I purchased Ignis Zeta AMT. I was owning Ritz VXI before. Naturally my mind was comparing every aspect of Ignis with Ritz.
I selected Ignis for 2 reasons . 1. AMT 2. Looking for a tall boy design like Ritz. Even though it is not as tall as Ritz I decided to go for it. I wanted to buy the Delta version but purchased the Zeta version. Still not personaly convinced with the difference in price betweenDelta and Zeta for the features offered. I took delivery and started my 500 KM journey It was a head turner. Many on the high way wanted to find which model the car is, and starring. We were happy.
It was bumpy on high way. Even at small road unevenness, I could feel the vibration inside. I was recalling the excellent suspension my Ritz had. The quality of ride could not match Ritz. After 100 kms I checked the tyre pressure and to my surprise it was 44 psi. I have no idea why dealer has set sucha high pressure. I reduced the pressure to 34 psi after that the smoothness has improved but still could not match to Ritz. I used to drive ritz at 100 to 110 KM/h. But I could not drive Ignis more than 80 KM/h as I was feeling the body is not as solid as Ritz. I was not feeling safe to drive more than 80 km/h.
Steering is very light and easy to turn. Good point. But in the U turn, while turn it back, normally I leave the steering, my Ritz steering would come back to original centre position on its own, which was very comfortable. But in Ignis I had to turn the steering all the way back. Even though it is a striking difference, I hope I will get use to it soon.
The info system shows Distance to empty, Average fuel cnsumption etc. Need to fill the tank 2 or 3 times to check the accuracy of this data. Gear shift was very smooth. Enjoyed the clutch free driving. Put the gear in manual mode. At 5 th gear applied brake the ear automatically shifted down to 2 nd gear. Gear down shifting to lower gear in manual mode is really a convenient feature.
Shown to my friends. They were thinking the price could be between 4 to 5 lakhs. When I said the onroad price as 7.5 lakhs, they put a step back. Started asking me why I purchased this car, and said I could have gone for other brands/models. I do felt the price is high, but still convinced with my decision.
The illumination control for the Instrument cluster is a convenient feature, I liked it. The interior has dual colour and the second colour is white. I am worrying how to maintain the white coloured parts without getting dirty. Keyless entry is a convenient feature, but I hope it wont drain the battery. Further review after completing first service.
New style. Head turner on Road. Light easy to turn steering, AMT quick gear shiftHigh Price , The rear seat is not for 3 for 2.5, Steering not returning back in U-turnsExterior/Styles

Stunning looking car. I got mine recently and I can't stop staring at it. I think this is by far the best quality of this car, after trust of Maruti. I remember when Maruti had launched the Swift, I felt that was one bold and revolutionary move. I felt the same way with Ignis. Full five star for styling here.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The look and feel should be appealing for the most, however, it didn't excite me as much. I like the interior to be more subtle, Polo like. But then that's me. :)
The plastic quality is typical Maruti like and doesn't give any confidence. But I knew what I was getting into. Even the lighter colour of the dual tone colours used is a bit light. I wish it was a bit more beige like than gray-white like. It will get very dirty.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
I bought the Delta Petrol AT. I am very happy with the performance. It's really peppy in city peppy which is where I die everyday in. Was confused between MT and AT but took the call in favour of AT. I am confident that it's the best decision that I took in recent times, other than getting married to my wife (she was not my wife before marriage, just clarifying). I ahven't taken it to highway yet but I think it should work fine. Also, I haven't crossed 2000 kms and driving the car very subtly right now. More will follow later once I cross the run-in period.
Final Words
Excellent car. Not value for money though. I wish the car was cheaper by 1L and it could have send all other cars in the segment to scrapyard. Also I'm very wary of safety standards of Maruti. They are delivering what Indian consumers really want so not their fault maybe but I think with each new product they launch they are making their cars more Indian like. We Indians leave safety to God and this is exactly what Maruti is also doing. :P

The interior quality is good and the top-spec car gets automatic climate control, a modern touchscreen Apple Car Play infotainment system equipped with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking sensors and a multifunction steering wheel. It gets all-four power-windows on the top-spec car along with electrically adjustable wing mirrors and rear parking sensors. The interior is decently spacious thanks to its upright seating. The boot space is larger than the Swift but is still limited.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)air conditioning, seating, sound and music quality, FM radio are all good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox1200 cc, 5 speed manual gear box very easy shifting, power steering response excellent, milege-21.1 kmpl on highway, and 19 kmpl in city, with A/C ON, and 5 peoples in car.
Ride Quality & Handling ride quality excellent, good pickup, car handling superb even on 120 kmph speed , overtaking to another vehicle is very easy, brakes are also good and responsive. all safety features present in it.
Final Word IGNIS MY FIRST CAR, BEST VALUE FOR MONEY. DONE 5000 KMS, IN 6 MONTHS, BEST CAR.
Areas of improvement original boot space 260 litres, it should be little more near about 300 litres.
Very good fuel economy, I am getting 21 kmpl on highway and 19 kmpl in city,Nothing...Exterior/Styles

I have Ignis Delta/ petrol. I am very happy to have this car. Thank u Maurti. This car design in completely on new platform with already tested engine. No need to tell about exterior design. Its superb, just European style car. No one car in this segment have this beautiful style. Really unconventional design. I have ridden 986 KM with 18.7 KM/ LTR average. Just showing on tachometer. 1198 CC engine tune perfectly with this design, shockers & platform. CABIN NOISE IS ZERO. pin drop silent inside the cabin. 180 MM ground clearance along with 15th wheels provide, good quality of riding indian road condition. Wheel base to too good in this segment so LEG ROOM inside the cabin is very very good. Even in rear side also. 5 persons can sit very comfortable. many times we did it. Two times I drive it 100 KM/hour. Its seems controllable and stable. Turning radius to short. Easy movement in city traffic as well as torque is also high than other car. not need change gear even in slow speed. driver seat in very good position so visibility is clear even on Right side also. Important points are, IGNIS have all require safety feature ABS, EBD, AIRBAG, TCT if break assist(BA) also should be inside, but it ok. Maruti is thinking about safety for Indian, its good for us.
HENCE BEST DRIVABILITY, VISIBILITY, SAFETY. GOOD AVERAGE. ITS COMPLETE PRACTICAL CAR. DESIGN, PERFORMANCE. EVERYTHING IS GOOD IN THIS CAR.
I am just missing touch screen infotainment system. But it ok. I am very to have this, and hope it will continue.

I own the Ignis Delta MT. This is my first ever car, and have driven for few hundred kilometers. Here is my first ever car review:
1. Buying experience was just amazing. I had lot of choices in front of me, within a tight budget of 6 lakhs. After an intensive research of 6 months, selected the Ignis. Why? Well the mid variants are completely VFM, the features you get and the standard safety. Plus the amazing engine. Many people hate the back design and reject the car, but let me tell you that you will be always inside the car, and hence a car should never be chosen on the design alone! Many factors are to be considered.
2. Ride quality is good, I found it very comfortable. The suspension is a little stiff, but can absorb some bumps. The tried and tested 1.2 petrol engine. Responsive steering. Car is light and has a good turning radius. Very spacious in the inside, believe me! The car looks small but inside its opposite. But in rear seat only 2.5 can sit.
3. Looks are completely subjective, Performance is very peppy, the power is there at all times.
4. Low maintenance costs being a Maruti.
5. Pros: Mid variants are VFM, standard safety, high GC, 15" wheels, engine Cons: Rear seat is best for 2.5, A little stiff suspension, light weight car, cheap plastics used but better than quality of Baleno. To sum it up, if you are a first time car buyer with a budget of 6-6.5 lakhs or want a pocket friendly hatch, Ignis is for you.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Every thing is best,
Ride Quality & Handling Fantastic ride quality . very very easy to drvie in city, crowd area. eninge is so good.
Final Words I have IGNIS/ Delta/ MT. first of all, IGNIS price is not high. its feature loaded car in this segment and its value of money. We can compare it with Grand i10- MAGNA. Ignis Delta have following features Two Airbags,ABS , EBD, TCT and steering mounted controls, Tilts adjustment, Ground clearance 180 MM, Short Turning radius, Music system, Soft gear shifting, drive seat high is good position. Over all.BEST DRIVABILITY, VISIBILITY, AVERAGE, SAFETY , GOOD MOVEMENT IN CITY. A SINGLE FEATURE DONT CONTAIN IN GRAND I10 now Price in my udaipur city is IGNIS 6.1 lacs and Grand i10 is 6.05 lacs. I am getting 20 KMPL in my city. torque of IGNIS is too good. no need to change gear frequently even slow speed. hence its best car for me.
Areas of improvement NA.
Visibility, drivability, Comfort, no cabin noise. best controlingnothingExterior/Styles

My newly purchased Ignis Petrol Auto vehicle from Varun Auto,Bangalore had a sudden pick up in acceleration and causing a life threatening accident.
On 14th January, 18 while driving above in a bye lane around 6.15PM with a speed around 15 kms (it was a bye lane and hence the slowest speed possible), the vehicle suddenly picked up speed to around 50-60kms and went out of control with in seconds. The brakes did not work and application of handbrake did not help.
The vehicle went through few boulders and came to a halt after hitting a large mound. Fortunately I was alone in the car and no other person was injured. It was a very scary experience and I really do not understand the reason for this malfunction. The vehicle has been towed to Varun Auto service centre at Yeswanthpur, Bangalore by around 9.30PM.
Could you please depute your technical personnel to inspect the reason for above malfunctioning and also advise whether it is safer to use this car any longer.
