follow your tachometer, do proper gear shifting and most importantly drive it yourself, don't let that masterpiece in the hands of driver.(They drive roughly).
Final Words: The best thing is that it gives you exquisite driving pleasure. Only Ford Fiesta, Honda City and Honda Brio are on top of this in ride quality but some of them may upset you in terms of mileage. Its road grip is also remarkable...Oh, I hate when someone else is driving the car and I am just sitting and wondering other side. Music player's sound quality and new dash board is also good, no complaints. Thats why its the best selling car in that segment.
Areas of improvement: The petrol car engine isn't noisy at all but you could here tyre noise clearly. I think legroom is bit smaller than Honda Amaze and Maruti Ritz. Well suited for upto 5.9 feet person(But I am not technical in that area).

This is my first car and main purpose for going for maruti the mileage given by the maruti cars. I am new to driving and still not very perfect while changing the gears. The car has already covered more than 4000 KMs. In my lasy trip to himachal the car was driven driven and he was driving moslty at 120KM/h and Mileage I got just above 14km/l. This time i decided to drive my self just to check the claim made by the company. I have driven the car from Delhi to Chandigarh and I was amazed to see the mileage(19.07 KM/L) . I driven mostly at 80Km/h with AC on.
Further I went to Himachal. Driver few hundreds in City and came back to chandigarh and overall mileage i got was 18.8 KM/l.
I believe if driven with perfection we can get more fuel efficiency. I am overall very much satisfied with my car. I must say it is value for money.

It emits a brazing sound whenever the doors are opened and closes. Meanwhile a lot has to be done for mileage, even on highway's and ORR it doesn't exceeds more than 15KMPL. The exterior is good but it can be better with some modifications in the Floor mat. The Seats are made of the poor quality and the front grill below the bonnet is not upto the mark, it gives away when there is a strong wind or you happen to drive at fast speed. The body paint gives up very easily even a lightest scratch can be visible and leaves a dent on the car.
