Exterior It is Areodynamic with a good shape gives u a tall boy look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One of the Best in this segment with all comfort you are looking while driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am verry happy with the fuel economy and Gear Shifting.
Ride Quality & Handling It is peppy in driving very smooth u dont get the feeling of driving disel car it easy handling in all types.
Final Words All the people run after SWIFT but it is very common car now so Maruti has give us an option with Same engine and performance so one should go for it as it is best in its class I have Renault with me and a swift but I am happy with RITZ.
Areas of improvement Some more Rubber for tyres isa needed Some Back exterior like you geat a Cap type spoiler in the Market, I have put an Audi type Grill in it front Grill.

Exterior Good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Enough legspace as my previous Hyundai Accent car, for tall fellows like me (6ft).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Pickup and fuel economy yet to check it.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth drive, same as my Hyundai Accent
Only drawback which I found is the seating and vision, the seat height should be little higher above than the present one, so that the clear view of front including the bonnet should be visible. It took 2 times to rethink about passing through our gate, while the front end is not visible in this car.
Any way smooth drive, enough leg space (both front and rear) and good pickup which I like most in this car.
Final Words True value for money, while comparing to Swift & D'zire, the same engine is deployed and at this stage RITZ becomes cheaper than the other two. I love this car. RICHU.
Areas of improvement Seat height to be adjusted so that the front view should be clear.

I had Maruti 800, WagonR with me for long duration, had Toyota camry outside India for one year, my review is based on these cars as baselines :)
I have driven this new RITZ 2012 for 600 kms, 200 on highway, rest in the crowded city,
Exterior The 2012 model is simply best looking from the front, the looks are EUROPEAN, gives somewhat lesser resistance to the air. Getting inside is easier than WagonR
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good internal features, Suzuki Maruti should have had bundled a few simple features in the LDI like central locking and side moldings, which are complex to fit post delivery.
Internal plastics looks improved, the glove box is a great design. The inside space looks huge from the driver's seat, you feel like you are inside a big tank. the dash board is very deep, plus the bonet is also long one, you feel secured from the front side.
Adjusting the mirrors from inside is a cool feature as compared to my earlier cars :)
IMO, the water tank for the windshield is a smaller one though. Also I feel that the driver seat should have been taller by 1 or 2 inches. For speakers there are sockets already available, but these sockets are not for big size speakers, high volumes kill the quality due to the small space behind the speakers.
You may want to add a woofer or an extra big size speaker+amp. The buzz word dual horn means two simple horns in parallel, you may want to add a button operated horn in addition.
There is plenty of space under the hood for extra horns, extra lights. Currently no seat covers are fitted, but with seat covers, I think the rear seating will be a bit crumpy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Switching from petrol to diesel required me to give a period of 2..3 days to adjust with the gear shift for getting a feel for the turbo kicks. After a week, I can now drive on the city roads tail to tail, take narrow turns in 3rd or 4th gear.
In 2nd gear, the car roars and accelerates ahead in fraction of moments, you feel like you are inside a just shot bullet!
Changing the gears is smooth, it took 2..3 gearshifts for me to differentiate the 4th and reverse gear. Now I can for example change over from the 2nd gear to 5th after a bullet like acceleration.
I got average of 19 kmpl before first servicing on highways with A/C ON for speeds ranging from 60 to 120 kmph. 16.6kmpl after the first servicing in city with A/C partially ON, with faster accelerations and more brakings, low gear drivings, might improve if I patiently drive :). Main point to note as compared to WagonR or Maruti 800, A/C switching on..off for 3..4 people inside makes no difference on the accelerations !!! So might be a true upgrade for WagonR owners.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving at 100kmph on highway turns was no problems, no rolling over like WagonR, the suspension is better but probably will need some minor improvements or tuning from Maruti Suzuki. The steering control is very precise at all speeds, no play like in Maruti 800, no feel of over steering like in WagonR.
Final Words Best upgrade for 800cc or 1000cc car users, once you pay premium for the diesel car (on top of a petrol car). You will drive in city and on highways with no worries for the fuel costs. You will fel much more safer. This car seems better than Swift or any other car in this segment in sense that the 360 degrees visibility is more for the driver.
Areas of improvement 1...2 inch taller driver's seat would have given driver a bit of better view Some extra built in accessories or features in the LDI would have made the life easy. May be the kick over of the turbo should have been button controllable, like for the city driving, just 500rpms should have triggered the turbo, while on a smaller highway, I do not want the turbo to be triggered.
Good fuel eco, and also good pickupLDI should have had some more features as defaultsExterior/Styles

Exterior Well, Many people dont like its looks. I dont understand why. I mean just look at it, It looks macho, a really musclly car n on the other hand it looks cute as well, its definately a head turner...... whenever i see any ritz on road, I feel to be aproud owner of this car, believe me guys in terms of looks it scores an a+.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I guess its a perfect family car n believe me guys u wont ever feel shortage of space one can easily cover afew hundred kilometres without any break. Its very comfortable for both driver nrear passengers n m sure small families(like mine)would just love this car, it has decent amount of leg space I guess best in its class, huge amount of head space, a person with 6+ height wont face any problem in this regards, comming to interiors, I wont say ritz is best i this but yes it wont dissapoint u either...nice control panel, Gives a formal feel. Nice quality of plastic has been used on dash, In terms of feactures ritz do not socre much but hey! one can get any desired features n accessories from a car accessory shop, so over all ritz is a wonderfull package regardin interiors, space n comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Well ritz is no less than a bullet when it comes to engine n power. Engine is very refined as its a maruti's k series engine. One who loves to drive wont ever get dissapointed with its engine. Fuel econmy is good. It gives 15+ even with ac on, so issues regarding fuel economy. Gear shift is super smooth. I personally never had any sort problem while gear shifting, n the best part I like about this car is the position of the gaer knob. Its acts as an arm rest for the driver. On the whole its engine is made for those who loves to drive I can bet on this that the power which its engine has got can blow ur mind away.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is just superb...ritz scores a complete 10 when it comes to ride quality..it reallr makes u feel like u are in a premium sedan...car has got nice stability as well grip on road...this car has got the perfect handling i guess..whether u r on highway or in city streets u r not going to face any kind of problems regardig the handling
Final Words Well! Its a drivers car...one who loves to drive will definately love this car. It has got every thing just perfect. I am a happy n satisfied owner of dis car since 3 months. I n guess evry owner of this wll agree with me.
Areas of improvement MS should add a few more features to this.
Looks-just perfect, space-more than enough,interiors-decent,fuel economy-good,handling-perfectNothing as such....but maruti should add a few more features to this varient....Exterior/Styles

Exterior I love the exterior and especially the rear. It is a new style and I simply love it. Boomerang tail lamps are very attractive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space was really good and rear view was perfect. 5 people can sit comfortably. Seats were very comfortable and suitable for tall people especially. Dash mounted gear lever is really cool. Storage above the glove box and below the passenger's seat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very responsive, powerful and super silent engine. In Pune city, I'm getting 13kmpl in traffic with 100% A/C. On highways (Pune to Kolhapur) it gave 16.5kmpl and the average speed was 100kmph.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality was ultimate and I really enjoyed it. Even after driving more than 500kms single handed, I didn't want to stop driving ;).
Final Words Value for money. Do not simply buy a car with its looks and Brand. At some point, you would think only about better mileage, comfort, power and ofcourse less maintenance. I think RITZ is the BEST choice for all who are looking for a car with above mentioned :).
Areas of improvement More colors could grap more people.

Exterior It seems good at rear but the front does not match the tall boy image or dart shaped rear of the car. Bumerang tail lights are really eye catching. Yet, the body design seems prone to side bruising in busy traffic. Ground clearance is good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Ritz VXI BS IV comes with nothing if you compare with Beat, i10 or Figo. There are no music system, central locking, Automatic climate control, electric ORVMs in Ritz VXI (though these features are of less importance for me). More spacious than i10, Beat, Micra and Astar. Plastics used are not upto the mark. Rear passengers are not so comfortable with less leg room. But due to tallness, you will experience Maharaja style of seating for 5 averagely built persons. Head room is wonderful and you never feel like confined in a cage. The waterfall console and gear position has attracted praises from friends/relatives who are owners of i10, figo, WagonR, Liva, Micra etc. AC is less powerful than Figo and i10.?
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best in class. I think it is the same engine that used in petrol version of swift or Dzire! Wonderful performer. With 83 bhp and 113 torque, it outclasses most of the vehicles (petrol version) of its class such as i10, figo, liva, micra, beat. Gearbox performance is good but with some sort of noise !Changing of gears is very smooth ! Brake is fantastic (perhaps due to heavy body weight it remains stable and faithfull in atleast 3 occasions when I had to brake suddenly above the speed of 100/kmh !). Fuel economy is not bad for this heavy (heavier than swift !) and tall petrol hatchback. Average consumption is showing 15 to 16 km/l. I bought the car in October 2012 and driven almost 4500 km mostly in the narrow and congested city roads of Guwahati which are notorious for traffic snarls and nightmarish to drivers. Here I want to share one day's experience when I driven 8 km in the morning. The indicator was set to zero before the driving. To my utter surprise, it has shown fuel consumption of 23.3 km/litre of fuel ! My question to the maker (Maruti Suzuki) is it possible for this car or the indicator was defective??
Ride Quality & Handling Fantastic ! I bought the car in October 2012 and learnt driving afterwards. I faced no problem in handling such a heavy (heavier than swift) and tall hatchback. very stable at 100 km/h. Achieved 135 km/h for a second or two on highway but it was too scary ! (Promised not to exceed 100 km/h).
Final Words The car is small but powerful. It is my Tendulkar. Not so glamorous but great performer. The Master Blaster. Saved me and my family thrice. Hats off !!!
Areas of improvement
1. Rear passenger legroom may be extended by a few mm.
2. Quality of Plastics and metal used in doors/body may be improved as in Volkswagen Polo.
3. Front look requires more attention and research for all Maruti Cars barring Alto, Astar, Dzire.

Exterior
No comment on looks, this had a lower priority in my list however i like its distinctive look. The paint quality (non metallic) is just ok, its neither too bad nor too good. The body lacks the solid feels when compared with cars like punto or figo ,just a small twig fell from a tree made dents on my roof.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interior space is adequate for 5, rode with 6 average sized people without much complaints (i was driving 😉). The seats provide good underthigh support both in front and rear, I have been in other cars like punto, figo, beat & swift and all these cars lack this feature which is very essential for long distance travels. The driving position is better than most other cars in the segment. Easy ingress and outgress due to the tall boy design (swift sucks in this area). The boot is not that spaceous, could not carry more than 2 medium sized bags. Interior plastics has got acceptable quality , the odo-meter console is simple to read only with the exception that the time displayed on mid can be read only at straight steering position, tacho meter is in a rather useful position you dont have to look down to know the rpm.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine performance is one of the area where this car scores huge, this 1.3 ddis is simply phenomenal nothing to say more than this. If you are looking for a power packed engine with good gear box combination look no further than Ritz or Swift, we had been to ooty and in similar ghats with 5 people onboard and this thing just pulls effortlessly. This car has got one of the best gear box in business, the gear ratios are cleaverly chosen to get most out of the engine (unlike in the punto where I felt the 1st and 2nd ratios terrible to use), I felt the gear lever is positioned more ergnomical than in other cars of this segment. The gear shifts are short throw and is not as smooth as the other cars(punto, swift, figo & beat) one has to pluck the lever from one position and plant into another. It some times won't engage into reverse, don't worry just 1)put into neutral 2)legs on the break 3) engage and disengae the clutch once, now it will slot in, this has been pointed out by many people but i feel you have to just live with it. Till date i am gettin around 19 - 20kmpl and no complains in this area.
Ride Quality & Handling
Has got nice ride quality however not in the league of punto or i20. Get rid of the sock 165/80 R14 and upgrade to 180/70 R14 this will improve hadling. The steering is a bit hard in my vehicle and need to use both hands in tight turns (unlike in swift where you press against the sreering with one hand and just rotate) not sure whether it is like this only in my vehicle, haven't heard such complaints from any other Ritz owners (i don't mind a little bit of hardness and thought not to take it up service center since the mechanicals are all ok). The short turning radius makes it easy to park and in tight situations
Final Words
Excellent performance, great milege, good service and yet another Happy Customer 😎.
If you are
1) Looking for a VFM car with peace of mind service go for Ritz.
2) Looking for a VVFM (Very VFM 😉) go for Figo, but you have to compromise in the engine performance for some extra gadgets.
3) Travelling only in city limits go for Beat.
4) Rich enought for a B+ segment and passionate about cars rather than just going from A to B, you have Polo, i20, Punto, Swift...
Areas of improvement

Exterior Hii friends this car has got amazing looks with aero dynamic design. Both head and tail lights are attracting.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious car. I am 6 ft 3 inches tall and ritz is my first car bought in 2012, since then I never ever experienced any discomfort. The steering is above my knees which is very comfortable, the roof is also high. 5 people can easily sit comfortably. The only concern is the boot space but not a problem for me.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1198 cc engine is powerful in its segment. the engine is very silent even on high rpm and higher speed. I drove this car at the speed of 140 km and still the car was stable, good grip with the road, no vibration.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride qulaity and handling is superb, My car is now 50'000 kms just in 2 years and still performance is like a new car.
Final Words I love this car very much.

Exterior Rear end is not so appealing. Front is superb a real hatch back and looks heavy
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are adequate enough, passenger space is very good & comfort is superb. Inbulit music system sound quality feels superb. nippon make which is the brand of all maruti cars.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Still new so all the things are working fine enough but engine noise is on the lesser side, fuel economy is improving and heading towards 19 plus.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very easy for the tall boy design and ride quality is superb.A perfect highway car I drove this at a stretch of say 500km but I felt after I came to halt is that I am coming out from a small room.AC is quiet chilling if u set it in minimum only.
Final Words Value for money and a worthwhile purchase.
Areas of improvement Rear needs improvement, boot space, Built quality and tachometer is to be integrated with the speedometer. It looks odd. Interiors needs improvement colour and material finish but it will add to prise also.

Exterior
I don’t know if I am showing partiality since I own this car, but I really like the look. The way headlight slope off tight corners are really sexy. I like the high rise and ground clearance of the vehicle.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):
You get power steering, power windows and AC.Spacious for 4 adults and 1 child including the driver seated. People at the back have space and they don’t have to crouch to get in. Boot space is good for two large suitcases placed horizontally on top of one another + one small suitcase put vertically.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Petrol Engine is flawless with good fuel economy. I get 14-15 kmpl in city depending upon the traffic and use of AC (my AC usage is about 30%). I get 19-20 with AC on highways depending upon the fuel I use. I generally use Shell petrol. Gear shift is not as smooth as the other car models from car makers like Hyundai or Honda. It was a hiccup initially but I am not complaining since it has improved over some time with service. Reverse gear may be sometimes uneasy for beginners.
Ride Quality & Handling
Good responsive steering. Aero-dynamic frame for great pick-up (compared to Swift with same engine. I have won the battle with it N number of times :-)). Seat positioning is good. It takes corners at high speeds. Good for both city and Highway travel.
Final Words
I won Blue Blaze Ritz VXI of 2011 model. Was initially planning to buy a Bolero. Then took a test ride of it on suggestion of my wife. Liked it. Owned it. And Loving it. Bolero can wait.
Good value for money and time tested Maruthi service. Would recommend it with a thumbs up.
Areas of improvement
The A pillar is causing a very big blind spot on the right. missed a few bikes and people while trying to cross the roads and taking sharps turns. Also the air inlet for the AC is placed in such a way that whatever is on the windscreen will eventually find its way into the inlet. very difficult to get your vacuum cleaner there to suck it Hazard to park my car underneath any trees.
Amazing pick up.Good Fuel Economy. Driving ComfortRight and Left Blind spots.
