I purchased Maruti Swift among many other models of Maruti last year. And I am happy with my decision. 8 month gone and I haven't spend a single rupee on its maintenance. This car has a very reliable engine. It generates a great pick up which i haven't felt yet in any other car of this price range. This car has a cool exterior which gives this car a cool look. while driving its engine dosen't makes noise. Although it depends on individual but if any one wanna buy a car of this range, I would like to suggest him/her then that maruti swift is best option for him/her.

The rating above is comprehensible enough to visualies the overall experience of me with this particular car. However, the outlook of the car is not much stylish but its not too bad to and the other qualities of this car will surely compensate it more than required.

It is good looking and economical campare to other hatchback cars available in this segment.There are as many as 17 noise reduction techniques that Maruti has employed in the Swift to bring the cabin noise to new lows. These include dampers and sandwiched panels in the engine bay area to cut down on engine noise and vibration, air intake noise, suspension frames to dampen road feedback and asphalt sheets to block out outside noise.

Double sealing weather strips have also been used in the window and door panels to reduce wind noise. The Swift has also been given a new front fender lining to block tyre noise and dampen stone hitting noises. The specially developed tyres reduce road rush noise.

With its fairly powerful engine and sprightly driving characteristics, the Swift would be the better choice for everybody.

I am driving this Swift Vxi for more than a 14 months.

Looks:

My overall experience with this car is very much satisfactory. This is the only car in the segment that makes me turn my head whenever it passes by. The looks & style are very best in its class.  

Performance:

The performance is very good. Swift is very stable even at high speed @around 140 kmph. The engine is silent & responsive, Initially i had to look at my tachometer to ensure the engine is on. Very good pick up. Only drawback i fid is the gears: Maruti cars have inherent problems of stiff gears.

Mileage:

Before my first service i was getting an avg of around 10kmpl. That was my biggest concern after buying it. On speaking to dealers they told that your mileage will gradually increase & that too after your first service is done. The engine gets fine tuned after the first servce & it started giving me 13kmpl in city & 15 kmpl on highways with Ac on. Now my third free service is also over & my average has been improved to around 14.5kmpl in cities & around 16 to 17kmpl on highways. So mileage is very much dependent on how you train your engine on your very new purchase.

Interiors:

Interiors are decent but could be more contemporary. I find the quality of plastics used for doors & dashboard to be low in quality. Maruti should focus on quality of interiors too. The dashboard comes with an empty block for clock which I feel should be a part of accessories. The block for music system is also double din. There should be an option for company fitted music system to occupy that double din block.

Overall:

Its a very good car with stylish looks & decent performance. I have also test driven swift diesel which has an amazing engine & the pick up is awesome. It has more compression ratio than Petrol versions. Hope Maruti will keep on ehancing the Petrol variants & should bring Direct Injection in Petrol version too. 😳

My all close friends own swift, even iam planning for myself. I never heard anything bad about the car and this is my own experience, as i have driven it lot both on long and city routes.  

Although the only concern, me owning the car is the waiting periods ( 3 months - everytime iam making it final and at last moment a buzz of new car to be launched in the same section makes me to wait and watch OR my money gets diverted to some urgent need of friend).

BUT iam always dissappointed, now i ahve realized that I AM GOING TO OWN A SWIFT - VDI. CHEERS!!! AS I LOVE THE CAR.

Hitting the road with a swift gives you the feel of driving a plane, the style, comfort and stability of the car. Overall its very good except the features that Maruti Suzuki offers with it [that is none unless you pay a very heavy price for which you can anyway buy a bigger car], which makes it a deprived of what it is actually made for! It's the star, but suzuki needs to add the glamour to it.With comfort and exterior style, it needs to be stylish from inside as well where i10 takes a huge leap ahead of this car. But overall feel of hitting the road with this is good. I've driven it loads but did not buy it, because i at the moment i need more value for money which is the only area where it lacks. style and comfort is good, but sadly that extra bit is not there and i found it too expensive to own right now ... but to drive it is a pleasure

I own Swift Vxi, I confidently say that "THIS IS THE BEST CAR EVER IN INDIAN MARKET". There is no any other car in this segment near by also. I feel very proud that I own swift car, Superb technology, zero noise, powerful A/C, good mileage, good looks, good pick-up when A/C is on. Even this car I would have been purchased for 4.50-5 Lakhs rupees. If anybody is interested in this segment car, please blindly go for swift (Don't think at all about any other cars) Otherwise you will miss the opportunity to drive swift.

Once you get inside you will get to know the luxuries on board. Swift has integrated stereo to make your drive relaxing. The classy dashboard integrated audio system comes with remote control and powerful speakers. This sedan also features steering mounted audio controls making your favourite music within easy reach.

The steering has got one more speciality – Tilt steering. You can adjust the steering wheel suiting your posture to make you ride comfortably. DZire comes with an excitingly cool feature of automatic climate control. Set a desired temperature and the car will automatically adjust to keep the temperature inside the cabin constant even with tough weather outside. The digital display mounted tells you the ambient temperature outside.

Would recommend for a test drive of Maruti Suzuki Swift :)

A car with wonderful pickup,gives wonderful comfort for driving.The Engine is quite Decent
The Power is Quite great and you will never know the diference between petrol and this one.( Good pick upp too)
The Gearshift is also good.
The milage i get is around14-16 in city wid 95% AC on and 18-20 in highway with 40%AC on. i Put Indian Oils Normal Diesel.
Had the First free service last month and it costed me just rs580.
I feel maruti should improve the intrior with Biege color.
No keyless entry is avaible so i had to fit it from the accesory.
As the rear bootglass is small i had to put rear parking sensor for helping me reverse the car and park(it really helps).
I think its worth the Wait and if anyone is looking for it my serious suggestion is goo for it. It Really ROCKS!!!
