Exterior Very stylish and classy design.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior plastic and switches is decent however at 8.5 lacs on road Pune could have been better. Excellent cabin space good leg room and shoulder room.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox KB12 Engine very smooth and quiet you can't hear the engine running from inside the cabin. Fuel economy is average 18 kmpl city + highway. Tested 14.7 kmpl in city traffic using full tank to full tank method. Automatic gear is boon in traffic however does slow down while climbing hill or flyover. There is manual gear mode to rescue in such condition.

Ride Quality & Handling My new car out of showroom was hard on ride quality even minor potholes and bumps send shock waves inside the car. Later found the tryre pressure was at 40 psi! Lowered to 32 psi ride is much comfortable now.

Final Words Excellent sub 4 meter sedan best in market.

Areas of improvement Paint quality, interior quality.

Looks classy, loaded with features, wide body true 5 seater, smooth AMT,fuel economy.Paint quality is poor, ride quality hard, pickup lags in Automatic.

Exterior The new Dzire 2017 model Looks very good. This Dzire's Headlights powerful enough. ORVMs work just fine. Large boot space, you can easily store all your luggage for a long trip.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable. Seats are nice and comfortable. The leg room in back seats is good enough. Speaker quality is fine too. AMT is very comfortable even in heavy traffic. Glove box has enough room. Child safety lock and other features are also present in VXI model.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very good, smooth and punchy. Good fuel economy. I get around 16kmpl in city and 18kmpl on highways in Petrol AMT version which is good enough.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is also very Good. Suspensions are good enough for Indian roads. ABS and EBD surely improves the confidence while driving on high speed.

Final Words It's a very good package. It has ABS, EBD and Airbag in all the editions. Buy the new Dzire if you want value for money kind of deal.

Areas of improvement Wipers and defogger does not work so well in heavy rain.

The Dzire car is amazing in space, driven and comfort. Mileage is also very good. I want to rate this car 5 star. I have driven this car about 5000 thousand kilomitars in cities and highways. The experience is very good. This car's controlling power is so good. I noticed the mileage of this car in the highway about 25-27 kilomitar/liter which is very good in comparison to other sedan cars.

      1. Buying experience- I bought in 2017 august and i got after a waiting of 2-3 months. Only Maruti knows why they create such Hype n wait in market. 2. Riding experience- drive is smooth but a bit noisy interior even inside petrol engine. Cabin insulation not good. The pickup is excellent and you can stretch upto 140kmph ( however i feel should not go as car weight is less). Brakes are very good with ABS a basic feature. Handling is also good with turning radius excellent for a sedan. 3. Looks are incomparable. Extremely elegant and upmarket front hexagonal grill with a glimpse of BMW grill. The tail light are LED with excellent finish. Interior is fabulous in terms of looks of dashboard with a wooden finish. All power windows with driver's one touch down. Rear armrest with cup holder excellent. Rear AC gives a feeling of a posh sedan. Although the plastic quality is cheap, seats are comfortable. Cons: bluetooth system not good. The quality us inferior of while plastic and body. 4. Servicing- usual maruti maintenance and mileage is good with 18-19kmpl on highways and 10-12kmpl in Delhi city. 5. Pros: feature loaded car (steering controls) with good Mileage and looks. Cons: Extremely unsafe as body is very cheap and light. Ifbif a monkey jumps on car roof then be prepared for a dent. Airbags are of no use if body is nit able to stop impact of collision. Very cheap quality of car overall as in that sometimes bumper comes out and other times plastics. Suggestion: car would have been excellent had maruti used quality steel and plastic even if a feature less.

I have a 2018 Maruti Suzuki Dzire. When I was out looking for a car Ford Figo Diesel was on top of my list because of its performance and handling. But then I did some maths and realised that buying a diesel for me was not a good option. So I started looking for petrol cars. My budget was around 8 lakhs and I wanted a city car as I already have a Nissan Terrano which is great on highways. I looked at Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Tata Tigor, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Dzire. I narrowed down on Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Dzire. I wanted to buy Baleno as I was getting Alpha variant for Rs. 8.20 lakhs on road. But my father insisted for Dzire as it has more boot space and sometimes he might use it as well. Also if running cost on petrol get out of our calculations( because running varies a lot, sometimes it shoots 3000 km a month and sometimes it hardly does 1000 km) then we can get CNG fitted and still have boot space left. So I agreed to get the Dzire. I got the Vxi variant as according to me it was value for money. Today I have driven it for 22k kms. My experience with Dzire is as I expected it to be apart from some minor issues which I had with the car or the service. The on the outside looks decent. It is neither eye catching nor it is weird. But definitely much improved from the previous generation. On the inside the car looks very good but when you touch the material you realise that you are sitting in an entry level compact sedan. The plastics used on the dashboard are of very cheap quality, especially on the lower portion of the dashboard and door trims. Quality is the only issue other than that the cabin is very spacious and practical. You get bottle holders and place to keep stuff in all four doors. The centre console also has good space. AC works very well. Even if the car is parked in bright sunlight you can be cool in 5-7 mins. Rear AC vents are also present, though I don't think they are of much use but still I appreciate that it is there. The only feature I miss in Vxi is electronically foldable rearview mirrors. And I also I had a complain from Maruti Suzuki regarding the rear parking sensors. According to new safety norms all new cars should be equipped with rear parking sensors. Alto was getting parking sensors and Dzire L and V variants were not which cost almost double. I had to get them installed after buying the car. Talking about the driving feel of the car, the engine and gear box is the best one can ask for at this price. The 1.2l K-series petrol engine is a gem. You press the accelerator and it is ready to rev. There is always surge of power present. The handling of the car is also decent. If you drive the car regularly you will be happy it but if you drive some other car with good handling then you might realise what you are missing. The steering and clutch is super light. Due to this super light clutch sometimes it gets difficult to get the feel from the clutch pedal and it ends up in stalling the car. But when you get used to it, using this car in city traffic is a effortless. But this is good for city drives only. Talking about city drives I easily get 18-20 kmpl in city with normal traffic and 16-17 kmpl in heavy traffic. On highways you can expect 22 kmpl if you are under 100kmph and driving at constant speed with not much load in the car. If there is load you will hardly get any difference in mileage from city mileage. On highways the car is not stable due to its light weight and thin tyres. Above 100-120kmph you start feeling disconnected from the road. If you overtake a truck on high speed you can feel the car shaking due to the air pressure created. So it is better to stay below 120kmph in this car. Also due to thin tyres the car is not able to get the grip properly under hard braking. About the service part, I have got 4 services done. When I purchased the car I was facing issues with clutch play. The play of the clutch was not optimum which led to jerks when pressing the clutch pedal for shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I told the service advisor to get it fixed. When I got the car back I didn't feel any difference in the clutch pedal and I was still feeling jerks. But I didn't get time to get back to the service station. At the second service which was at 5k kms I again told them about the same problem. I again I got the car back and was facing the same issue. I went back and complained about it, he adjusted the clutch but the problem was not completely solved. At the third service which was done at 10k kms I was quite frustrated and my anger came out. At 10k kms my problem was solved but at around 16k kms the clutch wire broke. I contacted the Maruti Roadside Assistance and the experience was pathetic. Also the labour charge for servicing at 20k kms was Rs. 2200, which is very expensive for a car of this price and on this they ask if you want to have oiling done on all the joints and hinges of the car for Rs. 300 (not sure of the amount). I don't know for what they are charging so much. Pros:1) Ample amount of space. 2) Very good mileage. 3) Good performance. Cons:1) Poor plastics used. 2) Very thin body sheet metal. Easily get dents.

Well my Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZXi MT has been a very pleasant and satisfying experience for me over all . Its ultimate driving refinement , engine smoothness , extremely silent cabin , well balanced and stable stance , really impressive interiors , are the key notes that strike the right chord in a customer's mind. Quality of stereo speakers is also very nice if not Marvellous , that much we can say . Now , owing to its petrol engine the fuel efficiency is decent at 12.5 to 13 kilometres per litre in the typical Indian city conditions and much better on the Highways where it returns around 16 to 17 kilometre per litre moreover the AMT Gearbox ( that is automated manual transmission ) also works well , probably better than many other models of Maruti Suzuki ...... . Hence , I must say that lot of research and development has been carried out in regards to the efficiency and driving pleasure with an automated manual gearbox by Maruti Suzuki and that's really appreciable. For a compact Sedan which has to be managed within 4000 mm length the looks are quite impressive especially the the grill the Chrome work used in the area along with combination LED lamp in rear , moreover the features provided are also diverse utilitarian and satisfy most of the requirements of an indian customer . Its driving dynamics and performance are impressive , the pickup is really steady and peppy in from 0 to 80 km per hour . The Dzire AMT gains a study speed in a rapid manner the driving stability , comfort and maneuverability in various driving conditions is surely above the average standard set in the Indian auto industry . It really feels as if you are driving a bigger sedan to help achieve this feeling the 15 inch larger profile tires are a great help along with a light body weight frame . The servicing and maintenance aspect are just a breeze and there is absolutely no botheration . As has been commanding reputation of Maruti Suzuki engines , their A/ C , lights , suspension and other equipments installed ; reliability is a given and you hardly have to worry about any aspect of maintenance . A point worth mentioning is the robust quality of suspension provided in all the four wheels and the superb lightweight power steering . Now as we all have known that everything in this universe has some flaws , limitations or shortcomings ...... show the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Z XI MP which I am driving is no exception and definitely needs to take care of the following aspects in any condition : -- 1.) The metallic body as well as the bumpers are very delicate and impart a sense of insecurity . Definitely I will be afraid of taking it out on long highways , moreover on those roads which are single and don't have any divider . 2.) Fuel efficiency as claimed by the Maruti Suzuki showroom sales executives is definitely not what we get as they claim too high figures like 16.5 to 17 kmpl in the city which is not usually the case with ac fully working . 3.) The electronic instrumentation which measures fuel average is also erroneous as it gives falsely higher values of mileage in the city as well as on the highways . Real figures are always lesser than what it shows . 4.) Switching off the ignition by push button switches off the music system which is not acceptable in today's Automotive world as even the music system used in many other cars of same segment doesn't totally switch off . 5.) At a price point of around 8.5 lacs (on road ) at least there should be a definite inclusion of auto retracting outside rear view Mirrors when you lock the car by key fob or by pressing the door handle button . 6.) the power steering does not return to its original position by auto matic mechanism as seen in many other cars even of lower segments and we have to manually turn it as soon as we make a sharp turn or a " a U-turn " which is irritating sometimes .
