I am a proud owner of Maruti Swift VDI... Car Reg No is MH-02 JP 2361... I had bought it in Feb 08... Till date i have covered/travelled 23000 plus Km which included trip to Goa, Three times to Mahableshwar and Offcoarse to office wvery day..

My car has always given me +20Km/Lit fuel average on Highway and + 17Km/Lit in city..

The car till date has never given me any problem as i get the servicing done when ever it is due..

The other plus point of buying a maruti product is thier large network of service centres...

I would particularly like to mention the support/help i got during my visit to Sai Service during my trip to Goa... The technicians etc were very cooperative and help ful..

Its been loved in the family as well by one and all..

Would like to thank Maruti Udyog Ltd for making such a fantastic car

I bought the car 6 months back.It is giving good economy in terms of Fuel efficiency.I am 5.10 feet tall and it is more spacious when compare to other small cars.

It is having a high reputation and also demand. The car seems to have a rigid body.It is having full road grip when compared to other cars.Highly suitable for long drives also.

Compared to othercars, it is having good speed pickup also. The body of the vehicle is so rigid and i have tried with an speed of 120 KM/hr and it is so rigid and Non-shakable at that speed also.

And also the color of the vehicle looks excellent.there are so many variant colors so what ever people r interested they can choose their own color.

Compared to othercars, it is having good speed pickup also. The body of the vehicle is so rigid and i have tried with an speed of 120 KM/hr and it is so rigid and Non-shakable at that speed also.

      Good look,good economy,more spacious

The car has been a great driving experience together with good fuel economy and pretty decent looks as well as being spacious on the inside.

Even after clocking 35000 kms over 15 months the engine continues to rev as new and I see atleast 200k w/o problem in it. However, the rattling suspension and squeaking sounds from underneath act as spoilsport and I often wonder if a part of the chassis will fall off someday while driving.

Overall, considering options available in India, the newly launched Ford Ikon Diesel could pause a challenge though it is understood to be expensive on maintenance and spares while Fabia though being a great technology car comes at a big dent to the pocket. Hyundai might pose a challenge sooner or later. Till they do, Swift VDI continues to be a clear #1 in terms of VFM and driving pleasure.

Great looks, low maintenance and good fuel economybeing noisy after a while

      Roking... Cute

car is heaviest in its class but don’t worry it is provided with powerful engine. The engine’s technology used here is similar to the one used in Mahindra Scorpio i.e. CRDi. Thanks to Maruti for making it available in compact car itself. Fiat, Opel and Suzuki co developed the DDiS(Diesel Direct injection System yet another term coined not from R&D but by marketing dept) engine, which will be the country’s first super compact common rail diesel engine. It will also be the lightest diesel engine, and hence higher the power-to-weight ratio. With a total displacement of 1,248cc, the DDiS engine puts out a peak power of 75bhp (5bhp more than the European version) at 4,000 rpm. With a 16-valve cylinder head, this DOHC engine is also aided by a fixed geometry turbocharger, an intercooler and a cooled EGR system (exhaust gas re-circulation) which results in flatter torque curve which makes it most powerful, fuel-efficient and low emission engine in its class. The engine meets the current Bharat Stage III emission norms, but is capable of meeting the Euro IV level emission standards. The transmission is 5 speed synchromesh. Maruti is well known for its mileage here too we can expect the same with its advanced engine. The car is said to offer an impressive mileage of 61.4mpg(21.8kmpl)in UK and NDTV estimates mileage as 22kmpl as against TATA indica turbo which offers an average mileage of 16kmpl

Looks gool and good in small car segment

VERY NICE CAR FOR FAMILY. NICE AND POWERFUL ENGINE.

      EXCELLENT IN LOOK.  GOOD INTERIORS.

Experience so is mixed and never expected from Maruti. The points may please be noted and observed (A) Knocking sound comes at all speed and very quickly (B) Tyres that comes with the car is of very poor quality althought tubeless (JK Tarnado). These tyres are very cheaply available and the difference is around Rs 1300 per tyre. (C) The suspension is very rude and does not go with the pricing (D) Very Surprising the car does not come with the rear shelf and above all (E) The initial pickup is sluguish and not responsive.

NICE LOOK AND ENGINELESS SPACE FOR PASSENGER AT THE BACK

I bought the Maruti Swift VXI six months ago with lots of confusion and uncertainity. Finally, I decided on the Swift because of MUL’s reliability and vast service network. Moreover, Swift is a good hatch back and stunning in its looks.
I had heard people talking about its pickup dropping with A./C on , when on 2nd and 3rd gear. Initially I had the same feeling, but I got used to it after driving it for a couple of times. But yes, the pickup is not so great on 2nd and 3rd gears. You will definitely feel the drag. On the fuel economy front, Swift gives a mileage of around 12 kms/liter. The space inside is good but not as comfortable as its rival, Hyundai Getz.

Handling the car is really easy with the EPS. Brakes are good too. I dont have ABS on my car but still they work well.  I wanted to go for ABS model, but I felt we dont really need ABS in city driving. I hope I will not have to regret about my decision not to go for ABS. On the whole , Swift is good return for money and I would give it 7 out of 10 for engine performance, space, comfort etc and 10 out of 10 for its gorgeous looks, paint quality

A fantastic machine for small car lovers. Ture value for money, it affords good fuel economy, with a city mileage of 15kmpl on the VDI version, going upto 21 kmpl on the highway. This is with the AC on.

Simply superb thrust and acceleration. A 1.3 engine is actually too much for a car of this size and weight. And Fiat's Aatomobile engineers sure know their job, for this car contains a 1.3 fiat engine.

Once on a road trip to Bangalore, this car took me up to 170 kmph between Ambur and Vaniyambadi. At 170, the machine was still accelerating!

This is not just a car for the family, it is also for those who love speed and thrill during their drive. A wonderful experience, easily the best in the small car category

good fuel economy, great acceleration, perfect engine-weight ratioless space

I have liked this car more than my own car for reasons mentioned below:

Style and Look: Lookwise and Stylewise it is the best Car I have seen now and can be somewhat compared to the fame that the little Beetle got in the West. Best Sporty look car till now which other manufacturers have only tried to COPY till now, be it i20, or the Fabia etc.

Comfort: It is the most comfortable car I have sat it. Very Spacious from inside, it can seat atleast 5 people and yet they can be very much Comfortable. Leg room space is more than enough and with enough luggage space in the back, it makes a very good small family car.

Performance: It has much much more power than its competitors be it the Santro, i20, or the Fabia. I have experienced it race past me even if I am driving at 120 Kmph in my Santro making me more then jealous of this marvellous performing beauty. Coupled with a Turbo booster, it can effectively compete with even the C category cars in terms of Speed and Power and I have experienced it going more than 160 Kmph and YES in India on the NH4 which is much more than what I would expect from an Indian Made Car.

Truly it is worth every penny you pay for it!!!.

Good fuel economy, Good style and Very Good Comfort

When i first started thinking about purchasing a car.. first i thought with Maruti 800. I got a review that AC is not efficient. Then thought for Alto, but saw that AC puts lots of load which reduces the pick up. Then thought about Santro and Wagenar Duo. I was more interested on Wagenar Duo cause it is more economical with GAS. But i saw that GAS is damaging the performance of the vahicle. Then decided to go with Santro. Started calculations for loan and fuel charges per month. As i drive 50 KM daily. My monthly expected expenduture is reaching 10K. Then i took the quotation for SWIFT deisel and calculated monthly expenditure. Strangely it is also same. For Swift deisel loan is more but fuel cost is less as it gives more milage and deisel cost is less. So monthly expenditure is same. Then i decided and booked the vehicle in Varun motors Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

Dealer promised me that he will deliver the vehicle with in 3 months, but he made me to wait for 6 months.. Finally i got my vahicle after 6 months. I had only one feeling of the deisel vahicle, noise and vibration............. But when i started driving my vahicle Swift VDI.. i really satisfied. Pick up and comfort is owsome. excellent performance. very good milage.

Now when i look at my car i really feel proud to have it. Too good vehicle. Now i understood why dealers are creating demand for the vahicle by taking premium charge and making customers to wait for long time. I can say that Swift VDI is best in all small cars..

The car is manufactured by the reputed company. It is good in style. The vehicle is sturdy. It is suitable for Indian reods. There are so may sevice centre of Maruti across the country that the driver is at ease even on a long drive. The parts of the vehicle is comparatively cheaf. The vehicle is less prone to technical problems. Fog light is an added advantage.

The car has a proven track record. There has been tie up of Maruti Suzuki with insurance company/s which is quite helpful to the car owner in case of any damage in asmuchas time and money for repair is involved. The performance of the car vis-a-vis its value is excellent. Fuel point of view it is quite efficient. There is no problem in starting the car even  if it is parked for three/ four weeks at one place. The vehicle caters the needs of a small family to the best.

      Good oerformance
