Maruti 800 revolutionized personal travel in India. It brought in hopes to common man that one day, he / she could own a car that was contemporary, refined and comfortable. I would have expected Maruti to have evoked a similar response from common man when they introduced the new Alto. The design might remind you all of the Dolphin car released long back by the Sipani Group. Quality is highly questionable have already heard of complaints in the form of rattles. Also interior gives a very plasticky feel, something that Maruti should look at their Korean car makers.
Engine has refined to a great extent and ride is good. Very comfortable and capacious enough to seat 5 people with enhanced leg-room.
Gone are those days, when people valued fuel economy, space, durability. Indian People now look for style statement - Contemporary Design, Great looks, Features and sooner Maruti understands these sentiments, the better it is for them.
Looking forward to Maruti introducing a 'Iconic' small car.
Value for Money - Good Fuel EconomyBad Design, Low Quality
