Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is very spacious, we can find the features from A- Z, It missed only sunroof. very great comfort, a family of 5 can comfotabily travel even 500 km at a time.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox We get 87hp K series SUZUKI engine with great power and pickup. It is hard to notice the engine sound and u can't believe that ur car has started. My car can reach 138kmph unbeleiveabily in 3rd gear and with the top speed of 175kmph. In high ways it is 20kmpl and in local it is 16.9kmpl, very fuel economy. Gearbox is not that butter smooth but very good.
Ride Quality & Handling swift is the king in this segment. It is the brand new car that we got it on 23/12/2011. We can handle the car very easily and the ride quality, I felt as I am driving Aston martin and Audi.
Final Words Every thing I dreamt and the expectations from my car before I got it to my home was fulfilled now and I need to explore more from it.
Areas of improvement New Swift has already much improved compared with the older one. I think it should have come with 'distance to fuel empty' feature.

Exterior Same wine in new bottle. On first look it is very much similar as old swift.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior not much change - new steering, no cd player, glass tray (india may be not required). Less boot space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good fuel economy and good gear box, CRDI engine is rocking.
Ride Quality & Handling Its good to drive same as old swift.
Final Words Maruti is Value for money.
I have already book Swift Dzire on the Rakshabandhan day - Because giving Rs. 6.50 k it is better to give 7.10 in dzire version (Its my personal thought). We expect lot from Maruti in this cut-throat competition.
Areas of improvement
1. Provide Alloy wheels in VDI and VXI model
2. CD player must be there
3. Very less space in dickey (Storage space).
4. By increasing in diesel price of Rs. 30k no very high mark improvement.

Exterior Exterior is only good part.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors quality is very bad, No CD/MP3 for Swift Vdi models.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox OK OK thats it.
Ride Quality & Handling Not good as I20 diesel.
Final Words Guys please stop dreaming about new swift, its not good as old swift. I booked swift Vdi last year september 2011, till now i did not get the delivery. when I booked price was 6.77L in Bangalore. Today's onroad price is 7.20L. Maruti have raised nearly 45k for nothing.
I have canceled swift booking & booked I20 Magna, waiting period is only 30 days. when compared to swift it has more features like Superb interior quality, built in CD/MP3, with 4 speakers & 2 tweeter. Automatic climatic control, 1.4L 90Bhp. Price diff for swift VDI & I20 Magna is only 30k, Better go I20 Diesel.
Areas of improvement Should improve the interior quality & no good featues, Maruti is only raising the diesel car prices that's it.

Exterior The new swift is more sleek, looks beautiful especially white color, I can compare it with old Ford Fusion.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The car is comfortable but seats are low, Dash board contains everything except temperature. I am not sure if boot space of swift is better than that of alto.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox IT has great pick up, good car for traffic where u need to speed up when every u get space .I have my doubts about gear shift ,maybe I was driving alto for years and i have not adjusted properly but will definately take it to the showroom.
Ride Quality & Handling The car is swift , just zoom's past other cars in traffic or highway.
Final Words Its an excellent car with all practical features attached to it. One can wait for few months and get ur hands on it rather than buying other car and later cripping that u wanted to buy this car but had too long waiting.

This car can only be bought for looks, it does not have anything worth the money.

I also own Honda & Chevrolet cars, trust me this is the worst quality you can get in a car. Rattles everywhere, when you shut the door with windows down it feels as if you broke something. You can remove the door trims and check for yourself, parts inside are so low grade. Overall its a thumbs down! 😱

Being a petrol car, engine is little noisy. AC compressor noise makes it worse! and not to forget early clutch wear.

Handling is good but ride quality is just too bad. Had to replace suspenion thrice! Santro has better shockups than this! I want a comfortable ride which this car fails at.
Final Words
Owned it for 4 yrs, not worth it. Their sevice workshops are also bad, not skilled at their job. Have to stand on their head to get things done. Finally selling it off.
Areas of improvement
I think MSIL's board of directors should sell this company as its going out of their control. They are overloading their workshops which results in bad workmanship and that too with amateur engineers. If they do not stop and think they will lose their market share. With so many other good companies out there, please avoid any Maruti Suzuki product. I am not against them but just giving humble advise.

Exterior Nicely deigned and roof antina is changed. Indicators in Side view mirrors are good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent. USB input for audio system is an added advantage. Cup holder for Co-Driver is nice. The integrated music system from Panasonic for instance now plays through four speakers and two tweeters while the instrument cluster has a trip computer display with fuel efficiency data well. The display for time and outside temperature though also moves from the centre of the dashboard to this display between the speedo and tacho dials.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Nothing is chnaged to Engine and gearbox.
Ride Quality & Handling Good road grip, great pickup. Interior noice is reduced.
Final Words Over all its a good car. Fun driving. Spacious, fuel efficient, comfort, value-for-money.
Areas of improvement Design and Noice. Earlier there was no hign end model in Swift. They introduced high line version of Diesel ZDI in new Swift. Thanks to Maruti.

Ride Quality & Handling Driving seat is not very comfortable.
Areas of improvement Braking system, I met accidents 3 times during my drive of almost 3 years and 33,000 kms. Most of the drive was on highways and my speed reamins in between 65 - 90. I felt that to stop the car suddenly, a minimum of 10 metrs distance is required, which sometimes is not permissible.
Fuel economy varied from 13 - 20 KMPL depending on no. of passegers and speed limit. As soon as car goes beyond 100 KM/Hr. fuel economy drastically gets reduced.
Rear Suspension system is not as good as that of other cars of same segment.
Clutch plates are hard from the begining. When ever I inform service manager during servicing, they told it is normal. As soon as the warranty is over, they are claiming that it is due to clutch pedal pressing during drive. It is purely cheating.
Last but not least, Maruti cars are known for chear maintenance cost & good service quality. Now a days, the servicing cost of Maruti is not as low as people expect and service manager can befool every customer in either way.

dear all,
i am going to wirte this blog on my harsh dejection with maruti suzuki cars (zen estilo vxi) earlier, i was of the view that maruti is no 1 car manufacturing company and its vehicles are a great possession. and also i used to recomend to all who consulted me about the purchase of 4 wheelars. but now with my soar experience, i think i should have wasted my money. the engines they install in their cars are the worest one and quite of no. 2 in camparison to prepared by an ordinary toolsman who works at the corner of the street. at the time of the sell of the cars, the company claims that the engine will run around 2-3 lac km, but after selling they say the engine will need to be overalled after 40000 km. the worset of commitments ever made !!! in future, i will never purchase even an underweare having made by maruti, buying of the cars of the brand is out of question !!!! may the curse fall on fucked MARUTI !!!!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is best in class. I had test driven this car on 28August 2011 in my home town Ambala(haryana). the moment I press my feet it blew me in the air. and so stable on 150. we were 5 sitting in the car. overtaking was very easy but yet one has to make some calculation while doing so. as my 70% drive is on high ways, I was curious for its FE. I drove this car on 80-90 for 8-9 kms for mileage (as I normally drive on same speed) i got 23kmpl with 5 sittinginside in zxi model. (auto AC mode). I was shocked and booked new swift lxi at that moment in Rs 10K.
Ride Quality & Handling It was the best car i have drived, So pleasent drive ans easy for all corners.
Final Words Better FE, performance,best RESALE.
Areas of improvement Do a little bit of chrome work on interior for budgetians.
