Exterior Okay exteriors, not so great, feels good to sit, but not great to see, could be better.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable seating but very dull and un cool interiors for a car like this.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Brilliant engine and power, poor mileage, nice gearbox with good transmission.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Amazing ride quality and fantastic handling. Easy driving capabilities, While driving, you wont feel you are handling a big car.

 

Final Words PEOPLE DRIVE CARS BUT I DRIVE A BALENO 😎.

 

Areas of improvement No scope, I guess. 😢 If re-vamped and re-launched, will sell like hot cakes for sure.😉 Hope Maruti Suzuki will think about relaunching Baleno once again on the streets and people will be there to grab them. All that they need is a bit of appropriate styling inside as well as outside of the car, a bit of tuning in the fuel efficiency area and the combination of power and looks will do the magic.

Exterior I have heard people commenting about Baleno's looks. I personally never felt its bad looking car. The long bonnet, The width of the car, gives sporty looks. Trust me if you make a little bit of modification it can look far better. Something like, Alloy wheels, stickering, Spoilers can make it a good piece.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am pretty happy with the interiors. For the cost price, We cannot expect anything more than this. It has got the best AC set, Comfortable leather seats, very good boot space, cup holder, power steering, Power windows etc. The only thing I didn't like is the factory fitted audio system. Its literally outdated.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sounds very smooth. Especially when windows are closed, we can hardly notice that the vehicle is moving. At times gear shifting is little tough but its ok with me. Don't expect a very good mileage from this car. I am ok to compromise as it has got the best pickup in its class. I am getting a mileage of 10 Kmpl without AC.

Ride Quality & Handling As already mentioned, Handling is amazing. With all the windows closed, AC on, you almost feel like you are resting in heaven. The rear seat is much comfortable and gives the atmost comfort even at the high speed.

Final Words Maruti usually doesn't care about the products they stop manufacturing. I was shocked to find there was no user manual in Maruti website for this car. First of all, its unanswered question, why did even Maruti fail withdrew this product.  If you are not too particular about mileage, Looking for comfort you can really opt for this car. I have heard parts are expensive.

Areas of improvement This car vanished unnoticed. So many people might not even have heard about this beast. Believe it or not this can easily beat honda city, accent, OHC, Ikon. It has got an amazing power. Maruti should really come up with good marketing skills and they should not deny supporting the vehicles they stopped manufacturing.

I love my car. It is amazing, I have not spent anything except Service . I am afraid i wont match of this vehicle Its Engine roar like lion. Excellent overall I will rate this exceptional

This car is a rival to Honda City vtec , Mitsubishi lancer and hyundai accent .By performance this is the best vehicle compared to all the other vehicle mentioned above .It has the best end torque to kick in .Anyday this is the only option I recommend and prefer by my experience as my friends had Honda City and accent

 

Exterior The appearance of the car from a distance is better than from close quarters especially the rear side.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable and good leg room for an average Indian (5 feet 10 inches).

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As I write I have now driven my car purchased in January 2005 for over 112,000 kms. Barring two occassions I have always got very good efficiency between 14 to 16 kmpl. This is for a 50 % city and 50 % highway drive bewteen  Mumbai and Thane. On highways and long drives to Goa the car has given fuel efficinecy in excess of 16 kmpl at times even clocking 17.4 kmpl. Low on maintainence - would have spent Rs. 60,000 on change in suspensions. Areas of concern - spare parts avalability since the car has been discontinued and quite a few spares including the suspension has to be sourced from Japan.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very stable at high speeds - driven at 150 kmph on Mumbai Pune expressway on many occassions. The low car CG helps on the stability front. The sporadic issue of the car scraping the speed breakers is due to the unequal height / non standard speed breaker height. Dont blame the car but the civic authorities !

 

Final Words I will not part with my Baleno till such time spares run out. If possible ride it till 200000 kms. Too difficult to part from this car. Loved the Altura looks especiallly the rear end but could not buy since it was more expensive. If Suzuki offers an Altura today will definately buy it !! Maybe if they offer a brand new Baleno today will still buy another one. A great value for money car !! Don't understand why it was discontinued.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seats and dash could have been better, good space, excellent comfort. A.C. is the best part. better than corolla and accord.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best in its class, 12.5 kmpl, a true driver's car.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride[better than corolla h2, ikon 1.6, honda 1.5, esteem, dzire.

 

Final Words Despite of having these cars, i love to ride in baleno due to its comfort, imported wide tyres make the difference in ride. 3rd gen. honda 2006 unibox is nothing in front of it.

I purchased a used baleno vxi but it seems like if i bought it from showroom. Best car for highways, I love this car for long running. In styling, it is much more better than sx4. The airconditioning is very good and the seats are very comfortable. Also for the enthusiasts this is one hell of a mod-supportive car both exterior and Engine. All in all Baleno is excellent value for money and with the car going off production on ecan expect it to be hot in the used car market.

Baleno is a wonderful car. it is so smooth and it drives freely along any kind of roads. transmission is esay during the drive and powers also good. Interiors are a bit dissapointing and the rear looks to. the car  doesnt have a good resale price, I wonder how but I think that ms dint do good by stopping this car this early. I can guarenty ms that if it launches a new version of baleno then it will crush the sedan market. I think that the mileage is a bit low but every thing is ok till its a pleasure driving the car I would say that baleno is a superb car for people who love fast driving. Its really a fusion of a sport and luxury car. I think that its handling is also nice, The main promlem in the car is the ground clearence. it rubs harshly when you are travelling in the galis so I recommend you that please dont go for a baleno if your work is in the village or you have frequent travel throug it. at the end I would say that ms should go for a new baleno.

It's one of the best luxury cars ever sold by Maruthi Suzuki in India. The power delivery is amazing and is more than enough to drive peace fully in India. It's not a newbie's car but a stock car can top speed upto 185kmph. The handling is also amazing. The only fear is driving through a speed bump especially in city's as the ground clearence is very low. Upon all it's the best car when driven by a proper driver. It'll never let you down. Afterall it was the fastest car on Indian roads when it was launched.
