- MY FIRST CAR......Exterior SUPERIOR BOLD STYLING WITH A STRONG BODY, SIMPLE YET ELEGANT DESIGN, LOOKS OLD THOUGH BUT CANT NEVER BE OUTDATED Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) LARGEST LEGROOM FOR FRONT PASSENGERS IN ITS CLASS.....Ummm LAGERST LEGROOM AND NOT EVEN THE CARS IN THE 2 SEGMENTS ABOVE THIS SPORT SUCH A LEGROOM....ITS NYS BUCKET SEATS GIVE U TIRELESS TRAVELLING AND A SPORTY FEEL...ITS A.C PROVIDES ADEQUATE COOLING, ITS DRIVING POSTION IS JUST PERFECT ONLY CAR THAT COULD MATCH ITS DRIVER POSTION AND VISIBILITY IS THE SKODA OCTAVIA, ITS MUSIC PLAYER CAN BE CUSTOMISED AND YOU NEED NOT STICK WITH THE COMPANY FIXED MUSIC SYSTEMS AS NOWADAYS CARS COME WITH A BUILT IN MUSIC SYSTEM IN THE DASH WHICH YOU CANT CHANGE, Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I NEED NOT SAY NETHING ABOUT THE ENGINE,PERFORMANCE FUEL ECONOMY AND GEARS... EVERY PERSON BORN IN INDIA KNOWS HOW ESTEEM PERFORMS...ITS THE "LUXURY CAR" THAT INDIA GREW UP WITH ITS THE "SPORTS CAR" WE RACED WITH ITS THE "TOUGH CAR" WE USED TO RALLY WITH ITS THE "FAMILY CAR" WE ALL ENJOYED IN ITS THE "TOURER" IN WHICH WE SCALED OUR COUNTRY ROADS.....ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT DRIVING CONDITIONS ITS FUEL ECONOMY HAS VARIED FROM 8KM/L TO 19KM/L Ride Quality & Handling DECENT RIDE QUALITY BUT UNMATCHABLE HANDLING AGAIN ONLY A SKODA HAS BEEN ABLE TO BEAT THIS CAR IN THE MATTER OF HANDLING NO1 ELSE HAS BUT A SKODA COSTS MORE THAN 2 TIMES ITS COST.... Final Words "CONCLUDING ITS THE INDIAN MUSTANG, THE INDIAN MERC, THE INDIAN LANCER, THE INDIANPEOPLES CAR.....AND ALL THOSE BIG CAR BRANDS AND CARS THAT ARE SELLING IN INDIA TODAY ITS BECAUSE OF THIS CAR "ESTEEM" MADE A MARKET FOR ALL THOSE CUSTOMERS. IT MADE A WAY FOR EVERYONE TO COME HERE AND SELL THEIR CARS....WHICH IS NOW ONE OF THE BIGGEST CAR MARKETS IN THE WORLD...INDEED ITS THE MEASURING STICK FOR CARS IN INDIA Areas of improvement IT CAME IN IN 1990's AND WAS STOPPED IN 2007 WHIC UPSETED THE PEOPLE A LOT STILL IT RULED THE INDIAN MARKET FOR OVER A DECADE AND A HALF WHICH IS QUITE COMMENDABLE..... IT BECAME EVIDENT THAT IT BECAME OLD AND WAS HARD TO CARRY ON ITS PRODUCTION AND INSTEAD OF UPGRADING IT THEY REPLACED IT.....BUT WITH WHAT A SWIFT DESIRE!!!!!!! I MEAN THAT CAR JUST HAS ONE ADVANTAGE ITS DISEL OPTION....AND I WASNT ABLE TO FIND A SINGLE REASON TO BUY THAT CAR OVER THE ESTEEM.....WITH TIME ESTEEMS 65bhp ENGINE WAS BEING OUTPERFORMED BY ITS OTHER CAR MAKERS...SO I WOULD SUGGEST MARUTI SUZUKI TO RELAUNCH THE ESTEEM WITH A NEW EMISSION NORMS AND A SAME CC TURBOCHARGED ENGINE AND I BET IT WILL RULE THE INDIAN MARKETS ONCE AGAIN "HANDLING", DRIVING POSITION, ROAD GRIP, MARUTIS SERVICE AND ASSURANCE, EASY REPAIR, "STRONG BUILT"THE MORE YOU DRIVE IT THE MORE YOU LOVE IT.....THATS THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THIS CARRating parameters(out of 5)5

0 - VALUE FOR MONEYI choose Esteem for the reason that this car is made by a reputed car manufacturer and being sold in the market for the last 15 years hence a proven model and value for money. The service net work of Maruti one of the largest and the availability of Spares.I am getting around 15 in city by using AC judiciously. Now the new Esteem has excellent pick up.So far NORating parameters(out of 5)3
