Exterior Unique look.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice leg room for both the passengers and the driver. Can accomodate 3 people comfortably in the rear seat.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I went to maruthi expecting a very good mileage, but I am getting only 11 to 12 KMPL, in city. Keeping that apart, the engine is very smooth(I haven't driven many cars). Initially I had some problems with the gear box, but after my 1st service it got resolved. The engine is very responsive, good pick up.

 

Ride Quality & Handling The engine in very smooth even at speed of 100 + KMPH. I really like the front view from the car. Compared to other cars, it gives a whole 180 degree view, which is very clear. I didn't manage to get this front view even in Swift and Santro.

 

Final Words If you want to choose a car with unique look and nice smooth k-series engine. This is the one.

 

Areas of improvement Interiors should have been much better. The view from rear window has to be improved.

Overall Review: 1. Purchased in august 2011, have completed nearly 18000 kms . 2. I upgraded the tires to Michelins xm1+ 185/75 from the Jk's provided. 3. I enjoy driving her on the highways and in city due to higher seat positions, its somewhat easy to drive, gives a confidence . 4. I have been using Mobil 1 supersyn synthetic oil. So that I can drive her till 250000kms . Mileage : in City she has been giving around 15/17 with/without AC . On highways , gives 22 kms/lit with ac @90 km/hr. I have managed 26 also without ac @70 kms/hr Maintenance Cost: I have been very particular on this , service centre quotes high amount by trying to add irrelevant things. I ask them why this is needed and try to remove it from the checklist . servicing comes around Rs.2500 (this is excluding oil charges as using synthetic will increase the cost by 3k) Ride & Comfort: Initially I felt bad for city roads, but now , it seems that the suspensions have become soft and handles well in city, but for highways some roll comes for speeds above 130 kms/hr but who drives at this speed . Upside: 1. Practical car for a small family. good roomy feeling , feels like a small innova . 2. Good diesel engine , love to drive along with the turbo. 3. Good ground Clearance. I dont think i have ever scraped her underbelly in Bangalore, Tamil nadu nor Kerala. Compared to honda city where I have to stop and climb over a speed breaker. 4. Heavier than Swift and also good boot space 5. Pretty tuff bumper , body panels and bonnet 6.Tail lamps are high mounted , which is good for more visibility duirng rains and highway driving. 7. European designed car , I think it was first known as Opel Agila Downside : 1.Very difficult to judge through small roads for first time drivers. 2. Prone to rattles but i feel that comes along with Maruti 3. Have to upgrade the tires to 185/75 to get the feel of the vehicle on highways. 4. Turbo should have kicked @1800 rpm 5. No rear wiper nor defogger, zxi variant tires and auto folding side mirror option for higer end diesel, zdi version should be introduced 6. Some more insulaion so that engine noise is reduced a bit in cold weather 7. Blind spots are present but can be easily managed after 1000kms of driving using some techniquesengine, roomy interiorsblind spot, rpm meter should have been integrated with main console

Exterior It may not look good to many people but for me its very good looking, funky, and stylish..! The build quality is also very good...!!!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is the most amazing aspect of this car. At the first look I thought that it would be less spacious because of its compact design, but as I got into it I felt lots and lots of space, The massive seats, the airy headroom and large bootspace overwhelmed me.! It looked as if I was in a SUV. The quality of interiors was also fantastic..!!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As I drove it I got a punch of its very peppy and powerful engine....amazing torque for going through the city traffic..! I once drove to 160 km/hr . Such a great stability at that speed was just amazing.

Ride Quality & Handling Perfect. because the driver seat is quite higher, you get a very good view of your surroundings and it feels a great fun to drive..!! :)

Final Words Now I have done approx. 6000 kilometers and I think that If i would have not buyed this car and moved on to any other, I would have done a great mistake.....So don't wait, just go fot it..! I think it is better than swift because of the space factor..!

Areas of improvement If its rear look could be little modified by making it a little curvy from outside it will become very good looking from the rear as well...! Nevertheless it is a fantastic product from Maruti.

Exterior Exterior of the car is stunning. There can be only two kinds of people with Ritz - One who likes the rear style and buy it, one who dislike and go for other cars.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior space is better than old version of swift, easy ingress, and comfortable. Only disadvantage is that the interiors do not give a premium feeling.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. Fuel economy even reached 26 kmpl during some months of drive (with AC on). Constantly gives 20 to 25 kmpl at all times.

Gear box position is stylish and ofen acts as my arm rest during driving. Sound system is superb, Can set the car in motion even at second gear with ease unlike many other cars,

Spare parts cost cheaper than Swift, which in turn is another added advantage to this car.

Ride Quality & Handling Driving is a pleasure in Rtiz, AC is very powerful, I reached top speed of around 160 kmph, and not a small disturbance was noted inside.,  

Twice or thrice, had to apply sudden brakes, resulted in "smooth as normal" experience, Once The car stopped without even a screetch from 110 kmph without any fuss. Thanks to the ABS brakes.

Final Words If you want a top performing hatchback that is true VFM, not dissatisfied with its european design, and in a dilemma to choose bw Swift and Ritz, Ritz is better in all aspects - Yes in all.

Areas of improvement Rear legroom can be improved a bit.

Exterior Tough & Tall Boy look makes it so slinky and musculin. Trust me you will feel like mini SUV.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In my opinion Ritz has biggest and sexiest dashboard in its segment. Specially the external techometer is awesome.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Silent Engine (Petrol) with great pick up. I have touched 120Kmph till now. Its only 15 days back i bought Ritz ZXI and its giving ~16Kmpl in city with full AC. Gearbox is placed on perfect position. It is even better than Swift.

Ride Quality & Handling As Ritz has a high seating, it give a clear view of road and its quite easy to handle while city drive. For highways you will definetly feel a comfort of SUV becouse of its big tyres (my zxi has alloy wheels so its even bigger than normal ones.)

Final Words Just go for a Test Drive (Make sure you drive a new brand vehicle because dealers test vehicle is sometimes in very bad condition). I am sure you'll be in Love with Ritz.

Areas of improvement Its almost perfect. However, some extra cup holders are nice to see and maruti can also utilize the rear (plain) portion of Handbreak unit.

Power, Comfort, Seat Height, Road View, Best Interior, Fuel Economy, ToughnessSome people don't like tilted rear body, but its really aerodynamic

I bought Ritz vdi in feb. 2013. It is silver. I love the car because of riding comfort, small turning radius, space more than old swift & old dzire. No tension in long drive like 500 km in single stretch in which 300 km was hilly area of utrakhand. Mileage around 20 kmpl. Driving comfort is more than swift due to high sitting position and the knee also not touch the under dashboard like swift and dzire while pushing the clutch. Stable during curves also. Service cost is not more than 50 paisa per km. The machine is made for performance and durability. I drive swift and dzire for few 100 kms but Ritz is far better.

I had taken test drive and feel the smoothness which is not available in hyundai cars.fuel economy and engine performance is yet to be validated.On the same price i1o is offering much more features but in the field of space and comfert Ritz is better.I was waiting for this car from long time and still waiting for some more reviews.However it is almost final to buy this car as no car is giving as much in this price.Maruti car,New K12 engine(Aluminium casted same technology as in hyundai Kapa),Good space,tall desigEngine to be tested in long term,Less feature than i1o sportz,poor plastic inside

I was very happy to hear the news that "Splash" was about to be launched in india as"ritz".I own a swift diesel but wanted another car for my wife n children when iam at office.I prefered petrol now.The time i thought of going for an i-10, RITZ was here happy with the news i stepped in to RKS somajiguda,Hyderabad.The moment i looked at the car it looked similar to my swift but the side view and the rear view were somewhat peculiar.Not like what i saw in the internet and read of it before.The real look is completely diff.

The moment i sat inside the car the car gave me a feel of wagon-r,the interiors were dark n with blue duo tone which actually did't sink well with the black.I was sad looking at this coz the i-10gives u a freash feel once u get in to it.The feature sare similar to that of the swift the passenger tray is the addition like in(VISTA).Thats it the ride was good enough i lost interest in it coz seriously the car has diappointed me on all fronts apart from the engine.

Better than this is the i-10,or Vista(too big for us so)it is i-10.

Handling is really easy. The car has got  a responsive steering. Ride is really smooth even at speed of 150Km/H . I have continously driven this car at more than 120Km/h without any hiccups really smooth and sound ride.

Final Words

Go for it its the best in its class. I considered Swift,i10 when i was buying, but gone for ritz bcoz of its new looks and Kseries engine. I got more than 16 Km/l in my last ride on highway AC was on throughout the ride. 

Areas of improvement  

Should have worked on the AC sound it actually produces noise at max level. Had this not  been there then this car would have been noiseless!!!.
