Exterior of the maruti swift zxi is super awesome. the designers has created a very awesome work by creating such a mind blowing exterior which suits with any colours,

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort), while compared to any other cars with the same rate is awesome. the black coloured interior is giving a much premier feelings as if we are in a luxury cars. but i would also suggest to provide a rear seat a/c wind.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox. the engine works very good in straight roads. but before buying it, you should also test drive in some slopes. U will find that the engine is not at all pulling the vehicle up. all the time it gets off. this is the experience that every swift petrol users has (not in the case of diesel modals). even the handbrakes is not helping the vehicle to pull up. on the very spot u leave your leg from the cletche and put it to the acceleration pedal, the verhicle gets off.

so i recommed pls dont buy petrol modal of maruti swift. i repeat, only the petrol modal.

i have no complaints about the mielage which the vehicle is providing.

 PULLING IN HIGH SLOPES , PLEASE DO SOMETHING SO THAT ENGINE CAN PULL THE CAR UP..

Its really surprising to see that Maruti has not provided an alloy wheel and a good spare for the stepney tyre. Recently I had a puncture and was surprised to see that the stepney tyre was smaller in size and was not alloy wheel like the rest. When I rang up the showroom, they mentioned all that old crap about the company not providing one etc etc because it would jack up the cost of the car. I had to stop them from babbling all memorized excuses and bullshit citing that a person who is going for the highest model willing to pay for all safety features at the highest price cares a damn about the cost of an extra alloy wheel.

I just wonder what logic has been put in by the company in "when a puncture eventually takes place, does this extra tyre guarantee a good safety feature for the car's highest model even for the small trip to the maintenance workshop".

If given an option I would never recommend a Maruti Swift to any of my friends. Only outer style of the car is improving these days. The company does not want to establish itself as a good brand and value for money along its competitors in quality.

Exterior Awesome looks. Fell in love the moment i saw it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Far better than the previous gen. Just did not like the power window switches, otherwise very good job done by SUZUKI.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox More than I expected. The engine is more smoother than I expected it to be. I've driven the Santro, I10, I20 and the beat and for sure this is the best ever engine out of the lot. The pick is smooth and way better than the lot. The second gear which I felt clumsy in other cars is a delight in here. I've only driven 50 kms by the way.

Ride Quality & Handling The new suspension let one glide over the roads. Good job.

Final Words Awesome. All the god job done now depends on the quality of after sales service. Hope i'm not dissapointed here.

Areas of improvement The power windows and the power window panel better be matched with the dashboard quality.

Looks,Space,Features,EconomyI could fine none.

Exteriors nice-though not as stylish as the DZire. turn indicators looks nice, though I dont like the black color on the front pillars-body colors looks better. 

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) -  Dash board looks nice and uber. Steering mounted controls,aux-in, usb and instrument panels are great. auto climate control dos away with the big knobs of most manual AC, music system with remote is good. Most features are the best in this segment of cars. The only drawback is that it is not as spacious as a Vista or a Jazz but for two people it is adequate. I felt that there are some amount of jerks experienced in start stop traffic and uneven roads (both common in most indian cities). Also, the seats at the back are fixed and do not collapse to make more room for luggage. The seats could have been a bit more inclined I feel. Overall, great features, manageable space, but low on comfort.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - Gear Shifts are smooth, engine noise is quite low, fuel economy is almost the best in the segment.

 

Ride Quality & Handling - lacking ride quality - this area can be improved significantly. Handling is good and smooth.

 

Final Words - If you are the usually using the car for 2 people it is the best deal for you. However, if you are a small family, you must try a ride at the back seat before making your final call.

Exterior I like the exterior most , it has better exterior looks than i20 , punto ,polo with 6 most amazing colors.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is better than the old Swift still not as good as I20.Could have been better with some more features as it is in i20 like gear indicator,rain sensing wiper blades, reverse senser and camera.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This has got the best petrol engine in the segment hatchback.The Fuel economy is best, I am getting around 15KM/L in city driving.In highway the figure goes till 19KM/L.Gear box is very smooth better than even Honda's Brio and Amaze gear box.

Ride Quality & Handling This is purely a driver's car, has best handling and riding quality in allmost all Indian road condition. I like the drive even in congested city traffic without any issues. In highway I have gone till 120KM/Hr and the car feels very stable without any body rolling. 

Final Words This is the best premium hatchback in the segment in petrol especially.In diesel it comes 2nd after FIGO.

Areas of improvement Maruti might have given some added features as I mentioned above.Still this is way ahead than I20 in driving and handling pleasure which it provides to the people.

Exterior Looks mean yet slick. Doesn't look like a standard 'aam admi ki savari' which is what I like best about it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Considering it's a Maruti, the interiors are surprisingly chic...I bought the Zxi & the dials are great, the backlighting looks very snazzy, the steering controls give it that special feel too. The controls are easy to operate. The seating for the driver & the front passanger is absolutely comfortable, however, it eats into the rear seat space & comfort a bit. The chrome type finishing on the doors is a good touch. Compared to a lot of other cars in it's segment, the cabin certainly feels a lot more silent.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Maruti just doesn't know how make a good gear box that can handle the power on their cars smoothly in between shifts. It's a big disappointment. As always, there is abosolutely zero pick-up & complete loss of power in the 2nd & 4th gears. The care needs a lot of revs to get it going. Gives it kind of a sporty feel, but when you are in traffic & just want to go somewhere without really showing off, it's a very disappointing thing to drive. The power only comes at the end & then it tends to get out of hands at times. The end power is good, but the way the engine feeds power to the car is completely un-impressive. Despite all this & a lot of reving, the fuel economy is still pretty good, but it could've been much better if the car could just know how to move.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good. The suspension does a very good job of giving you a smooth ride even on challenging road conditions. Handling is ok but it gives up when the car picks up speed eventually. To consider, this is only a 1.2 L engine & the car isn't that light that it can't handle the power, but that's how it is at high speeds. It doesn't glide that smoothly. Altough it doesn't wobble, it tends to get out of your hands if you aren't used to it.

Final Words Despite it's cons, I still love this car. With it's pricing, it's got the features, the looks & even with a very poor pick-up, it still has it's power to show off & put a lot of sedans to shame. It's sporty so not the perfect family car at all, but if you like to rev it up & do frequent long distance travels, this is a good buy.

 Features are very good on offer. ..interior looks modern,funky...and gives a very high end feel...space is not so good but its okk for 5 ppl on board. ...music system of the zxi varient is the best system you can get in this segment it even sounds much better than the sound quality of even higher segment cars......

 Great car...bst for its segment....just loving the each and every moment spent with the car its just so much fun to drive(petrol).....I am a very happy and proud owner of the swift.....

 

Areas of improvemet

Maruti suzuki should offer six airbags on top end zxi model and 2 airbags should be standard on base and mid variants....they should offer sun roof as an optional package for the zxi varient....

Though some people dont like the exterior , i had no problem with its external looks .... but sometimes i used to think it as Yester years Ambassador Car .....

pathetic pick up with AC  , mine is a petrol car which gives overall 13 km/liter (city drive) .... the gear box in Swift is not very smooth .... 

Ride Quality & Handling

The car is smooth ( as it is a petrol car ) It runs without much noise ...but in first two months , I realised that it did not give me proper pick up,  ... It always gave/gives a lifeless feel while driving ... Most of the time it don't pull properly ... That too with the AC on the situation becomes hell   ... Most of the times , literally i have to lower the gear to get enough speed ,,, otherwise need to press the accelerator stage by stage  to gain the speed ... Few professional car drivers drove my car for sufficient distances and confirmed the same ..... i have completed two services in authorised maruti service centers .... but both the time the service center people could not fix the pick up issue .....  one more issue ...the car dont give better front , rear  and side visibility while driving ......

Final Words

 i am trying my level best to do something best to corrcet the pick-up ..... lets see whether it improves or not .... i am not enjoying my drive with this vehicle .....

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Interiors are improved a lot. The dash is completly new, i love the infotainment system, its gud, THe seats are a lot comfy & the stearing positions are really impressive.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine responds very well, but sometimes i find the gearbox a bit sticky, fuel milage is a kind of OK varies from 15 to 16 KMPH(speedometer shows 18, don't know why this difference).

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride is smooth, braking is efficient all thanks to ABS.

Final Words

 Need to come up with some delight features. such as voice warnings for seat belts instead of lights, follow me head lamps, bluetooth for music & calls, airbags n the side doors, 

Areas of improvement  

 Need to improve on the Side mirrors, they are electronically controled but need to open and close manually.

Also, the hatch gets unlocked from with-in the vehicle but still need to press the button from bellow the hatch to open it up.
