Exterior The look is very good, when compared to Old Swift, which was like a Frog sitting ;), The Red color is quite awesome, when compared to the old Red.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The height in the rear seat is poor, even for a small bump, my head touches the roof. I am 5'11". The leg room is not sufficient for rear seaters. The bootspace is also very less.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox In highway, my mileage touched 20 kmpl. The car is brand new and hence I think will improve while doing car service. Noice is reduced, but not reduced much.
Final Words No ABS in VDi. This is absolutely unacceptable. Check with Skoda Fabia, which gives ABS and (minumum one) air bag even in the cost of 7L.
Maruti wants to improve the ZDi sale and hence ABS is provided only in ZDi. That means it does not worry about the safety of their customers, rather wants to make money.
Think who will buy ZDi, which costs close to 8L. In this case, I would go for Ford Fiesta middle variant which is 8.5L. Or even I can get Swift Dezire in that cost. So I get ABS, Airbags and Sedan type car.
Poor thinking by Maruti.
Maruti, due to the overwhelming response for Swift/Dezire, they does not care about the customers. This is not at all a good attitude.
Areas of improvement ABS in VDi. Strong outer body.

Exterior The all new swift is a real head turner, with its vibrant new colors and agressive styllng. The features that i like the most is the front part which semi skirted one, integerated with fog lamps.
My personal openion is that the rear part is not as good as the old swift. But after market moddes such as a sporty spoiler and muflers will enhance the look
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I would say the comfort offered by swift is just amazng for that price tag. It exceeds expecation and found it WAY better that VW,ford rivals in the segment (Personal openion) which i had got for test drive. The tiltable power steering is real classy. It makes driving much easier.
CONS :The A/C cooling is good and not excellent, suzuki cud have increased the cooling efficiency.
The driver seat height is too low and the height adjuster is available only for top end model. I'm 6' tall and still have problems manuvering it, especially while parking AND HEAVY TRAFFIC.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Just mind blowing! 1st and the 4th gear are ma favourites. I feel that there is a lack of power in 2nd and 3rd gears, when i enquired about it at marui svc they said the new vvt engine was designed to be so. But overall, the pick up and high speed is what makes swift swifter ;) It takes me to 0-100 in no time
Gear box is really smooth and gives u a premium feel. 2nd gear and 3 gear is not shelling out the power i expected(still dont knw wether its a problem with ma unit) and is not good for uphill climbs(we have lots of such roads in kerala). 1,4th and top is a drivers paradise and gives u a feel that u r riding a premium car.
Mileage Good. I am getting an average of 16-17 kmpl in city conditions(Semi-urban) with AC on all the time. The multi information display which gives instantenous mileage helps us to maintain economy driving conditions.
Ride Quality & Handling Say gudbye to corners if u are driving a swift ;).. The rally based suspension along with unique design makes it the most easy to handle cars in india.. and the swift i got live upto its name and expectations and i am extremly happy with it TILL DATE.
Final Words Looks, handling, Autmatic OVRM with indicatars, Multi info displays and intelligent security systems, Cabin noise reduction and engine refinement are the best features i like. The turning radius and electronic power steering is real classy. The interiors is superb, the chrome plating and 2-din music system makes it more luxurious
Areas of improvement A/C cooling is the one that disturbs me the most. I have seen an another review of a user who got his car screwed up after repairing the A/C in an authorised SVC and a bit tensed about that. A/C cooling is not efficient as it has been in an alto and eeco which i had in ma garage earlier.
Other drawbacks are : Rear boot space is less, Absence of integerated Music player(lxi/vxi). Reduced booking/waiting period.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the same with good performance and fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is fair enough. I found the steering too smooth. Handling is good.
Final Words The hype Maruti did and what they are offering compared to the price hike is a failure as per me. Making a vehicle light weight is definately going to give you extra mileage. They have just tried to copy what Ford is offering in Figo. But are not up to the mark.
Areas of improvement The bulky shape of Swift. Should be more slim to manuovere in the city traffic. The boot space is a big? I had also spoke to Maruti Customer care regarding the boot space and the rear seat leg room, last year. They have come up with the leg room with a crumpled boot. At the given price they should be offering Rear Wiper or atleast Rear Defoger, Music system.
They have made a liitle leg room for the rear seats. Fuel economy due to light vehicle.Boot space is too less. No Music system provided. Pricing too high compared to competition (eg.Ford)Exterior/Styles

Exterior Front and rear lights look classy and trendy at the same time, and the rear view is much more appealing than before.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors have been the biggest problem for the earlier generation swift but for the new one is better nd feels so up market and features like push button start, bluetooth for audio system,nd lots of small storage area adds more to its interior appeal, and the larger wheel base somewhere helps to sit comfortably at the back seat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Maruti has somewhere compromised with the performance to increase the fuel economy, the punch from the older genration swift lack here but still a SWIFT will be a SWIFT only.
Ride Quality & Handling Verygood grip like early days, because of the longer wheelbase the road grip has been enhanced and the steering feels very supportive.
Final Words A dream car for all age and worth to own one!
Areas of improvement Pickup for both engines should be taken care for which swift is known!

VDI version costs u 7.15 lakhs on road without music systems, where for the same price u could go for a entry level sedan or a higher varient cars in its segment like, VW polo, Fiat punto. with more features and less to add further as they give audio system also. simply a price hike around 40k isnt worth. Just if u are a fan of MS SWIFT go for it. or else there are plenty of good cars with better features for that price.
Final Words
go for it if you are really desperate for it and can shell out more money.
Areas of improvement
interiors and pls reduce the price. Just changing the design and raising the price by such a huge margin is really not appreciable
only the looks and popularityHighly expensive car in its segment and for the features.

Exterior Exterior Not as good as existing model . Swift was basically famous for its back side shape. As back side has been fully changed therfore its sales may be.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash looks good. A new cupholder on passenger side front, good looking ACvents, button for boot opener on driver side. Looks more.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine remains the same with slightly tuned for better performance, And fuel efficiency.
Ride Quality & Handling Same as old model. The difference is the new suspension set up which facilitates the sporty nature.
Final Words The increase in dimension have added more leg n knee room compared to old model.but yet its no match for figo in leg space, luggage space ride and handling.figo feels more planted with less bodyroll. moreover figo feels more solid built both in its body frame where hard metal is used.only negative is, figo's interior doesnt look more premium compared to swift. but figo is more value for money and more practical. since most people dont use cars as race cars figo's performance is reasonable. maruti's experiment with a polymer petrol tank also doesnt seems to be a good move for swift buyers as it can cause safety issues in an accident situations. again, shedding nearly 30kg from a car means use of light metal and more plastic which again reduces the solidity of vehicle.less weight means the car will have tendency to be out of control at high speeds.and price too has increased nearly 30 -40,000 compared to old model. dont think its a sensible buy when you get more spacious car like figo for reasonable price. distance to empty feature which gives an idea of exact km the car can actually run on available fuel, which is the highlight of figo is not provided in swift.figo in zxi trim has got more features than swift vxi/vdi models with less price. and ford is now planning to improve its interoir is a good news for figo's market. So I think figo is more value for money than swiftVery soft metal body. Could get damaged by a small hit...
Areas of improvement Boot space is lacking,Bluetooth connectivity is nowhere,no 17-inch alloys on the car!

Exterior Exterior is good, not much maintanance
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is also good - black one. Really enjoying it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here comes the advantage, engine is very powerfull on any roads with maximum weight.
Ride Quality & Handling Very soft experiance. Good to take over, easy to park
Final Words Its awsome car, i have been using this car since last 6 months with zero complent. The performace is very good. I drive other cars too (Friends) but SWIFT is swift - no comparison. Handling is very powerful. Gear shifting is smooth. pick-up is great. Looks are solid. I Purly used it as city car but sometimes even I drive it for 700-800 km a day. Long journey is not that comfertable - its paining but you enjoy driving. In city, in traffic, on signals - you wil feel the power. Guys, I preper this car!
Areas of improvement More space needed - but good to go with single family.

Exterior When the Swift came to India in 2004 it was a sensation. The curvy yet sharp features of the exterior combined with the lighting technology used in the tail lamps gave it a upper hand in the mid segment car market.
However, the Swift that is in production now has lost its edge over the other mid segment cars (Like the VW Polo, Honda Brio, Hyundai i20). Nevertheless the Swift’s exterior still manages to turn heads with its sweptback headlamps and broad stance. The indicators on the ORVMs too add a zing and account for safety while shifting lanes or taking turns. One odd thing was the height of the tailgate; it would make loading and unloading luggage a little bit of a task. Apart from that, gotta love the looks!
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The swift interiors are very impressive. The dashboard quality is amazing, something you would notice in a high end Honda. My favorite feature is the little cup holder for the passenger seats, which is nicely tucked into the dash, when you press it the cup holder slides out with perfect ease. I initially found the driver’s seat unusually high but after 50 kilometers, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The back seats provide great thigh support something other cars in this segment struggle to offer. Lots of little cubbyholes everywhere to store things, little depression right above the glove box (along the width) is good for keeping cellphones or wallets. There is a nice small storage space next to the steering on the right, perfect for those big screen phones. The boot space is good too.
Another favorite is the instrumental cluster! It shows instant fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and range. The instant fuel consumption helps me to drive in an economical manner! However, the trip meter and fuel information buttons are very hard to operate even though they are located in the cluster. Height adjustable feature for the headlights come handy when you are climbs steep inclines or when your boot is heavy, the lights respond quickly to the change.
Engine Performance & Fuel Economy Ah! I am so glad my family purchased the petrol swift and not the diesel. Though the diesel clocks more kilometers per liter, it didn’t make sense for us, as we need it only for city use. The petrol engine is so much smoother than the diesel one, and almost with zero noise. When I drove it out of the showroom I wasn’t sure if it was running or no! Fuel economy so far has been decent, 13kmpl in the city with A/C according to the very helpful fuel meter, but I have managed to keep the instant consumption over 25kmpl as much as possible.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is great, with very little cabin noise. Though at speeds above 70kmph you might hear a noise from the tires. The breaking feels pretty good, though I have read many reviews that claim it needs improvement. The steering is a boom in the city and my guess is that the Swift has one of the smallest turning radii in its segment, when you take a U-turn it so happens that more often not the Swift is hugging the median! However, it’s too light for a highway and might need a little getting used to.
Final Words If you’re buying the swift for a second car or for city use, buy the petrol! Pollutes less, feels less like a tractor!
Areas of improvement The knobs of the trip and fuel meters could be placed on the right of the steering instead of on the instrument cluster.
