The design and interior are gorgeous. Such a fabulous model in such a low price.
More spacious extra boot space and the advantage of SWIFT i.e. as its based on swift platform. The engine is same as the old swift.

It has power it has milage it has comfort it has safety and many more....... its good looking and we get the features of the high price cars in such a affordable price. This will give a tough fight to the boxy LOGAN and the TATA's INDIGO.
Specifications:- 1.3liter engine with 1298cc giving Maximum power (Bhp@rpm) 87@6000 Maximum torque (Nm@rpm) 113@4500 in petrol model.4 cylinders 16 valves Price:To know the price in ur city check out the link http://www.marutidzire.com./MD_Price.aspx?nav=pri For more details you can also visit www.marutidzire.comIts really value for money go for it. Good fuel economy, beautiful interiors and many more..........i think Nothing cons in this car..........

I bought my Dzire Vxi end of July-2008 , and recently made a long trip pune-blore-madurai-blore-pune(appx 2900km) with my family and absolutely no problem observed thru out the journey. Also observed good co-operation from Pune & Madurai dealers who did free check-up and car washing to appreciate the long drive. We felt this car is really the Heart Car and value for money.  Also observed average between 16.5 ~ 17 kmpl with A/c on and off condition at a speed between 80 to 110kmph.

Being Maruti Brand, no need to worry about the maintenance.

      regards,
      Guna

Good Look, Solid in high speed, Good boot space, Good Maruti dealersAlmost nil

I was under considerable confusion as to which car should I buy as an A3 segment vehicle ! The choices between the Verna , Fiesta, Indigo and the others. I finally settled for the Dzire VDI as it came in with fantastic features and from the Maruti stable with a good back up support. I do a lot of highway driving between Dugapur and Kolkata and it is a real thrilling experience to do this with the Dzire. If you want to settle for a good package , less then seven lakh and also want the best A3 segment you should shut your eyes and go for Dzire VDI . The ZDI is slightly more expensive and if one spends between Rs 25-30,000/- on Accessories then one can upgrade VDi to any to end sedan in A3 segment.great looks, good fuel econonomy, high sitting, good space, big boot space, good stereonarrow tyres, should remove the name swift from dzire

I went to buy the car it was having 8 months waiting .I dont understand why the company launches the car if they are unable to produce it as per requirement .I felt very dissapointed when the dealer told me that u have to wait for 8 months bcause the car is not available. It's very Disgusting that a company like maruti can do so with the customers. If they cannot fulfill the user requirements then why do they launch new cars.

Maruti have to think on this in order to improve there reputation.

Good Stylish Looks,Big car at small priceA very big dissapointment is th waiting time ,Less Features ,no power window in lxi,

      Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all ur reviews on Dzire. After reading several review I decided to book dzire between Logan, Indigo and Dzire. I was already driving santro and was looking for a change. I booked my car(dzire VXI) at Lucknow on 15th June and dealer told me to wait till end of july. Intially i planned to book dzire LXI but when I look at features available with VXI with a marginal difference of Rs 50,000.00 I finally planned for VXI. (If u r planning to buy dzire LXI just give another thought as u would not get so many feature(as in VXI) by investing Rs 50000.00.)

Any way I keep on calling my dealer week after week for enquiring about the status and to my surprise I got a call on 14th July that my car has arrived at the showroom and I can take delivery any Time. I thanked the dealer and got my car on 18th July. First impression was awesome and driving exerince was fantastic. Although I have just driven 100kms but I love the comfort even on very bumpy roads.

In built Audio quality could not be compared with sony or Pioneer but it's ok.

AC is powerfull and you can get perfect cooling within minutes.

I feel that its true value for money and I have taken right decision in buying this car.

Will revert back with more comments very soon.

      Thaks

The car is good and quiet econominal .But the main problem that is faced by us as costumers is that we have to wait for the for a long time. Since Maruti is aware of the demand why doesnt it increases its production for the car. These strikes isn Maruti recently has increased the days of waiting. Earlier we had to wait for car for 72 days now we have to wait for more than 150 days which is approximate to 5 MONTHS. This strike has decreased the produtio of the car and has increased the waiting perion. I just want to ask everyone when will this strike get over and will this strike lead to decrease in the production.thus i request the as to increase its production as earlier as possible. The company has to do something in oder to satisfy the consumer's needs. If the company does not increase its production it will decrease its constumers. Though maruti is a prestigious comapny and the best company in the motoring.

The car is combination of performance and fuel economyIt is less spacious and the waiting period of the car is to long .

Best  car  in  all  respect ,   facilities satisfied  in  minimum  amount, SEDAN  VEHICLE  with  all  facilities.

Better  buy  a  petrol  car  ,  considering  all  the  side  effects of  diesel car ..  except  for  average  on  road , Diesel car is  a  worst  car  , Lot  of  noise  even  if  you  drive  a  comfort car.  lot  of  vibrations  even  you want  a  luxury  car..  lot  of  repair  work  in  a  diesel  car  as  compared  to  petrol  ,  My  mechanic  says  I  have  lot  of  Indica  diesel  car  for  repairs than  petrol  ..

My  suggetion  will  be  go  for  Maruti  or  Hyundai  car  for  less  problems ....

good spacious car, very soft to drive, good pick up with A/C oneven on 3rd, good audio system, bad interior,

Looks : A lot has already been said about it’s ugly looks. I stand by it. If swift looked ugly, the Dzie takes the game further up ahead. It’s hideous. The front is typical swift, with the change in the grill design. I liked the rear though. IMO, the saving grace is the rear. The lesser said about the side view, the better. For a guy like me, where function rules over form, it doesn’t matter. VFM matters to me, looks come secondary.

Interior : The dash looks pretty bland. Cost cutting is evident though not in-your-face. Inconsistent panel gaps though present is missed by the casual eye, though a keen observer can make out in an instant. Glove box is pretty small and can hold only minimal things. The storage below the AC controls is adequate. No storage space at the driver’s end, no provision to hold sun glasses/ spectacles. The sun visor has two degrees of freedom, they can open downwards and side wards- a very useful provision. The driver side visor has provision to hold tickets. Handle bars for support at top are spring loaded, they retract as you let go. The front lights are push-to- activate, different from switch types- a welcome change from the convectional style. Rear lights are convectional though. Cigarette lighter is very useful. The front doors do have provision to hold items though a coin holder is sorely missed. I keep the coins in the ash tray or the cup holders, more convenient to reach. Rear doors have only bottle holders. Front seats are comfortable and provide good support for the body. The rear can seat three lean adults comfortably. With hefty people, only two adults and a 6-7 year old is best fit. The absence of rear bottle holder (behind the hand brake is a boon, present only in ZDI.), Leg room is decent, though nothing to write home about. With the driver seat pushed back completely, its tad difficult for me to sit ( I am 5’9 ft). Centre arm rest has no cup holders. Rear visibility at best is poor. Stereo system is decent ( I am no audio buff), no plans to upgrade. Outside rear view mirror’s view is good, it is difficult to judge/gauge using left ORVM though. Noise insulation is good though not excellent. With all the windows rolled up, you still can hear the Fiat MJD grunt. Horn is heard very loudly inside. Is there any way I can reduce this?
      ------X------

Ride Comfort : Since I have not driven any car ( this being my first), I won’t be able compare the ride quality with its competitors. All the view I present are in regard to this car only.

Most of the driving is done by my uncle and I am handed over the wheels only at isolated/ minimal traffic areas. Of the 400 odd km run ( as on 07/02/2010) I have driven around 60 kms. I have enjoyed every bit of it. Power steering is a boon, maneuvering is effortless. Gear box is butter smooth, engaging reverse gear is tad difficult, firm push is required. Body roll is evident, though not very much. Overtaking is a breeze, thanks to the turbo. Within seconds, the vehicle parallel to you is now getting tiny in your RVM. The first time I was handed the steering, everyone were screaming, mom and aunt asking me to reduce speed, uncle pointing to the tachometer and me after experiencing the turbo surge. I make it a point to drive at 2000 rpm to get the turbo kick. There is remarkable difference in the ride quality in front and rear seats. The front is really comfy whereas the rear gets bumpier. A higher tire pressure makes it horrible at the rear.

      Cheers :

No prizes for guessing, the turbo of course.
      Acclaimed fuel efficient Fiat MJD.
      Torque.
Boot- its humongous, it can eat lots of luggage. Enough for a three week trip.
      Neatly placed controls. Easily accessible.
Easy to read console. Also the pale white light for the console is pleasing to view at night, doesn’t irritate your eyes.
Fantastic ergonomics at the driver’s seat. My uncle drove for 3 hours straight and said it’s super comfortable.
      Maruti’s famed A.S.S.
      Diesel Economy.

      Sneers :

Overall fit and finish is average.
      Lousy stock tires.
      Average music system.
      Plain and boring dash.
      Limited rear visibility.
Poor man’s sedan image. (For god’s sake, I have paid INR 7 lakh, provide me a decent looking car)
Waiting period of 3 months is a turn off.
The interiors leave a lot to be desired.

VFM, Fiat MJD, Diesel Economy, Maruti A.S.SLooks, long waiting period

Swift Dzire is an apt replacement for Esteem, will surely carry forward the legacy of Esteem as one of the best Entry level Sedan.

With Proven engine of Swift, driving is a real pleasure. Braking is smooth, handling is very good. Electronic power steering makes ride very smooth

There are talks about Dzire having cramped rear space, well I didnt feel it in my case, As my family consists of only average sized people (no bodybuilders or wrestlers), thus three people sit very comfortably in the rear seat.

Looks though are subjective, i had heard only good things till now from known people about the looks of my car.

The car (version vxi) is a total value for money, I however feel
Maruti could have provided with defogger and tilt steering.

Overall, with options available at entry sedan level , Dzire is way way ahead of its competetors.

Value for Money, Pleasure to drive, Plush interiorsLong waiting period, booking the car is a harrasment.
