Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good.
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Words Good Family Car.

Wheel Change; requires the person to kneel down; could be avoided with better tools. Now the Complete Review.
Hey Viewers,
I bought an Ertiga ZDI on Dec 2012; luckily the dealer had few vehicles before hand; so I did not have to wait more than 5 working days to get my car delivered with registration :-).
Previous Driving Experience
I owned
1. used Opel Astra Club for more than 2 years
2. used Maruti 800 5Speed for more than 3 years
3. Used to be a driver before 2003 (drove lots of ambassadors)
hold atleast 250000 - 300000 kms driving experience in various four wheelers (diesel, petrol, hatchback, sedan, suv)
Now about the Humble & Smooth Beast
With this Ertiga I have clocked just over 2000 KM (mostly highways around 1500 km)
Bought the following accessories to fit the humble beast.
1. Changed the seat covers to Tan Brown leather
2. Front and Rear Bumper
3. Bluetooth
4. Video Player with SD, USB Playback & 7" LCD Screen
5. Reverse View Camera with 7" LCD Screen
6. Floor PVC Mat Cover (I have kids and wanted to avoid any spills spoil my car's floor)
7. Door Sil Guard
8. Bumper & Door Guard *(Just for Look)
Pros
1. Good Family carrier
2. Good Mileage - Able to clock around 18.5 KMPL (Smooth drive)
3. Accommodate-able space for 7 (My kids actually play inside the car while I am driving)
4. Easy Maneuver in City traffic.
5. Feels like a Car than a MPV
6. Cup Holders (2), Bottle Holders (4) comes in handy
ons
1. Not Comfortable seats (actually discussing with the dealer and other accessories shop to change the seats both front and middle)
2. Lacks power when I require; requires more amount of downshift during takeovers on highways. Which feels like a less pleasure driving
3. Noise in the cabin is high; though not like an Ambassador but equivalent to an Indica. Am actually surprised in this area since its a Fiat powered engine (was expecting low noise).
4. Shoulder Space in Middle row when 3 well built adults sit (could see the difference with my previous Astra where we were enjoying the shoulder space)
5. Boot Space when all rows are used for sitting. (Planning for a over head carriage)
6. Tough to change the Wheels; the default jackie kit requires lots or me crouching and landing on the floor to change the wheels, which I hate to the most. I like to change the wheels by just getting my palms dirty, not my knee, thigh, elbows etc. (Planning to buy a different tools set that suits my taste)
7. Beige Color finish; requires lot of effort to have it clean that too with four kids playing in the cabin, its a nightmare.
8. No space for placing the documents (like I had in my Maruti 800)
Being a Family MPV car; designers should have thought about having under seat tray, Dash board pockets, over head pockets to have multiple storage area, than just seat packets and dash board tray.
Now with the Comparison of my Previous Cars With Astra
1. Ertiga is Good in Mileage :-)
2. Ertiga is bad in Comfort
3. Ertiga is bad in Performance
4. Ertiga is Bad in Sitting Space
5. Ertiga is Equal in Boot Space & Sitting Space put together
6. Ertiga occupies the same space what my Astra use to take in Garage.
7. Ertiga is good with my Wallet when it comes to service.
8. Ertiga is bad when it comes to look (which i never consider)
9. Ertiga is equal with the controls and gadgets.
10. Ertiga is good with its Power Steering
11. Ertiga is bad with the space for gadgets for the driver
12. Ertiga is bad when it comes to interior color
Overall, I could not lay my hands on either of the vehicle; I miss few with Ertiga which I enjoyed in Astra and vice versa.
But I could still say that I am happy that I do not need to rent or hire another vehicle to take my family (Me, my wife, my father & mother and four kids). Now I can always stick with my family even when driving. So taking closeness and family into consideration I like Ertiga.

Final Words
I agree with all the prons mentioned in all the reviews and a proud owner of this car, But want to share some cons which i have not see mentioned anywhere
Areas of improvement
> Bonet and the front is not visible its difficult when parking the vehicle you have to go by judgement
> Headlight is extrenely poor and very less visibility at night, Also the front glas the opposite vehicle lights gets reflected on eyes (Maruti is offering the addtional headlight lamps on Extra cost) its ppor with the car of pricing 8 Lakh
> I heard it from many and experienced myself, Break are something which can not be relie on Sometime it works excellent some time not, You will not be confident on breaks
> Shocks in my view are not very smooth, You feel jerks when driving in on rocky roads
> Only 8KG capacity of CNG will go around 160KM and CNG availability other than Pune is an issue

Exterior Very good design by Maruti.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Really spacious than the other cars in the segment. but lack of safety features and maruti cars are pretty light still they do not provide any safety features in this model.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine not at all upto the mark. really under powered to pull of an mpv. everytime needs to switch off the ac when climbing the bridge. fuel economy is pretty good, it gives around 16 km/ltr. gear box not at all smooth durning reverse gear shift.
Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is very good so the ride quality is very smooth. handling is also decent.
Final Words Had bought the limited edition few months ago and in the second week itself the rattling noise started cuming from the rear door panels. so we gave the car to the sevice network atleast 4 times in 6 months but unfortunately they arent able to solve the issues. really dissatisfied with the quality. There are now much better cars available in the market which are definately worth buying it. like innova, lodgy and mobilio.
Areas of improvement Maruti should provide good engines which are suitable for muvs and cannot run muvs with hatch back engines. it also need to work lot on build quality and service.
Space, suspension and mileageBuild quality not at all upto the mark and very under powered engine.Exterior/Styles

Exterior
Very good exterior with all the advanced features in high end version, Front light are very good, Fog lamps are good, Rear wash wiper, so overall they give all good features of high end model
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Very good fatures, Best one is the first and second row adujustable seats, which makes it very flaxible when all 7 people are travelling and can make sure all the 7 people have enough leg space. If 5 people travelling then first and second row get plenty of space. All the advance Interior features are given so thats good. Quality of fibre is also good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Didnt test it but heard that SX4 diesel engine is used.
Ride Quality & Handling
Very good
Final Words
Overall this will be game changer in this section which might be the winner over Innova. Big challange for Innova and Xylo.
Areas of improvement
Could have been 1 foot more long so that all 7 people would have got more leg space when full with some place for luggage which is currently the problem when all 7 people travelling.
Good engine, Good diesel fuel economy, Good interior and exteriorWould have been best in segment if had been 1 foot more long

Exterior: Good compact size , good looking ,uplift nose
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) ok ., as maruti did well , maruti put all its goodies in it, it is similar to dzire and ritz
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox.ok but maruti claims 16 - 18 kmp but it actually giving around 9 to 10 kmp.
Ride Quality & Handling is also average ,
Final Words for big size family it is a good car , but not hard core MUV or SUV but LUV- Light utility vehicle for day to day life in city
Areas of improvement engine performance, fuel econmy , interior design , Back side design need to improve
Suzuki did its best to attract by pricing the entry level version at a low price but the middle version of the diesel variant ends up costing nearly Rs.9lakhs (on-road Kolkata ) and the mileage is around 9 to 10 kmp
Compact sizelow kmp as claimed to be 16 to 18 kmpExterior/Styles

Exterior The all around looks gives an appealing feel. Front is in familier shape, though some changes could have given freshness. Side profile resembles Innova with exception of third row glass, looks gracefull. Back also resembles Innova & is gud, but, the tail lamp unit does not do justice with the overall looks of the vehicle. It should hav gone somewhat in vertical, enhancing height psycologically.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All is said & heard about interier space. What I felt here is that An auto climate control, cooled glove box, Armrests for driver & Co-driver, Third row spilt seat 50:50, Rear park assist/sensor should hav been included for at leat Top model. A further increase in price to the tune of 40-50 K for top model could hav been easily digested for all this stuff.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is gud one, tested tried, proved. But turbo lag is felt easily in low rpms. Once u cross 1800 rpm, u gets the taste of 200 nm of Torque. we could feel the gravity drag, when i pushed my foot little in gear 3, & with 6 ppl on board. IMMPRESSIVE... how says the car is under powered. FE is to b seen practically, theoratical figures r xcellent. Gear box is super smooth, with short throws, which is very easy to operate. One does not feel that he is driving little big vehicle.
Ride Quality & Handling Its all guud. 15" TL Tyers do well. 185 mm of GC gives a boon to driver, on Indian roads.
Final Words Smart Pack, Badda Dhamaaka.
Areas of improvement Plz change Tail light unit & accomodate few of the suggestions given above.

Exterior 😊😊😊 out of 5
1. Really don't want to comment as some might like it some might not.
2. Feel a more Contoured body would have been nice...I mean large wheel archs etc...
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 😊 I am 5.8 set the Driver's seat to liking did the same with the 2nd and the 3rd. Was able to suit in the 3rd row with adequate comfort. You would be suprised with the quantum of space in the 3rd row.
Getting into the 3rd row is not comfortable. Ladies with sarees would definately not want to get into the 3rd row. The AC is just great, 2nd row vents are more than enough for both the 2nd and the 3rd rows.
I am a great fan of XUV 500 and really wanted to buy it, seeing the kind of quality issues that the car is now facing...well Ertiga does seem the sensible choice.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 😊 Well its an existing platform, so expect great performance like the swift and Ritz. Having said that with 7 people in the car with Luggage expect the car to be Tortoiseish when it comes to pickup.
Ride Quality & Handling: 😊 Drove the car over a lot of pot holes and the drive was just great; Since, I drove the diesel car the shock absorbing was very good. Body role is evident when you turn at speeds above 40 Kms; other than that it is just like driving a Swift/Ritz.
Final Words 😊 Great car, even for long rides; low on snob value & looks! great practical mover with a frugle engine. Don't even think of racing :)
Areas of improvement Its a real blunder that the 3rd row ingress is such an hassle, No leather seats on the higher end ZDI, no Climate control! & Cruise control. When you design a car for long distance come on add cruise control...its totally worth it!!!

Recently launched, 960 kms run, feel good inside, about space economy, less on features, after running 300 kms found a click noise comming during 5 gear at 60- 70 speeds. When we apply power from engine slightly and release there is a clicking sound( sort of loose shaft and gear box coupling). I have been driving for over 20 years now my last car was an accent crdi and never found such sound in 6 years.
Sent car for 1 service they replaced what they could and brought back to me today, found that the sound still exists. You can try on your ertiga and i am sure it will be there if you are keen listen/hear.
Car was test driven by Maruti Suzuki north andhra service engineer and acknowledged, awaiting responce. they have given me demo car to move and the same repeats in the demo car too. It is a design fault. Hope they can find a solution to the problem.

Straight to the points :
I Own a white Ertiga Zdi alloy wheel, got it delivered on 25th june. Delivery within 12 days. Dealer : Spectra Motors Thane, dealer experience - very good.
LUV is excellent in ride comfort which is very important for a family, you get a good thigh support and the middle row (60:40) can be easily slided front and back according to requirement.
Test drove Nissan Sunny, Scala, Amaze, Vento and many others found Ertiga to be much much better (personal views)
No drag with 7 people on board, 5 adults and 2 kids, climbs slopes easily.
Easy to maneuver, handling is very easy, Audio system HU is very good, plastic quality is upmarket.
Beige interior and the Dashboard brown gives the interior an upclass feel, makes the cabin look roomy.
Breaks are very good ABS- EBD, cluth is very smooth, steering feels well balanced and gives confidence in handling, drivers height adjuster is very good and it helps in getting different riding positions ofcourse with the tilt steering.
F.E. achieved in the first 300kms is 14kmpl range (distance to empty) is another 300kms, driven 90% in city traffic (of which 50% bumper to bumper) 10% on highway. I have yet to take it for a long drive.
Tip to prospective buyers : read the reviews of the people who own the car, note down the pros and cons from the reviews, goto the showroom test drive LUV yourself and find out the facts.
Drive safe and enjoy!!!

Exterior This car has the divine looks, from any angle u may see. Good heavy steel body that can be felt everytime while opening n closing of doors and even when lifting up the Bonnet. Aerodynamic structure has given wings to the car. Good ground clearance make it a car for both road n off-road conditions.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors have been very well designed and there is ample space for one n all. The integrated music system with four in-door speakers has quite good output with CD, MP3, USB, AUX, Radio options. Inbuild power outlet for Misc. usage is also included, so all in all no electric part or work has to b done from outside vendor. Rear Arm Rest gives a luxury feel to it. Like 1st row, 2nd row is also front-back adjustable with 60:40 split that adds points to the comfort zone. Rear A/c vents make the car cool till the third row in just 5 min.too gud. Fitting of CNG cylinder has also been remarkable with not even an extra inch feels waistful. I included the Feliz accessories kit from Maruti, which made the interiors even more graceful. Seats are comfortable even on long dirves one won't feel even a bit of tiredness. 3rd row does have less leg space for long trips, but thats why its been named baby seat otherwise a family of 5 can use the foldable third row as a spacious rack for long trips. Noiseless indoor even in city traffic adds up to point tally. Speedometer has also been modified for CNG Version. There are sepetate petrol and CNG indicators alike the traditional light indicator for CNG which is quite good. All in all there are nothing so fancy features that one might not use on daily driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1400 CC engine gives a powerful feel on highways. Engine is Noiseless and one won't feel or recogonize the difference between the car running on petrol or on factory fitted CNG. I am getting an average of 17.5 approx. (on CNG) with AC in city n even more on highway drive and 11.5 approx. on Petrol. I got the 1st service done at 1120 km, but all know that it hardly makes any difference with just the regular checkup n washing of the car. I once drove it with a speed of 150+ on highway (YEW) with no vibration at all and 1400 CC engine responded well enough. Braking, I would say, could have been some how better rather ABS should have been included to CNG version also, it does count as did in my case that once while driving down a flyover with a suden braker ahead.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding it feels, driving a gentle lady in city traffic and a beast on highways. Handling is also remarkable, but if installed with front n back steel guards one must maintain the difference between the cars and as mentioned earlier also, it possess good ground clearance that make it both road n off-road car.
Final Words Finally, if one is looking for a spacious, powerful, some how luxurious and stylish car then definitly Ertiga VXI CNG is a good option (if CNG is available in your city).
Areas of improvement Allz good except that ABS should have been included to CNG version.
