Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 [2012-2016] User Reviews

Alto is a perfect small family car which fits well for a family of 4 or even 5. It is one of the best cars to be used inside the city area, where there is so much of traffic, parking problems and pollution. This car is compact, comfortable and economical. It has all the basic requirements. The car performs well on the highways as well and sometimes gives an economy of 21 km/hr which is unbelievable for any car. I use it from ages and highly recommend it as a budget-family car.

Exterior

 Exterior is not bad but  fog lamps is not there.so i wont like there.so plz launch with fog lamps and day light.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Interior front is comfort back seat is not comfort

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is soo good,mileage around upto 20 with A/C 22 with non- ac.not bad.but if we on ac it takes slow pickup brakes are noy powerfull like swift or k10.small segment but it is in petrol version.if it comes in diesel version no one can beat the car. It tops in all cars.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Handling is nice but pickup is slow.not like swift pickup brakes are bad not like swift

Final Words

 Finally i want to say it is best car but for city purpose not for long drives.in long drive our back bone pains the seat arrangement is not perfect.we cant go long drives.lights are well but not space for luggage.

Areas of improvement 

In starting while we buy a new alto 800 it gives mileage upto 15- 20 after 10000-15000 kms,we drive it gives around 20-25 good performance after 10000 kms .nice car

 

i like mileage in this cari wont like front part it doesnt gives fog lamp but in 2016 new model launches with fog lamp

Last month on 12th july got my 1st car Maruti Alto 800 Vxi. 1st car is always bring dream come true feelings. 

Now more than 1 month I am driving this. So I think it is the time to give review.

I bought this from OSL Motor cop Kolkata Baguiwati Show room.

Exterior Exterior is nice and simple. It may not attractive like EON or Kwid but it feels good when you see it. Look is very decent and clean and you should not feel bore if you are not choose enough. I will suggest to go with Vxi as it comes with all exterior features like guards and rear spoiler. This gives sporty touch to the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Well interior is good. color combination looks prety well. But it does not feel very high quality as  chip quality of meterial is used. Dash board looks nice. But Ac controls are not attractive much.IT comes with 2 front speakers. Sound quality is ok ok type. IF you want you can put 2 back speker.seats are good. but back seats are not very spacies for 3 people.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is really smooth. I drove EON and KWID but really I felt my car is smoother. May paper it is diffrent but on real world this feels much better then other. Yes it is true that putting AC will hamper the pick up. But honestly Alto 800 is not for racing. So according to its expection it generates great pick up and power. 5th gear required after 80 Km/h. After put the on 5th gear it easily reach 90-100 km/h speed. I think it decent one. 

Mileage is good. it has to because this car is made for milage consern people only. 1 month got 15 kmpl with out AC, and with AC may be 12- 13 kmpl. Now it is better. And may it will be better in next few months. And yes AC is very effective. 

Ride Quality & Handling Handeling is prity good. Very pepy to drive. Steearing is not very light. I felt other car steering more lighter than this. gear box is smooth but it makes little sound while changing. It may be for my can only. I am not sure for other alto 800 as i have not driven other.

Final Words For 1st car it is the best I would say. If you are not very much choosy with looks and heavy power. Then you have to go for 1200 cc cars. 

Areas of improvement Back wiper is not given . I think that is required on rainy days. And atleast VXI model should come with 4 speaker. Sound quality can me little better. Little Engine noise is there on high speed. IF that can be taken care then nice.
