Introduction I purchased VXi variant on 15 March. It was an upgradation from my 5 year old Alto LXi. Booked for ZXi, but had to end up with VXi due to non avaialbility of the variant within the time. Before I get into the experience, I wish Maruti had planned better in releasing this wonderful vehicle. As of now it has a huge waiting period, many MGA accessories are not avaialble, there was confusion on certain functionalities of the vehicle with the sales teams. Keping these aside as a 1 month old user I am extremely happy with the vehicle. My advice - instead of VXi, if you have ample waiting period, go for ZXi, because once you load the accessories etc. the cost nearly come same and you will get airbag, rear vipers, indicators on ORVM etc additional.
Exterior Though not a WOW, it is the best what you can expect from Maruti. They have taken care of the countouring to ensure perfect aerodynamics. Headlights are clear, and not a single blind spot when you are behind the wheel. There is scope for improving the rear side look. The new security features like door locks (wherein you can customize how manual central locking can function) and the ground clearance is noteworthy. The turning radius is amazing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Well designed interiors with lot of utility spaces to stuff your small items. The interior colors are excellent. Though the front suspenson is wonderful, as an user I felt the rear one need improvement. Very good leg space and width sufficent enough. The airconditioner also does a pretty decent job, even in hot bumper to bumper peak city traffic. The interior plastic though not of bad quality can be improved.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful engine, smooth perfromance. I am yet to get the vehicle for the first service, so expecting the gearbox to get bit more smoother. Will give 10 out of 10 for fuel efficiency. I had travelled around 150 kms in ghat session and another 400 in highway with an average mileage of 20.1, with good load (remember, yet to go for the first service).
Ride Quality & Handling Superb in class.Effortless riding with the Power steerings and Brakes. Once agin has to mention the wonderful turning radius. Tubelss tyres add to the comfort.
Final Words A superb vehicle which good value for the money you put. As I mentioned in the introduction section, ZXi would have been a better option since it comes fully loaded with not that huge price difference. But no regrets as the engine and otehr aminities remain same.

Exterior The car is good Looking at few particular angles and is not in most of the angles. The chrome grill at front is not soo good and i would have liked the Suzuki's Honeycomb Grill which is there in the Swift and the current SX4.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are pretty good and decent, when compared to the earlier cars which the current Celerio replaces, but not at par with the koreans. Space is huge and the cabin feels airy. Front seats are slender and vibrates at idle. Fronts seats offer good side support but the integrated headrest is not i would have wanted.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good and the Power seems to be, little more than Wagon R (which comes with the same engine). First Gear acceleration is short and the engine goes into idle quickly. In city driving this car with MT is not a good option, however go past 30 Km/Hr the car accelerates and pulls cleanly in it's 3rd and 4th Gear and the car reaches triple digit speeds quicky.
I drive all the way from Sohna Road,Gurgaon to Okhla Phase-3,New Delhi for my Work. It's approx 80 Km's a day and in peak City traffic still the car's returing an average of 19Km/Ltr with AC on always, which is fantastic.
The Gear Shift was Notchy and coming back to first or the second gear was notchier. But we'll be used to the car if you are driving the car for more than
Ride Quality & Handling Because of it;s high seating position, the car inspires confidence while driving and the car feels secure even at triple digit speeds, but actually it isn't. I had driven this car at 170 Km/Hr on Noida-Agra Expressway and never felt any sort of vibration and never ever felt lack of confidence on it's driving dynamics.
Final Words Best Car for it's price point. I had driven it approx 9000 Km's till date and hope to give my car for 3rd and Final Free service next month. Maintenance free till date and only spent for Tyre Alignment with balancing during 2nd Free Service.
Areas of improvement Could have imporved in aesthetics of the car. But good Value for Money. With Maruti's service. It's the best fit - if you are looking for a Good/Average Looking car with great Mileage and moreover on a budget band of 4.5-5 Lakhs.

Exterior Exterior is brilliant from the front. Looks like a sporty car but the rear look should have been better. Headlights look great. the aerodynamic windshield gives a class look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Now this, is what you get surprised about. When i got into the car , i was surprised to see that this small car is so spacious from inside. great leg room , good interiors - dual tone interiors make it look good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. the gearbox is not so smooth. Im good with the fuel economy with 20kpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality should have been better. the car vibrates too much on acceleration under 10kmph. Ride quality is not smooth as expected.
Final Words Overall its a good city car. value for money car for this segment.

I had purchased the celerio VXI on 20/03/14 and driven this car about 2000 Km, it is not worth for the price, the outer body (front & back) are made of plastic, very cheap quality and absolutely not safe.
The clutch arrangement is not good, the diamiter of the brake drum is very small for the body size,also the disc brake dia in the maruti advertisement it shows 23km/L, but in the city limit it gives only 11km/L.
The MAPMYINDIA system is fitted by maruti BIMAL Bangalore dealer, the blutooth mic is never works even after many complaints made, the dealer is not having qualified engineer for this system is maruti duing any R&D OR any survey about this celerio car perfomance on road condition?
This celerio car cannot be compared with 2003 maruti 800 because I used for the past 8 Years, In this car whether the electronic clutch are used OR if not, can it be fixed for additional cost.

Dear sir,
I have purchased the car due to reputation of Maruti. I already have a swift car since last 4 year. After buying the same I have realized that i have made 100% mistake. Since one year it have been a nightmare for me. I have sent the car at least 5 timesat service station but it have been declared ok on service point of view, I have talked with Mr Siddharth rathi also but they say that Maruti is right and its ok. Their is heavy Ac compressure noise while car isrunning or not running. Their is so much noise inside the cabin when speed reaches above 50 that it becomes unbearable. Dhruv automobiles supported me all the way by giving free demo of new car but in each car the same problem exits. It is not the mistake of service station but it is engineering design fault. At the name of new technology you cannot introduce such worst features. We have pain because we have spent money to buy the car. If in new car same noise problem exits then it cannot be said that everything is right. Even nano do not have such problems.
Hope that company will look into the matter and will refund our money because byke is better than this car!

Engine performance found good in last six months, Got mileage of 17km/ltr in city with ac and w/o AC adn on highway 19 with AC/W/o AC
As per as gearbox is concerned less power on 4th gear; you can feel it on highway you have to shift on 3rd and 2nd for overtaking .

Driven 5000 kms so far in my Celerio VXI (MT). Of this 1500 kms on highway and the rest in Bangalore City. It gives 15 kmpl with AC in city and 19 kmpl on highway. On highway I have reached upto 120 kmph and felt safe and comfortable. The car has a good turning radius and is comfortable for the city drive too, the 5 speed gear is comfortable so far. The car is done two services so far and Maruti's service is good.
The look is just average but I dont think one can expect more than this for the price tag it carries. Mine is a family of four with 2 children and this is doing good enough for both city and highway drive. Maruthi could improve a little more on the look and interiors. This is probably the best car in the economy segment. True value for money.

Final Words Its a big nightmare for me, I am feeling like astonish. Maruti suzuki is a big cheater, they are giving fuel economy of 19Km/L in city, while I am not getting mileage of 10Km/L. A huge vibrations, 8 Km/L average in city on a.c, How can they justify too low mileage inside city with a 1000cc car. Guys, dont buy this car ever otherwise you will also feel like me. I have purchased this car in July, I have covered only 1600Km and already filled petrol of more that Rs.12000. Half of the distance is covered on highway, still too much petrol consumed. I dont know how to manage my expense with this car... 😢 I will not suggest this car to anyone in future. Even my old Santro was giving more mileage in comparison to this car.

Exterior Design looks good, body lines are perfect and hot, the back looks a bit let down, it would have been if added with a antenna at the back of the hood.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Cabin space is awesome, seating is comfor 2 in the front and 3 in the back, space for things is good, but made of not good quality plastic interiors.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have done 2000 KMS till now, the best part of the car, trust me I own a vxi mt version a new driver, I am able to pull around 21 kmpl on highways, on top gear it is butter smooth, you drive it the way it is designed to pull the full juice of it, its a machine designed to deliver the milage, gear box is typical maruthi with bit of notch.

Exterior Looks are fantastic from front, but rear could have been little better. From a distance it looks very light.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very much comfortable and lots of space even the boot space. Much more than Swift/Wagon R/Datsun/Etios etc. Boot space is much more than Wagon R, you can keep lots of grocery, many suitcases. Front view is good, rear view mirror gives complete back picture.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine seems bit week as per 1k cc engine. Fuel eco is excellent. Gear box could have been little bit smooth. Esp in 1st gear and reverse gear. Car shakes above 90. Thats a concern and after 3 services nobody has been able to locate it. Even after alignment.
Ride Quality & Handling Easy on the road, easy on the traffic. Could have been made little heavy as per the price and segment.
Final Words Go for it. good family car in this range.
