Baleno Delta Diesel review, purchased on 28th January 2016, completed 4200kms.

Exterior It actually looks like luxurious/premium class hatchback. It’s bulky, lengthy, stylish & have great road presence. But sheet metal is very thin & flexible, plastic bumpers also. It get dent easily with small impact at low speed.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No comparison in terms of space in its class, it’s really very specious & comfortable. Even it is specious than some sedans also. All 3 seats at rear get enough shoulder room & back rest; also we have travelled with 4 at rear seat comfortably without any trouble.

In terms of feature its very well equipped with all essential things. Music system is good, no need to upgrade speakers even no need to install woofers too. A/C is not that effective, it takes more time to get cool, it must have rear a/c vent as cabin is very big & lengthy. Also being a premium class it must equipped with cooled glow box.

Dashboard & trims plastic quality is not that good, its not suitable for tag line 'Premium Hatchback'. It looks poor & old once dashboard polish gets dry.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Being swifts engine no need to say anything, its responsive, economical & durable. Expected 90PS Variable Geometry Turbo Engine, but overall its good enough for light weight (970kg) car. Engine & Gearbox is refined, smooth & responsive but little bit noisy. Little turbo lag is there below 1700-1800 rpm. It gives 20-22kmpl in city & 23-25kmpl on highway with 100-120kmph (both with a/c).

Ride Quality & Handling Handling & Drivability is excellent, effortless to drive. Steering is light weight & sensitive. No body roll even at high speed on sharp turns. Overall suspension is good but can be better. On highway it feels like seating in roller coaster, engine very responsive, touches 3 digit speed effortlessly in very short span of time. At 140-150 kmph also its very stable & smooth.

Final Words Overall its great value for money car. It have all that we all are looking for. Premium look, affordable, easy & effortless drive, comfortable for 5, equiped with all essential & safety features & mainly fuel economy.

Areas of improvement Sheet metal & Plastic thickness, Dashboard & Trims plastic quality, Suspension, a/c, cabin noise/insulation.

Nice car but have to look breaks ...and build quality ...every thing is going good I am happy customer..but as in i20 u need som safety measures too...aur bags should be more... interior's should be given in doul tune...and in disel noise should be controlled more..every thing is fine..I love to drive baleno Thanks

Osum car it is ndd looking wise also mind-blowing nd this car seat are very comfortable and her fuel tank also very big and luggage space is also very very space in this car and only last one is this that car is awesome.

Exterior Nice looking car with an excellent appeal. LED lights give a great view from back. Looks like a sporty car in Red color.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very Comfortable seating and more space then Dzire & Swift. Good sound quality for those who dnt want thumping bass. Nice AC cools cabin very fast.  

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Thing is it has a smooth gear shift and no vibration in lever.

Bad thing is while shifting gear from 1st to 2nd it give jerks if you instantly remove your foot from clutch and also pick up is not good in 1st gear as compare with Dzire and Swift.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good response to steering specially in hilly areas and on curved roads. Ride is also stable.Cutting is very good then of Dzire and Swift.

Final Words Very Lucky to get this car in a waiting of 1 Day. Overall Car is Excellent except 1 or 2 Areas of improvement.

Areas of improvement Company should work on the engine noise which you fell while seating in the cabin also(This thing you feel in Dzire and Swift after 1year) which gives a bad impresion to the car.

AC, DRL, CABIN INSULATION ,GREAT MILAGE , GOOD DRIVER SEAT COMFORT AND VISIBILITY , GOOD SPACEEngine noise in the cabin

Looking very good, but cannot compare with i20 elite. Paint finishing is bad. The body is made with very low quality sheet and back seat is like a school bunch. Maruthi don't think about rear seat travellers. Months before , I met an accident with i20.Face of the cars is well damaged and i20 have little problem. Building quality of maruthi cars are so bad. But good service and low cost maintenance.

Hello all i am gonna write this review after Got it 4 months ago and after 9000 driving stil getting avg of 18 only.and the build qlty is very cheap got scratch and dent very easly.good thing is AC cooling is very fast driving comfert is good.sorry for my english if anything is wrong??.ll update after 3rd service if any changes comes.

car is good and performing nice with 19.2 p/km average. i am not happy with service team. they change brake disc in both 10 k and 20k service which seems good , but i don't know how to check i think service cost is quite expensive as both time they charged 6 k and 7.9 k respectively , which i think too much. interior quality is also not very good. brakes makes noise on sudden press

Maruthi Suzuki Delta 1.3 is the perfect hatchback with required features for upper middle class family. The features included perfectly suits in all ways. 2 points I noted are: 1. The price difference for Petrol car (Delta 1.2) and diesel car Delta 1.3 is very high. 2. The 2D music system provided could have been the touch screen system with rear camera. This can be possible in this price....
