Maruti Swift has been doing really well in the market. i recently participated in this night rally organized by Maruti in delhi and was amazed at how many people showed up for it. this rally had been organized to celebrate the 3 lakh milestone that this car crossed, they also launched a site for swift owners and enthusiasts, www.swift-life.com. i registered there and found it to be very resourcefull. they have some gr8 features like an onetractive discussion forum wherein you can meet other swift owners and resolve queries, an integrated google map that lets you see other swift owners in your locality, trust me this is of great help when you dont know where to go for repairs etc. they also have an expert from Maruti answering technical queries, i mean if i ever have car trouble i knwo where to go, apart from that this sites alot opf fun, people have been posting trravelogues and pictures, there are quiz competitions etc as well. if you own a swift you should register.

I love driving but ever since I bought this car I dont feel like going on drive. I have opted for a driver. The car is too wide bodied. requires more space but because of poor manuverability it constantly weighs on your mind and leaves you drained. In my case there is a onstant gear problem too. Before going for this car please definitely go for a test drive on city road and judge for yourself.fantastic pick up. But not of use on Delhi road wher 3rd gear is the highest you goHeavy car, Heavy stearing, Very hard gear, no driving pleasure

 

 

Exterior Perfect curves and nice impact appreance. Good Tail lamp, Good Head Light, I was hating this car style before one year or so but now i don't know I like it very much.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As far my experience swift has dull interiors I like I10 interiors, Nice legroom for average north-Indian in the rear seat. Plastic used in interior can be a better quality.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine some times in traffic signals i will get doubt that engine is on or off so good. noise less engine thanks to K-series engine engineers the new 1.2 k series Engine is perfectly smooth & fuel efficeint without any compromise on power. This new engine is very much improved from the earlier 1.3 version withoput any loss of power.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Good rides on good roads like NICE road in bangalore need to improve in this area only for this car.

 

Final Words Awosome car. it rocks the road, this car is for one who loves driving feels like driving always.

 

Areas of improvement  Only ride quality and intirior.

 

 

Great Mileage, Good Power Steering, and good BreakingDull interior (OK not so attractive)

I use to drive swift vxi ABS. Make of model is feb 2011. It has some problem of overheating. Whater leval of radiator decreasing by increase in kilo meter. It need to topup water in radiator by approximat 30 kilo meter. May be the issue of radiator gasket. Can any body tell me what cost it will need for repair.

i have buy this car two year before.it give me wonderful perfomance as well as safety for my family.it is easy to learn the car driving .i have two son who easily learn the car very easy and the a.c of the car is fantastic because it give automatic climate control also it is giving advance breaking system called abs.it i9s suitable ffor me to take it in long drive because the displacement of engine is 1398cc whic is much for a two fold car so it is much power full than zen estelo.so that i requet you to review my worthy experience  about this car and award to this car as car of 2009 according to this features of the car-

I would say that Maruti has done everyone in and must be laughing all the way to the bank. I sold my lovely Esteem for this piece of junk! The interiors are tacky, tyres are thin (screeching at corners) the suspension is very hard, as is the gear box...shifting from 5th to 4th is tedious at high speeds. For 5 lakhs, the VXI could have done much better. I have always been a Maruti person (6 cars in all) but I stop here. Maruti has lost a valuable fan. Shameful day for the company.

The Reason i am writing these

1. The car is lovely to handle at high speeds
2. The klunky gear shift started behaving after two services
3. Great for parking in small spaces - good manouveribility
Cons:
1.The front is too low - I got a bad dent in the front because the car is so low and hit the kerb
2. Too many blind spots 3. Thin sheet metal used

 

Sexy Look if alter the car like change alloy wheel...Back seat foot space is very less

I have been using my Zxi for last 2 years. I have driven it over 27000Km and it never showed any issues, whatsoever. The handling is really great, pick is good and I am getting an average mileage of 12.5 to 13.5 Kmpl. In my view, its the best looking hatch in India at this time.

Cramped rear seat and relatively poor quality plastics, like the window beeding and rear wiper, are the negative points that I feel. But for my 2 member family, this car provides good space.

Other cars like i20 and Vista may provide 2-5 cms extra width, but they are not so good in performance and handling which you will enjoy while driving.

Standard features on the base model include power steering, air-conditioning, brake assist, seat-belts for all seating positions, child lock on rear doors and side impact beams.

good fuel economy&good stle

I have bought swift VXi 2 & half months back.Its cool ,the engine does not make any noise u cannot make whether the engine is on or off.The space inside is too good .In our family all healthy & fat people ,they can sit very comfortably in this car.Though initially you need to get a good grip on the car,but once u become accustomed to driving the Swift its very smooth.It is the biggest car in the small hatchback segment, and its very convenient for city as well as highway driving,especially the sedans are to tedious for parking in the city.
