Exterior Average look. Could have given bolder crome accesory at back. Better design for alloy whhel.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Fantastic inetrior.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good engine. Fuel economy in Mumbai traffic 12 KPL. Not promising but hopeful of improvement to atleast 15KPL.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good. Found Smoother than SX4 Petrol.

Exterior I personally like the exteriors. The problem in India is; people don't understand the difference between an SUV and a Cross-over. The side and front profile of the car is really good looking. Ground clearance is good enough. A pair of fancy tail lights can make it much better. Alloys could also be much better.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Don't have any complaints here. Good looking all black interiors. Space is awesome. Driving stance is high. Ergonomics are good. The touchscreen system gives a luxury feel. Overall, it is much much better & more than EcoSport.
Features like cruise control etc. will hardly be used in our country, but its never bad to have such features. At this price, feature list is huge. You won't be dissappointed. You do get a "big car" feel for sure.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I like the semi-progressive punch after 1800 rpm. Seems like Suzuki has tuned the 90HP DDiS (Fiat Multijet) engine better than Fiat itself. I don't think a calm driver like me or for that matter any driver "in the city" would need faster pick-up than this. It is a fun to drive car, considering the size and the segment.
Ride Quality & Handling A bit early to comment on this, as it has been all city driving yet. But it is much much better than other Aisan cars. Far better than Hyundai cars. More Euro like suspension and handling.
Final Words Lot of people were against me bying this car, but I was sure of what I was going for. I was buying a cross-over, not an SUV. I guess, in India people are just crazy after these pseudo mini SUVs and for that, they are ready to ditch a genuinely good product from even a veteran company like Maruti. Nevertheless, it gives a chance to people like me to look different on the road.
1.3 Zeta in under 11 lacs is a steal, according to me. And with all these discounts going on, if your budget is around 14 lacs and you are looking to upgrade, blindly go for 1.6 Alpha. It is a gem at that price.
Areas of improvement Fancy tail lights and better alloys can give something to "looks hungry" buyers.

It has been pleasure driving S-Cross 1.3 ever since the day I took it to my home from Nexa showroom. In six months I have done more than 12,000 kms but still everytime I drive it brings smile on my face. Made two long trips, one is to Rajasthan and other is Delhi to Srinagar. On both the occassions altough fully loaded ,the car didn't disappointed on any of the parameters. Be it the power & torque you require to drive uphill or the comfort for the family memebers sitting in for more than 10-12 hours. I would have given 10/10 in comfort if there could have been rear ac vent. AC is quite effective but you to have keep it on high to make sure that everyone gets their share of coolness. But then driver and copassengers suffers extra coldness.
Another cons of the CAR is poor JK elanza tyres, one should plan to change them to michelin or some other reputed brand on very first day of ownership. With JK you wouldn't feel good beyond 110-120Km and you wouldn't enjoy premium drive quality and handling.
Othen than above, there is nothing else to complain about the CAR. The best part of the car is it's handling. Some may call the car overgrown hatch back or crossover or SUV but it's superb drivability & maneuverability is just like any small car which gives you confidence of taking it to any kind of streets or cut across the traffic as you would like.
Overall this car is much better any other big hatchbacks or even Sedans of upto 10-11 lakhs. And also far ahead than EcoSport, TUV300. Probably only compition it has is with Dustor, Creta. and above cars.
Good Fuel Economy , Premium ride quality , good interiorsAC vent at the back is missing , poor OEM tyres

Exterior Personally I like the exterior design. But paint quality is not very good. Somehow I feel the car does not glitter as it should.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent black interiors. The car offers a very comfortable seating for the driver and the passengers. In last one year I have driven the car mainly on highways on streches ranging from 900km to 1600km...that too alone. Believe me, its so comfortable driving that you hardly feel any fatigue,at least till 600-700 kn in one strech. AC is good. In city, my son and wife say that the back seats are very comfortable. 60/40 seat split allows the leverage to pull down either of the two or both, and increases luggage space significantly. The Music System is loaded with features which assist in confortable and safe driving. Boot space is enough to load luggage for 5 passengers on a weekend holiday. Only drawback being the inadequate sound insulation. Tyre/road friction sound increases as you gain speed. Engine noise too. Some body parts too rattle, adding to the cabin noise.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its for people who prefer BHP over Torque. Fuel economy reduces significantly as you go beyond 1750 RPM. On highway its normal for the revs to go beyond 1750 RPM. My car gives 19-20km/litre on highway and about 24km/litre under normal city driving. Gear shifting is smooth. Engine noise leaks significantly in the cabin which is annoying, especially on highway.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is a pleasure. Suspension is good. Ground clearance is enough for Indian roads if the driver drives sanely. The car is heavy so it kisses the road while driving on high speed and gives that feeling of a very smooth drive without sways. Braking is not very impressive. Probably, there's something in my car brakes which the service center has not been able to rectify. The brakes of the test car were impressive. I will get a detailed check up done for my car in the next service.
Final Words Excellent Car. For people who prefer BHP over Torque. However, the 1.6L version will offer Torque and BHP both, but for me the 1.6 L cost was huge. 1.3 L ZETA a lovely car, very comfortable, a beast on the highway, very safe (exception my brakes). Owners, take good care of your car and the s-cross has the ability to take you to the length & breadth of India, Kudos to the Maruti team for coming out with such a good car.
Areas of improvement Braking, Cabin Sound Insulation, the hood of the engine is not properly secured, it vibrates and adds to the noise. Some body part rattling is also audible.
Excellent Black Interiors, Very comfortable seats for driver and passengersJust average fuel economy, Insufficient Sound insulation, Body rattlingExterior/Styles

Exterior The Exterior of the car should be more bold and dynamic. But its ok. The built quality of the car is so good and its not like other marithi vehicales.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The seating comfort is verymuch impressive. Touchscreen and AUTo AC are awesome. Power steering is just like anything. its so smooth.
I am amazed with The voice commands and GPS Navigation. Option of opening all 5 doors or only the driver door when the smart key is brought within the range. And there are many features viz multi display speedo console, electrically adjustable and folding ORVM etc etc are a few to mention.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Th Pickup is good. I drove 2000km as of now and In city i am getting 17 and on Highway its 20.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is so smooth and the road grip is also good. When on Bumps the shocks are really responsive and you feel that smoothness.
Final Words S-Cross is a marriage material and not the Girl firend type. Overall it's worth buying a 1.3 l ZETA.
Areas of improvement The deisgn of alloy wheels really need to be improved and they look like wheel caps.
Tocuch screen navigation and Auto AC impressed meExterior and Alloy wheel designExterior/Styles

I have purchased, s cross limited edition 6 months back... Till today the registration was not done. RTO has objections to do this registration as Maruthi has given a Wrong Form 22.
I purchased limited edition but Marithu has given the Form 22 of the high end version. I called maruthi people and following up with them since last 2 months but they are not even dont care of it and they dont know when they can resolve this issue.
RTO is now saying as it is getting delayed they will be "CEAZING" the vehicle. I told the store manager that "I will go to court on this issue" The store manager replied saying "he also has a legal panel and they will fight against me a suite a case against me".
So probably I have to go to court and fight with them. Please dont buy limited edition. I dont know how these people are like this... I will never buy any product from maruthi going forward.

Exterior Bold face, well crafted rear , and posh side view. Though this car is not junky or over styledlike XUV 500 or Creta. It has its own classy look and looks are majorly personal taste. I feel over looks compared to creta. S cross losses by big margin.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is the trump card for S cross.
Seats:- are the best i have seen... very comfortable and confident boosting seats while driving
Instrument cluster: is good but it will not excite one..... on the bad side, the adjuster for multi function display is bit tricky...
Dashboard: Good quality plastics were used and a carbon fiber imitation is used in some parts which the the best...
Passenger seat: Seat is very comfy.. and point to be mentioned... beneath the dashboard, where the passenger put their feet.. in most cars its left open.. but in s cross foam is used to close that open area and when ever one streatch their leg and touch the foam.. one get premium feel...
rear seat: its the best place to be in this car... good leg room and tigh support... 60:40 split.. which are foldable using good locks.. not old fashioned pull ups or ropes to pull...
Boot: decent boot space and full spare wheel with mould to hold the jack kit... another truimp card is in the boot and I liked it the most....boot and boot lip are at the same height, which allow easy loading and removing luggage and also two can sit there comfortable and hang out near a lake or for refreshing...
Parcel tray: its 50: 50 foldable tray.. so accessiblity increases with boot...
Boot board: the board used to seperate spare wheel with boot is very well designed.. one can pull up and that board will hold its place by itself ,, so we can access spare wheel with both hands.. compared to other cars one has to hold the borad and pull the spare simultaniously...
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is good, economy is good, grear box is good.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality:-One get that SUV feel driving this.
The height of the car is not more.. so centre of gravity is low and due to that S cross has planted ride compared to creta
Suspension: Best in the class. I Loved the suspension and the way it ride.
S cross is a great performance vehicle.
Tyres: J.K Tyres. what do we expect from this company. no wonders. Tyres spoil all the mood of car, while breaking even moderately Squeeling sound from tyres can be heard. Maruthi Need to change these tyres.
Brakeing: Good breaking. all four wheels disc breakes.. but tyres spoil every thing..
Final Words On 24-12-15 I took delivery os this vehicle. I am loving this machine.. Due to December offers I paid 9.6 on road Vishakapatnam and I spent 40 K for alloys, reverse cam and sensors, touch screen with Navi, fog lamps and other accessories.. So I paid total of 10 lakh for complete pack.. I got ABS, dual Air Bags, Touch screen with Navi, and all the necessaries... when compared to Creta to get dual Air Bags and ABS one has to pay 14 Lakhs on road.. and I dont find any logic for paying additional 4 lakhs for just looks.... If is want I can use that 4 lakh to purchase a KWID for my wife and compared to Duster... Duster may be a Tall boy who can do bit of off roading.. its no where near S cross when compared to Interior quality and comfort and Even in Duster and Terreno to get ABS and Dual Airbags one has to pay premium ....
So, My Verdict is, S cross is a great machine. out perform many of its rivals when compared to Interior quality, On road performance, Resale, maintenance, service centres and for getting these many positives, a bit of looks may be compromised.
Areas of improvement
1. Tyres,
2. Nexa service and its staff should be trained more to give that premium customer service... There service is very below the standards of regular Maruthi.

Exterior Best in class of range, great looks compare to duster or terrano, nice headlamp which can compare to a class car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable, need to improve driver's seat comfort, great boot space can easily accommodate three 20” bags, easy approachable infotainment system. Music system is best in class.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great fuel economy its 18-20 in first 1000 km drive, less noisy.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth riding, easy handling, comfort during driving compare to other same class vehicle, turning radius is also a good part. As per looks it seems to be difficult in city riding but it is much more comfort than duster and creta.
Final Words Overall great value for money with all necessary requirement based on current scenario.
Areas of improvement 1.3 zeta much have engine capacity of nearly 1350 cc to compete, interior lights can be converted with LED, and head lamp HD projector can be start with 1.3 zeta class instead of top version.

Exterior Exterior is fine, Styling could have been better especially those alloys.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent quality matrials are used. It's spacious, more than enough leg rooms & boot. Love the features - especially the smart-paly system. Good practicality - space for large bottles etc., good internal lights, goggle holders etc.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent power (120ps) and torque (320NM), good acceleration, very effortless to overtake, especially on highways, High-speed stability is excellent, Visibility is great. I get fuel economy around 17-18 in city(without AC) and 21 on highways (With AC, but speed below 100 - and get around 17-18 with speed around 140)
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent handling, even being 4.3 meters long, drives like small hatch. Ride quality is fine.
Final Words If you need poweful & safe car with good fuel economy, then S-Cross DDIS320 is for you!
Areas of improvement Would love to see new attactive alloys & rear-AC vents in next facelift.
