Exterior Looks good on the front part and a spiler at the rear would make it look better.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Awesome dual tone interiors with good space and the seats are very comfortable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very smooth engine and the gearbox is like moving on butter. below 100km/hr I wonder if it is a petrol car.22-24.5 on highways. If driven below 100km/hr the mileage is 23 and above but if driven above 120-130km/hr the mileage drops to 21-20km/l. 16-19 in city. Very good pickup,you can trust on it in crucial times of overtakes and emergancy.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very good,road grip and view is awesome coz of the height.smooth on roads and no tension of bumping into some pit as the ground clearance is good.

Final Words Just buy it. HONESTLY speaking,i have driven my ritz vdi for about 2.39lk km for 6 years now and have changed the clutch wire 3 times and the brake and accelerator wires once.with regular service and good maintainance this car can be your best friend for life.
Don't go for swift or figo, Ritz is the best in class car. Don't worry about the rear shape just put a spoiler for 3k and it looks better than others.

Areas of improvement A/C needs to improve a bit.

Exterior Either you hate it or you love it... I love it, specially the back side.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Surprisingly spacious ok for long drives.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine oil level kept going down and the turbo was replaced twice.. I have clocked 33,000 kms. Finally they detected oil in the intake manifold and to clean this they had to take down the engine! Also the reversing light switch had to be replaced.

I get around 14 kms to the litre in Kolkata with AC and 18 on the highway.

Ride Quality & Handling With 36psi in the front tyres and 33psi in the rear it's quite a bumpy ride specially if there are two passengers in the car. Handling is pretty good though even at high speeds.

Final Words Bought it in June 2009 and have clocked 33,500 kms till Sep 2010. Overall a good car except that I had a bad time with the turbo... Hope my troubles are over.

Areas of improvement Fuel economy is not as good as is claimed.. needs to be looked into.

Exterior Different Exteriors may initally look eye-catching but soon makes a difference when seen on roads.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Too comforatble seats, with lot of space and a better design for the gears provide complete comfort for the person driving the car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Fuel economy in City (16-17kmpl) and on highway(20-21) as well.

Ride Quality & Handling A complete comfort ride most suited for Indian roads. Better riding and proper handling are the add-ons to make it compete in the Indian Car Market.

Final Words True value for money with a good blend of new looks with powerful engine that can drive several kms in a shot and perhaps keeping the comfort at its best.Recommended to buy . I have been owning Ritz- VDi since 7 months and driven approx 11000 kms and jus moving on and on. Cheers to Maruti.

Exterior One of the best design. it looks different and stylish. robost in construction.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice and cool interior with good fabrics, comfortable riding with 5 people , good space and leg rooms.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best engine in its class,very smooth engine, excellent gear box with shorter path, comfortable gear change.Effective ABS and it really rocks.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable and pleasant riding.

Final Words 2009 on a christmas eve i took this car . now it has clocked 21000kms. it is really pleasure and comfort to ride this car. taken 5 times to ooty. the riding was class. finally best hatch pack in its class. a good family car to take 5 people comfortably. better that swift , and i10 in terms of look and engine peformance. good vaue for money. new design and fantastic riding comfort. just go for it.

I actually went to book the new WagonR, but at the last moment test drove this car and was hooked on it. I also had the old WagonR and my family insisted that the new car should bediferent. These 2 reasons made me go for Ritz.

Exterior Very sporty, I like the looks very much. Thuogh some people may not like it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Bought an VXI, so got many nice features. The best for me is the Odometer (RPM meter) which sits on the dashboard. I generally change gears once the RPM touches 2000 and that has given me good mileage so far. Space, legroom, headroom & shoulder room are excellent. Me & my brother are tall (6'), and he sits on co-driver seat. He felt comfortable, which he did not feel in other cars like Estillo, Getz, WagonR. The rear seat can easily accomodate 3 ppl.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is peppy. I got 17kpl on my ride to Mahabaleshwar from Pune.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent, even on bumpy roads and on ghat's we got  very good ride quality. We sat in the car after heavy meals and even in ghats we didnot feel uneasy. I guess this was mostlyy becos of the upright seats in Ritz.

Final Words Although a bit of exaggeration, I tell my friends: If you want a sedan without the boot go for Ritz!!!.

Areas of improvement None for me. I have driven Omni & WagonR so it feels like a very very good car to me. But other ppl who have driven better cars may find soem improvements.

Exterior To deal with heavy and crazy traffic. The beauty of Ritz has the lower turning radius in its segment.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All 6 feet 5 tall bodies can seat comfortably for 400 KM in one run at driver, front and rear seats. What else we want? Down side is, once the rear seat is occupied, driver has a poor rear visibility in interior rear view mirror. 3 passengers can easily accommodate the rear seat but shoulder space is less than seat space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I use to travel to home town and come back to Pune in my new Ritz VDI. Total 900 Km up and down. Amazing mileage. 21.7 Kmpl with AC. 24 Kmpl W/O AC on highway. Home to office and vice versa...30 Km. 18 Kmpl in city. Especially thanks to Maruti Suzuki Team for this customer's million smile reason of mileage. Truly appreciated.

Ride Quality & Handling Feels like a King is riding an Elephant with Cheetah’s speed.

Final Words Yeah, I am happy with investment. It’s a Mean Tall Boy Machine. Happy to got what Maruti Suzuki promised to delivered.

Areas of improvement Rules, What can we say? Not satisfied with company fitted 55 Watt head lamp's performance on 4 way highways. I need some alterations at personal level.

Exterior Personally I like the TALL BOY aerodynamic design of the car. Rear look is depends of your taste. Painting is not very good quality.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Grey color Spacious and roomy interior. Leg room and head room for front and rear seats are very good. Height of the seats and dashboard gives the feeling of driving a SUV. Nice instrument cluster. Separate tachometer add more appeal to ineterior. 3 adults can comfortably sit in the rear seat. suitable for tall persons no problem. But plsatic quality in the doors and dashboard are poor.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox DDis engine which produces 75 bhp is quite good. smooth refined engine. Initially it was absolutely silent but after 10000 kms slight vibrations and engine noise inside the cabin. Engine Pick up is good but not excellent. When you go for long drive first 50 kms you will feel like breeze in driving this car but after that lack of pickup and turbo lag in lower gears is clearly evident. Fuel economy is good. so far i have driven this car for morethan 14000 kms i am getting average of 19 km / lit. Gear box is little hard not so smooth like Huyndai cars. I persistantly facing a problem while shifting to reverse gear. but not any serious issue in gearbox so far.

Ride Quality & Handling This car is quite good for good smooth roads. Suspension is not good for bad roads.In highways with five people you may feel good to handle this car. But single person in highways, not so stable when other vehicles crosses you. In stability at high speeds beyond 100 km/hr. Braking without ABS is not so sharp. if you travel at speed of 80 - 90 km/hr then you can have better control and smooth ride.

Final Words This car suitable for a small famil looking for good fuel economy, comfort and willing to travel at an average speed of 80 km/hr. not suitable for car enthusiats. overall , value for money car.

Areas of improvement Plastic quality and build quality.

Exterior Looks Great from Front, Rear looks depends on Individuals Views, Tall boy design looks like big car from Front.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious Interiors. Am 6 foot tall and never I have felt cramped. Great Front seats and excellent rear one too. Good comfort and I like for diving for long. But the plastic quality is not good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ultra refined engine. Many times I have felt as though the engine is off during ideal running condition. Very silent engine and great pickup. Doesnt feel Strained in higher RPM. Sporty Gear position. At times bit hard in reverse gear.

Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality in Low and high speed. Bit unsettled in high speeds at over 100 kmph if alone, but if fully loaded is very stable and settled. Bit of Body roll in corners at high speeds. Superb Electronic Power steering makes to ride a Joy.

Final Words Great Car to buy. 100% Value for money.

Areas of improvement Boot Space and Palstic Quality and colour.

Exterior Exterior is good looking, though some people say it's not that much better as compared to other cars like swift, polo etc. But I will say it's quite good and take into consideration that looks are all about personal intrests.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is a little bit different from other cars. I would say it as a radical approach 😊. But looks and feels very good. Plastic quality is good for the price. Gear lever is easily accessible.

Saying about space It's a really spacious car. I managed to drive with 6 big men and their luggage... 😎. As it has a tallboy design, there's enough head and leg room (more than any other car in it's segment)... Luggage space is impressive. Luggage space can be improved and lengthy objects can be stored with 60:40 foldable rear seats.

Comfort:

Very comfortable, large seats.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is superb. With turbo charger it flies on the road. It can perform better than cars in higher segment. I managed to achieve 152 kmph at Chennai highway ( I tried no more coz my father told me to decrease the speed... 😄 ).

It delivers above 21 kilometers per 1 litre of diesel. Very good fuel economy.

Gearbox is smooth & fine.

Ride Quality & Handling With an independent suspension on front wheels, and a Macpherson strut on back wheels it gives good comfort. Handles like a dream.

Brakes are good. Stops the vehicle from high speeds in very less time.

Final Words You can buy it with no tension. It will never disappoint you.

Areas of improvement Headlights are giving less light. In rainy nights, it may be a problem for some people.

Wiper blade quality should be improved. Maruti should add a zdi option with ABS & airbag for ritz. Many people wants it.
