More specifically this review is about Ignis Zeta AMT petrol version. We checked all avialable Automatic transmission options in a budget close to 8L.
Had driven them all too. Then I visited Nexa and test drive the car, it was the best looking car with awesome interiors. We were impressed. After waiting for 2 months we got our car delivered. Zeta AMT offers all modern features and it really feels premium. Height of the car is good and space is also good.
Handling is amazing with AMT. Interiors are best in this segment. I miss LED head lamps and touchscreen which is not available in AMT variant even though the price is high. Rest every thing is perfect. Gear switch lag is there but this is the property of AMT so it is common for all AMT cars(cvt is smoother) in market and it's manageable. Maruti had really worked on looks, performance, space, comfort and derived Ignis. Go for it.

Writing a review doesn`t come naturally to me but after driving IGNIS for more than 300 KMS I inteded to write about this product from Maruti Suzuki.
Firstly you may go through all technical specs on any Auto website and they can provide ample of specs. I would write about how I felt when I drove it for multiple times.
When you see the car from outside then you will not realize how easy is to get in to this car.The SUV-type stance, hatchback-like proportions, flared wheel arches and a completely unusual derriere – the Ignis isn’t anything we’ve seen on the roads before. Tallish Design and Big front doors make it easy for us to enter into the car.
Now sitting is very upfront and upright with ample space around for hand and leg movements. The Ignis has neat, upright seats that let you sit, knees tucked, as you would at a dining table, and its raised roofline still gives plenty of headroom. My some friends and Brother in law are near 6ft, but even in the back they still had more than a hand’s breadth above their heads.Hence aspect of the Ignis worth appreciating is the overall space and seating comfort. It may look compact from the outside, but it’s spacious enough to seat four adults and a kid.
Even more impressive is the rear leg room, and with the front seat pushed back, an average Indian wouldn’t feel cramped at the rear. It’s a practical cabin with decent number of pockets to swallow your knick knacks, plus, the 260 litres boot is well designed and can easily hold your weekend getaway cargo. When you start the engine, it is literally soundless. You may not know the engine is started even especially when you are in traffic and suddenly your engine is switch off and you need to re-start.Such is engine refinement and Noise Insulation!
To drive it’s a buzz saw. You careen about like a Wacky Racer! The petrol motor continues to be smooth and refined, and at 860kg, the lightweight Ignis offers a peppy drive. It doesn’t feel as hurried as the Baleno when driven fast, but that’s down to the engine tune that develops power in a very linear manner. It continues to sound good – not Baleno good though.
Compared to the international model, the Ignis sold in India gets slightly softer spring ratings that take good care of our road surfaces. At most times, the ride stays nice and flat, in fact, for a car that’s only 3.7m long, the Ignis stays extremely composed even at speeds above 100kph.The ride quality is very good and convinient. A high ground clearance gives a confidence to go off-road as well.
The inside story is equally interesting – it’s quite funky and cheerful, and to be honest, it’s the best we’ve seen from a Maruti in terms of design. The best part, it all feels well put together. The two-tone interiors, layered dash and the tab like Smart Play infotainment system give it a very modern look, something the Millennials would readily appreciate.
For a money which is 80K less than that of Baleno, you get a trendy looking compact hatchback crossover/ Mini SUV that’s great to drive, has a comfortable ride, cool and spacious interiors and doesn’t disappoint as far as road dynamics go.

I Purchased Ignis Sigma Petrol On 3/12/2017. I Have Driven It For 5000Km. All Of A Sudden, Petrol Started Leaking From Fuel Tank. Took Car To Service Center. On Inspection, Both Fuel Pipes Were Found To Be Damaged By Rodents Like Rats. Company Should Have Provided Pipes With Metal Cladding Which No Rodent Can Nibble. So Much For Nexa Premium Cars.

After most exciting launch of this unique vehicle, went to Nexa showroom to see the vehicle. Twinsle blue color with white (multicolor) was in the display, attracted me like anything, immediately i felt to take this. So Baleno booking converted to Ignis. Finally I owned this Ignis zeta model on 08.feb.2017.
After using 6 months plus (so far drove 3000 Km ...) i am writing my genuine feedback of this car. Trust me this is my first car.
Pros;
1. Multi-color,
2. Looks very sportive from front side,
3. Ground clearance need not to think of speed breakers.
4. Excellent music system with multifunction steering.
5. Engine noise is very smooth (low noise), won’t feel sometimes it is on.
6. Boot space is good.
Concerns:
1. First and most disadvantage is the back shape of the vehicle. Even I got a comments for the same.
2. Mileage: It is giving of max 13 km with in the city, little disappointment against claim of 21 km.
Conclusion: If Maruti change the back shape of the vehicle it would be the number one car in the hatchback segment. Overall satisfaction of the car is good , definitely I would recommend to buy this car.
