It is a luxary car with good suites interior and in the case of mileage we can say good around 16-17 and interior is so good it looks like honda city because of dashboard and function are also very impressive like a lux car. So In my advice if you want to buy a new car and budget is 3.5-4 lacks then thats the best for you.In the case of fuel economy i think not special economy, my red estilo gives me near about 15-16.Interiors are very good it looks like a luxary car, dashboard is so nice.Space is good

I bought my New Zen Estilo with K Series engine 2 weeks back. I did 350 KMs so far. I felt the car the most luxurious and extra-fittings in this price range.

The striking points with the new car: Very comfortable seating, perfect for long drives without hurting your back bones. (I am a final year med student). The seats are high placed, so that you need not bend your leg too. Much compared to other cars like Astar, i10, spark, santro. Rear seats are comfortable too.

      -Smooth driving

      -Easy handling

-Very smooth gear shift and gear engaging

      -Super stearing

-Excellent interior with this price tag

      -Spacious front and back space

      -Decent boot space.

The car looks like an Innova at cheap price. Very happy with car. Once all glasses are raised you hear no disturbance from outside. AC is powerful. I have driven A STar, Santro, Spark. From all those i found this car very different from all aspects. As many say the A Pillar and the extra beam theay have given blocks the side view. and creates a potential blind spot. But once you are used to the car this is not a matter any more.

The company says mileage of 19. But initially I am not much satisfied with mileage. I get a 12.7 mileage initially with AC. I use the car mostly to shuttle between my college and hostel which is around 1 km far, plus. There is a steep hill in between, so I dont expect much mileage at this stage. I have not done my first service. Hoping to get around at least 17 in my driving conditions. I dont know why there is sever fogging of the windscreen and side glasses. Its rainy season, if AC on for long, fogs outside the windscreen. If AC off, fogs inside. May be i will get, some improvement after using the car for some time. And I had to change the factory fitted horn as it varies in sound at some times and also that the entire car can feel the vibration while blowing the horn. Now i am okay with the new, Roots skoda type horn. Exterior of the car is very appealing, it looks almost like innova put to starvation.. lol :)

Though the 2 tone  interior color  looks appealing, the quality of plastics should be improved.

Comfortable seatings both front and back. Interior styleA Pillar, Horns

I went to buy A-Star, but though I loved it, I was a little concerned about the lack of boot space (which for a family person is always a factor - may not be, if I was 10 years younger). I did not originally even consider Zen, being dissapointed by the shape of the earlier version.  But when I saw the new refined look in 2009 model, i felt it looked more balanced. I took a test drive and was instantly thrilled by the engine power (almost felt like a mini SUV!!). The high seats and view of the road was also a plus.  I tested this in Jun in Delhi (peak summers) and the AC was amazing - may be one of the biggest factor why I bought this car.

I have driven this car for aout 10,000 KMs now in ~ 1 year and so far this has been hassle free - no maintenance issues, still powerful, AC still good, looks still trendy.

Overall given I never thought I would buy a Zen to actually liking the car a lot, this has clearly exceeded my expectations.

This is the first new car which we are going to buy. I went to test drive the newly arrived estilo. Il looks attractive than others. the electronic power stearing is very accurate and sensitive. Changing gear is very easy by this "detent pin technology". I like the interior looks very much. But as all models, in estilo also the fiber quality is not nice. Comparing to the money ratio the fiber quality is sufficient. sufficient boot space in the rear sheets. While starting the car engine vibration is high. Overall the all new estilo is very nice and it is in the same formula of maruti, which is low cost great milage.
Good exterior & interior looks. attractive dual tone interiors, sufficient boot space in rear sheetsA/C Blower noice is high, fiber quality is not so good

Exterior Exterior is good it looks like a prototype of toyota innova.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For people more than 5.8 it is a good car. Driver positon is good and steering wont hit your leg.Seating postion in all seats are good you will feel like sitting in larger platform and visibility to road in all seats are good.Back seaters can enjoy site seeing.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox New k series doing a good job in power aswell as mileage 16-18 definetly you will get.

Ride Quality & Handling It is a perfect car for city drive. For long drive comfort wont satisfy you.In low speed handling is good but in high speed must be carefull.

Final Words Its a good economic car for small families. Clearly I can say its maintanace free car, it wont loot your pocket ,spare parts also very cheap.

Areas of improvement Drive quality, interior plastic quality, suspension is rigid, body roll can be reduced.

K-series egine performance is awsomeBody roll while turing curves

Initially i was planning to buy maruti esteem, but since it is going out of production, therefore i opted for Zen Estilo. but after buying the car i dont feel sorry about not having esteem. The interior of the car is excellent with heavy looking dashboard than any other car in higher segment also. Dashboard is very stylish and is in dual tone in vxi model. Engine as you all know is of Wagon R, therefore no probs i mean well proven. Shockers also very good, very powerful AC.From outside the car appears to be not that big, it appears to be small but from inside maruti has very meticulously utilised the space, the sitting is high therefore you dont feel tight at the back also.boot space is also good. i havent checked the average as on date. i purchased the car on 25th september 2007. the car has got front look of matiz, back of wagon R and side of innova.

      Overall a very good car.

Good Engine with superb pickup and the gear box is good but i have seen better ones. Mileage is pathetic on highways. I have driven non a/c avg speed at 90 kmph and i got 13 kmpl. In city I get about 11 with AC. Maximum speed on highways is 140kmph and avg speed will be about 100. I get 11-12 if i drive at this speed.

For the city its a very good car as manuerability is important but the steering can be made little bit more responsive, doesnt mean they are bad but imporvements can be made. Make the ac powerful, I mean POWERFULL. just the driver and passenger get the ac.

Worth your money if you are a city driver with occassional higway rider. Highways mileage a problem as petrol costs will give an extra bulge on your pockets for every drive you take. have been getting the same mileage - dont know if i need to drive below 75 to get the 18-20 kmpl mileage. I have an innova which gives me the same mileage.

Best for city, Good Pickup, Good Boot SpacePoor Mileage on Highways, Under Power AC

well..1st of all ...pls don't compare it with the Zen..... if at all ..ders nething similar..its "3 letters",ZEN,..ntn else. well..abt looks...it ofcourse depends frm person to person....frm my point of view,i think it looks good !.. Lxi has got Power windows for the front, which the WagonR doesnt hav. till now this car is abt 3,000 kms old..and it giving an average of 13-14 with ac which is pretty decent in the City.... and honestly..i won't be using this car 4 the highway, and as far as City drive is concerned..its a nice car to drive, and doesnt require too many gear changes... and Gear-shifting---its certainly not good enough....bt one gets used to it soon. unlike the Santro and WagonR its got 4 speaker provisions ...all on doors...so we hav an option of music coming frm all sides..espicailly if we put 2 more on the tray(ofcourse, not included in the car) Engine configuration is ofcourse d same as the WagonR...well tried and tested.so d engine is a pretty successful one. i wud say,buy this car only if u're goin to drive...... backseat is pretty uncomfortable,n its cramped. But the front has got ALOT of space...so no worries if u're driving ! i'll update my review wen its time for the 2nd servicing @5000 kms.... In all..its a car worth buying... and incase u're going to use it for highways,go for the model which has ABS....because at speeds above 100-110,this car mite b a little bouncy.fuel economy is pretty decent,i like the Beige interiors....less space at the back...

The Estilo represents Maruti Suzuki matching pace with the changing taste and lifestyle of 'Vibrant India'. The bolder new Estilo, designed to meet the aspirations of the Indian customer, is a heady-mix of sculpted features, bold designs, new exciting colours.

Leading the advanced technological features on the new Estilo are a new engine and a transmission system. Equipped with the popular 998cc K-series engine, the Estilo delivers a superior fuel efficiency of 18.2 kmpl (ARAI test results). This BSIV compliant engine makes the Estilo the second car in Maruti Suzuki stable that meets the BSIV norms much ahead of the effective date, April 2010.

The new Estilo comes with new efficient transmission technology and advanced 'Detent pin' gear shift mechanism for smooth and precise gear shift feeling for the customers.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "The new Estilo, with a new technology engine and a new transmission, is sure to delight the customer. We are confident that the new Estilo with its bolder new design and interiors will add to the competitive edge of Maruti Suzuki in compact car segment."

On the refreshed Estilo, that packages contemporary features and style with next generation technology, he added, "Product upgradation is an integral part of Maruti Suzuki's business strategy and future plans. This is a way to include feedback from the customers and offer better products that match their tastes."

The compact hatchback new Estilo is a part of the growing A2 compact segment where Maruti Suzuki is the established market leader with a market share of 58 per cent.

      Superior technology Engine

The Maruti Suzuki new Estilo houses the K-series 'K10B' engine under the hood. The 998cc three-cylinder engine delivers a power of 68 PS@ 6200rpm and a higher torque of 90Nm @ 3500rpm. The improved engine technology enables more power, low NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and the lighter weight of the engine helps to increase the fuel efficiency with lower emissions. The new Estilo comes with ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.2 kmpl.

Technical highlights of the K10B engine include DOHC (Double Overhead Cam shaft) with offset crank shaft, resulting in better volumetric efficiency, improved power and FE, high compression ratio, plastic intake manifolds for reducing weight and suction losses, Smart Distributor-less ignition (SDLi) system with dedicated plug top coils and advanced injector for superior atomization. The engine oil in the new technology K10B engine is required to be changed only after 10,000 km thus lowering the running cost.

      Environment friendly

The new Estilo is the second model from the Maruti Suzuki stable which is BSIV compliant, thanks to the K series engine. The Estilo is also ELV compliant and 89% of the parts are environment friendly meeting ELV norms. Further, to take on the forthcoming norms of 10% Ethanol blending of petrol, the new Estilo is also E-10 compliant. Maruti Suzuki is bringing these environment-friendly features to its range of cars much ahead of the industry adopting these norms.

      Superior Transmission

A new transmission technology and a number of innovations make the new Estilo a combination of power and pleasure.

The new Estilo comes with a new Cable-type transmission technology. The five-speed manual gear with synchromesh is now changed to Cable type as against Rod-type, mechanical transmission earlier. This new transmission reduces the gear shifting effort in the new Estilo, by reducing mechanical losses.

The new Estilo has been fitted with an advanced 'detent pin' gear shift and select mechanism. This mechanism eliminates the sliding friction (or line contact) between parts and provides rolling friction (or point contact). This technology, in turn, facilitates smoother transition of gears, and is a first among all Maruti Suzuki products.

These engineering changes, based on customer feedback, provide gear shift assistance for the driver (the gear smoothly goes into its position with minimal effort of the driver). The mechanism reduces the friction and hysteresis losses, thereby proving smooth and precise shifting of gears. It also removes the feeling of stickiness during gear shift process.

      Safety, Security & Comfort

The new Estilo is high on safety, security and comfort.

Improved occupant safety in the form of increase in the frontal impact absorbing area, as the distance between steering wheel and front bumper is increased.

The VXi variant comes equipped with front and rear fog lamps, rear wiper and washer. Safety features like Airbag (driver side) and ABS are provided as option in the VXi variant.

In terms of vehicle security the VXi variant comes with i-CATS integrated keys, five-door central locking and anti-theft alarm.

Rear parcel shelf adds to the passenger convenience and comfort in the VXi variant. Based on customer feedback, the suspension of the new Estilo has been fine tuned to provide improved ride and handling.

      Compact and Convenient

The new Estilo has got a minimum ground clearance of 165 mm and wheelbase of 2360 mm. The tight turning radius of 4.6 meters makes the Estilo a favored car in tight parking and driving conditions.

      Vibrant design, styling and looks

In its refreshed avatar, the Good fuel economy, New refreshed style, New K series engineLess spacious, Same old interiors
